Thanks for the advice, everyone. I might get some nice headbands, and sometimes I wear a hat my sister made me, with my hair pinned back. Maybe I'll have her teach me to do French braid twist, cause when she does that for me it looks great. And I could probably do braids. But I don't want to do straightening. I like my hair, just I'd like some variety. :)
So, thanks again!!

Hair? Ah, my favorite! Why haven't I posted here before?? I'll blame it on my lack-of-posting-ness.

Anyway...

But - I've got shoulder length curly hair, and I don't really know what to do with it. I almost always leave it down, but I'm kind of bored with it, and I'd like some simple, everyday things to do with it. Any suggestions?

Common problem. I love what sillygoose suggested here:

You could get colorful headbands and wear them. That's what I do when I get bored of just leaving it down. You could also put it up into a messy bun

Great advice! I have a friend who has shoulder length curly hair and she straightens it quite often, but she also wears it in a messy bun a lot, which I think is really cute. Messy buns are my favorite hairstyle and they are really helpful with my long hair! My hair is actually up in one right now. ;)) Oh, and headbands are adorable! I also really love flowers and bows. A couple of weeks ago, I was on a flower making kick...Ta da! (yes, it's only 5...I need to make some more ;)) ) They are really cute on a thin headband or just pinned into your hair with a bobby pin (I have the black one in my hair right now). One of my older sisters has a 6-month-old girl, and she has her wear lots of knitted headbands with big bows on them, so she had me make her some flowers for her. ;)) They look really cute!
As for any more suggestions for you, Ellie...doing a small braid in the front of your hair and just leaving the rest of it down (or pulling it up into a ponytail) would be really cute. Small braids are a great way to add some detail and 'funness' to ordinary hairstyles. ;))

Am I the only one who loves to look through wedding hairstyles? ;)) I have NO intention of getting married anytime soon, but I still love to look at them. :P I really like this one. :)

This post has turned out longer than I thought it would. ;))

Ta ta for now!

Going back to eyebrows, I pluck them myself. I wouldn't trust anyone else.

My go to eye makeup look is a look I got from a Demi Lovato music video, lol. It's silver eyeshadow over the eyelid with black or charcoal eyeliner and black mascara. I wear it almost every day. And I just got the most amazing product for it! It's Mary Kay shimmering eye shadow. It's a liquid and they don't sell it anymore. My mom sells Mary Kay and she had two of these eyelids and they were too old to sell so she just gave them to me!

Can anyone explain to me what does the eyeliner do to the eyes exactly? Just curious. :D.

Eyeliner helps define your eyes and makes them stand out more.

I very rarelly wear make-up, but when I do it is usually just mascara. And the reason why is because I have pretty long eyelashes but the ends are light. So I put a bit od mascara on so you can see their full length ;;)

Eyeliner, when used properly, is to make your eyes appear larger. Mascara is supposed to make your eyelashes appear longer and darker--but again, this only happens when it is applied correctly.

^^ Yea. And if you apply black eyeliner all the way around your eyes like a lot of girls like to do, it's not flattering and makes your eyes look smaller! So please, don't wear black eyeliner all the way around your eyes.

And don't go crazy smudging the eyeliner. Theres a fine line between smokey eyes and well raccoon eyes. I think it's kind of funny when girls have so much eye liner they look like raccoons. To also make your eyes look bigger dab a little white eyeshadow or eyeliner on the inner corners of your eyes. At first i thought it wouldn't work but it completed the whole look. I don't usually like wearing mascara because I hate taking it off.

Oh and Michelle Phan on youtube does amazing makeup tutorials. I love the look on her "Aurora Eyes" video. Mine came out a lot lighter and more subtle because my eyeshadow set isn't as good as hers but personally I think that ended up looking a lot better on me. For those of you interested in how to do a smokey eye properly, you might want to look into this video. This would normally look better, the the model here already has dark circles under her eyes, which doesn't make her look her best. :- Anyway, this shows how to apply the light eyeshadow that sillygoose talks about. This is a more professional technique, so lots of people avoid it, but if you're going to do eye make up, it is worth the time to learn.

Disclaimer: I ain't sellin' MAC products. They just have excellent videos (and excellent products that are...too pricey for the average Jill. I don't even buy MAC).

^Oooh! This reminds me of Taylor Momsen's make-up. I saw it in an interview and wpw (not in a good way), her eyes were full of black make-up. She looked like an addict there.

Hey, is it true that make-up adds up pimples? Or it depends?

^^ I think it's only if you don't wash your face. I can't really speak from experience because I don't wear foundation or blush. My skin is really sensitive so I try to stay away from stuff like that. And besides I get acne whether or not I wear makeup. :p

Oh haha.

I think foundation is the best make-up I love to put on when there's an occasion. It covers my eyebag when I have one, especially when it's big.
