Great topic, FK! Thanks!
Rose-Tree Dryad, what a beautiful dryad description!
flambeau, I know the second one! *raises hand* It's Traitor who mended, right? I like how you fitted Ed in there. It's a neat username, but it would have looked pretty unusual...
The Pendragon - I know that movie! I was wondering if that's where you got the name!
Meltintalle, I like your name a lot better then Silamadan.
When I was joining (after lurking around for a little while) I decided I wanted a name that was Narnian sounding, without being actually mentioned in the books; I wanted it to stand out a little from all the Susans!
I chose Adeona (female form of Adeone) which means "Royal" in Welsh. I think it's quite Narnian, and anyways I love it!

" Valiant" is for "Lucy the Valiant" as you probably already guessed.
I always really liked that title for Lucy. I think it was when I first read LWW that I learned the word "valiant"; I thought it was a nice sounding word.
Also, I think that along with knowledge, courage (or valiancy) is the virtue I value the most.
So there you go: Not the most original username I suppose, but it's short and sweet.

It's been really neat reading all of these stories.
Mine's really generic I guess... 'cept nobody but me knows what the P. stands for.

Ooh, I like the last one, flam! I also think I've figured out the first one...
SpoilerFor the Son of God and For the Lion?
Woah! You're actually pretty close! It was intended to be 'For the saints of God and for the Lamb'. It's from This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti.
Goodness, flam! You would have looked like a spammer. *knows what the names mean*
Hehe. Yeah, I would have.
flambeau, I know the second one! *raises hand* It's Traitor who mended, right? I like how you fitted Ed in there. It's a neat username, but it would have looked pretty unusual...
That is correct! I agree, I thought it sounded neat, but I hated how it looked typed out.
Your username is quite neat, btw! How exactly is it pronounced? I've always wondered that.

Mine is rather simple, I had my username as my password for my e-mail address for a while because I knew none of my siblings would ever be able to guess it to sabotage my account.
I used it because I love the LOTR and Aragorn is my favorite character, and since he was the second Aragorn to be king of Gonder, I decided Aragorn2 sounded good.
My mom read Magician's Nephew to me first and I really like Queen Helen in the story. When I went to chose a username, Queen Helen one chosen, so I went with FirstNarnianQueen. Simple really.
I loved reading everyone's usernames. It's cleared up a few questions I've had for a couple years.

Mr tumnus has always been my favourite character, so thats where the name come from.
... deviated from my normal forum name of StealthDonut, which has a far funnier and more interesting story behind it ...
I must know more.
I wanted a cool screen name from Lord of the Rings. Combing through an Orc language, I found the word ceppault. I can't pronounce it well. Discovered only later it translates roughly to "boy who fetches chamber pot." It fell into disuse as Orcs don't use such things for some reason. Go figure.
No. Not really.
Working as a supervisor on ambulance many years ago, my coworkers would bellow "C. E. P" to get my attention, or yell "Paul T." CEP is the acronym for Certified Emergency Paramedic. The rest is my first name and middle initial. It became my email address about 10 years ago. Used it then for a forum or two; it stuck.
I even misspelled it when joining the forum as cepault. Fantasia Kitty fixed it only a few years ago.
Have had the same avatar since 2005. Creative, huh? I think I would get hurt if I changed it now.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
Well... there is a story behind my username, but fanfiction is not allowed on NW.
But it has absolutely nothing to do with any of the Pevensies, especially the boys. *shudders*
If you want my little explanation, then PM me and I'd be happy to tell you.
However, there is a funny story about me and someone else that has to do with my username. Sometime in February of this year, I decided to become a member of NW after following it for awhile. I chose HighQueenofNarnia as my username.
But, apparently, another girl (at least, I'm assuming it's a girl) chose High Queen of Narnia as her username, and she registered within a few days of me.
So, our dearly beloved johobbit got us confused and thought we were the same person. She PM'ed both of us and asked if we had duplicate accounts. I thought maybe I'd registered twice and accidentally put spaces in (because I had some issues with registering), and I ALMOST PM'ed jo and told her that maybe I'd accidentally done that and that she could delete one of the accounts.
But, by the grace of God, High Queen (not me) PM'ed johobbit before I saw jo's PM and said that she didn't have duplicate accounts, so then I realized that it was actually another person.
That would have been rather disastrous, had I done that.
But people still get us mixed up. I haven't seen High Queen on here fore awhile, but I got a birthday message for her from ramagut back whenever her birthday was.
Rachel was actually PM'ing me because I made a silly mistake in Games and Blogs and skipped X (the letter in the alphabet) in one game which was naming places with consecutive letters of the alphabet. I went straight from W to Y.
Rachel's message went something like this.
"First off, happy birthday!
And secondly, even though it's your birthday, you can't change the letters of the alphabet."
She then went on to point out my mistake.
You can imagine my confusion. But I realized that she had seen High Queen of Narnia's name in the birthday place at the bottom of the page, and thought it was me!
So, I'm HighQueenofNarnia, and someone else is High Queen of Narnia, and yet someone else is HighQueen_of_LanternWaste, and yet someone else is HighQueeneShellyBelly, or something like that.
Just remember that I don't have the spaces!

Neat, ceppault! That's a pretty impressive beginning for your username. And I love the "Orc" translation.
Wow, that's quite a story, HighQueenofNarnia!
Your username is quite neat, btw! How exactly is it pronounced? I've always wondered that.
Thank you!
I pronounce it Add-ay-own-ah (sorry, I'm not so good at typing out pronunciations! But that should be understandable). I've been unable to find an "Official" pronunciation on naming websites, but I like the way I've been saying it.

These are all neat (and some reasonable) stories!
Well, mine is because a lot of statistics that they come out for teens leaves me as an outlier (a number that is so off from the common thought, that it's normally just cancled out), and lots of people that I'm around don't really care for narnia either, so I like to think of it like I'm an outlier in my niche here

My user name is an acronym for Daughter of Eve; Child of God. I wanted a good Narnia user name, but most of what I could think of was already taken. Then I heard an advertisement for a play adaptation of LWW in which they said something like “see the Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve become Children of God.” I thought that had a nice ring to it because it described the transformation from sinner to saint in a Narnian way, so I took it for my user name.

How I got my username is pretty simple. Right around the time I joined the forum, I read Megan Whalen Turner's books about the thief Eugenides, and fell in love with them. I wanted to make Eugenides a part of my username, but figured if I called myself Eugeides i might get mistaken as a guy, and I love the Queen of Attolia. So I combined Eugenides's title as thief with Attolia to comemorate the Queen, and that was it. I love it,and never want to change. I love learning the story behind everyone elses username, great idea Fantasia Kitty.

*thinks she might try calling Shadowlander "StealthDonut" sometime to see if he responds* (I'd love to hear the story behind that name, if you will.)

Ahem...well...where to begin. Really, it's nothing that epic . Back in my Air Force days I didn't have a nickname really...early on they called me "Rock" stating that they'd call me "Brick", but bricks served a purpose. None of the guys who called me that were still with me a few base transfers later and the name wouldn't stick, so mostly I would respond to "Hey you! What are you standing around for?". One of the reasons I work 3rd shift (night shift) is because I have a sleep condition which prevents me from being able to sleep before 3am (at the earliest) and I've had it for years. I suffered through the Air Force with it and as a result was constantly late. The shop rule was that the last one into the office everyday had to buy everyone donuts. Needless to say I was expert and knowing how many jelly donuts, glazed, and Boston Creams everyone wanted, so they gave me the moniker of "Donut". Then a bunch of us started doing paintball and this eventually morphed into full fledged wargames we did over on the Army base next door (with blanks and lasers and other cool things ). The others liked to go in and charge hard, guns a-blazing. I liked to sneak around and surprise people and got decent enough at it that they started calling me Stealth.
So one day, to no one's surprise, they melded the two together and I was rewarded with the nickname StealthDonut, which has stuck ever since...although most of the old crew sometimes just call me Donut. Probably lost something in the translation, but I looked something fierce what with all my camoflauge and M-16 and (simulated) death-dealing grin.
