I wanted to write a little bit about my birthday. Hope that's OK. I don't really check out this thread much, so I feel kind of bad about just popping in to talk about myself. But I don't feel bad enough to refrain from doing it. 
The day was honestly something of a pain because my stomach felt upset off and on throughout it and my family took me out on the town and kept offering me all these greasy, sugary foods and drinks. They were so chipper and enthusiastic about it that I couldn't refuse. 
Besides that doesn't happen very often. I've got to make the most of it.
On the whole, the day was a success. Among other things, I received as a gift from an aunt and uncle a copy of Alex Lubertozzi's translation of Charles Perrault's fairy tales. It's really good, modern enough to be easily readable but not so modern that it's distracting. I also rewatched the Phineas and Ferb New Year's Eve special. I love that one of my favorite TV shows has an episode about my birthday. And my stomach was able to calm itself in fits and starts enough for me to enjoy most of the food.
I'm hoping the day after my birthday can be a day to just relax though.
