Hi there I am new here but I am an old timer at NarniaFans. Always thought this web site forum was more nerdy and young for me that NarnaFans, but I finally decided to come over here and see if I am as welcome here as there .
I go by the name of TimmyofOz.
I am a single king.
Favorite literature is Peter Pan, Oz Books, and the Chronicles of Narnia.
Favorite Narnia book is a toss between The Horse and His Boy, and the Silver Chair. I have read or listen on audio books all of the Chronicles more than I can count. I also love Lewis' Space Trilogy. I first read the Chronicles when I was in my early 20's back in 1980.
I am an American.
And I Love Jesus.
Welcome to the forums, TimmyofOz! Lol, we can be rather nerdy around here, but I like to think that it's in a good way. The Horse and His Boy and The Silver Chair rank very high on my list of favorite CoN books as well!
If you like discussing literature, you should check out the Books Thread, as well as all of the Narnia-related subforums for lots of discussion about the Chronicles and C.S. Lewis! There's also a thread for Christianity, Religion and Philosophy, if you enjoy discussing those topics.
The Town Square in Ditto Town is the main hangout for random, general, day-to-day discussion, so feel to say hi over there as well. Enjoy exploring the forum, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!
A warm welcome to you, TimmyofOz, to NarniaWeb! Mmm, I really like Lewis' Space Trilogy as well. Have you read any of his non-fiction? As for a favourite of the beloved Chronicles, I always say that my favourite is whichever one I am reading at the time. However, if I was put to it and had to choose, probably The Silver Chair. Interesting about The Horse and His Boy: as I child, it was my least favourite, even though I still really liked it; as an adult, it has become so much more. The depth of meaning is astounding, and has meant a great deal to me in my life's journey, particularly the chapter, "The Unwelcome Fellow Traveler".
I hope you feel at home here. It's great to have you!

Welcome, imagine! I hope you enjoy reading and posting in the forum.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Thank you so much to everyone for the warm welcome!
1. Name (please avoid your real full name): Anquinos, though you can call me Anqui, Quinn, or Quinos. Whatever really works
2. King or Queen of Narnia (guy or girl): King of Narnia
3. Family (single/married/kids): I guess I'd be considered single. Never really dated before, so I guess that's what I'd be considered haha I'm also the youngest of five kids.
4. Occupation: I'm currently a college student. Double major: Web Design & Music. I'm also currently working at my college's tutorial center.
5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I honestly don't know. I think my brother was looking up news about the Prince Caspian film, and we kind of stuck to this site since then. Although I've been a fan of Narnia for a long time now and have followed the news on this site for about 6 or 7 years, I never really seriously thought about joining until last night. So, I did.
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: I was either seven or eight when I first read the Magician's Nephew. Unfortunately, I am one of those fans who saw the BBC films before reading the books. Thankfully this didn't scar my experience of reading the Magician's Nephew. After finishing that book, my parents and I went to the book store and bought The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe the next day. That was definitely one of my joys when growing up; reading a Narnia book, and then the excitement of anticipation and buying the next chronicle.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: I can't really say. I probably have read The Magician's Nephew and The Last Battle more than the others, since those were two of my favorites growing up. But I'd say on average 4 or 5 times each... at least.
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: I will tell you The Magician's Nephew right off the bat. But it's really hard to say, since every time I read a Narnia Chronicle I'm able to delve deeper into the story and characters and really appreciate Lewis's work. But I can say that The Silver Chair has grown on me greatly since I first read it. The scenes in Aslan's Country with Eustace and Jill hold some of my favorite moments in the entire series.
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I'm a musician; I love singing, particularly in choral groups, playing piano (though not particularly performing on this instrument). I also enjoy composing and arranging music, which is actually my primary goal vocationally. Also, the art of web design is growing on me; I enjoy playing with photoshop, which comes in handy with web design. I like to play sports, but I'm overall I'm not that athletic. However, I absolutely am a huge fan of ultimate frisbee and volleyball. If you haven't played ultimate, then I say GO DO IT. It's a lot of fun whether you have experience or not. And let's see... I'm a cat lover. Many friends aren't too keen about this attribute of mine, but hey, I can't help it
Welcome to NarniaWeb, Anquinos/Quinn! We're glad you have joined the forum.
I majored in music at university as well. Started off in English; ended up in Music. Loved it! Still do.
It's always interesting to read others' experiences with the beloved Chronicles. Thanks for sharing some of yours.
As for ultimate frisbee, one of our sons played that last summer in a competitive setting and loved it! Came home tuckered and pumped at the same time. Enjoy!
Anyway, make yourself at home here, and do feel free to ask if you have any questions.

Welcome to the forums, Anquinos! Glad that you decided to join us!
I know what you mean about the joy of reading a book and then the anticipation of getting to go to the bookstore to buy the next one in the series—those are some of my favorite memories from my childhood!
Sounds like the Musician's Cafe thread might be right up your alley! There are several talented musicians on NarniaWeb, so you're in good company here.
I certainly won't judge you for being a cat lover... I always have to get my daily cat video fix.
Anyway, have fun exploring the forum, Quinn! (Or Anqui or Quinos—too many cool nicknames to choose from. ) If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
1. Name (please avoid your real full name): Aisly
