Welcome to NarniaWeb, JillPoleFriend . I see Valiant_Nymph has already made you very welcome.
Did you grow up with Narnia, JillPoleFriend, or did you come to it through the more recent movies?
Thanks so much JoHobbit!
My mom read me the stories when I was fairly young, and then we watched the DVD of the Lion the WItch and the Wardrobe. So I guess both at the same time!!
I got a message telling me about this page as a way to introduce yourself, so I thought I'd give it a go.
I wish I knew about this website sooner, can't believe I only found it yesterday!
1. Name (please avoid your real full name): I'd like to go by my username here, Mingxy.
2. King or Queen of Narnia (guy or girl): Queen
3. Family (single/married/kids): I'm single
4. Occupation: Currently I work at a place where mainly tourists visit. Can be very chaotic and hectic at times but it keeps me busy I'd say.
5. How you learned about NarniaWeb: I was rewatching the BBC mini series, and looked up some images on Google, by getting sidetracked (per usual) I found this website!
6. How old were you when you first read the Chronicles: Pfooh, ehm. I have no idea to be honest.
7. How many times have you read the Chronicles: I wouldn't know either haha, I recently gotten myself the anniversary edition, one can't own /too/ many Narnia books, eh?
8. Favorite of the Chronicles: That's really difficult, if I really have to choose it's a close call between VotD and the Silver Chair.
9. Hobbies and/or interesting things about you: I really enjoy art and writing. I have a lot of hobbies, so I always say I cannot get bored that easily. I also like to read (obviously), play games, roleplay which is basically writing but with someone else, creating cosplays/armor, collecting lots of merchandise, figurines etc.
Safe to say I'm always short on money ahaha ^^

Welcome to NarniaWeb, Mingxy! Glad you stumbled across our community! I've been meaning to watch the BBC series myself; I've seen bits and pieces, but never a whole film.
You might enjoy the writing thread and the books thread here in the Spare Oom, since you like writing and reading. And since you like roleplaying, I bet you'd like Ditto Town! That's the subforum for chat, writing, and roleplay.
If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Enjoy exploring the forum!

I actually got into it because of a friend of mine; she worked there herself and they were still looking for people, and she urged me to apply. It's about 15 minutes away from my home as well so it's perfect, really. I'd say it all happened by accident, as I've never done an education for tourism or anything like that haha
I loved seeing the Silver Chair visualised, especially because it matched what I imagined while reading it so closely. I am honestly very much looking forward to the new Silver Chair movie that is supposedly in production
Welcome to NarniaWeb, Mingxy!
Thank you very much!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! I will definitely check those threads out - especially the one for roleplaying!
I'm still getting used to the whole forum format and navigating my way around, but I'm sure I'll manage. Especially with such a lovely community. ^^

Welcome to NarniaWeb, Matthew/GreatLionAslan (nice username)! You're sure in the right place, given that you're obsessed with Narnia.
And that's great you have found a place (alter aeon) that has such helpful support.
How do you like throwing things in bags at the grocery store? I chuckled at your humorous description. Seriously, I hope it's a positive environment and an encouraging atmosphere.

A hearty welcome to you, GreatLionAslan! It's great to have you here.
It's so neat that you play a blind flight simulator! My brother is into flight simulators, but I have never heard of Eurofly before. Very cool!

Hello everyone,
I'm Antoine, 25, from Belgium, and I've recently dived back into the Narnia fandom ; I used to really love it when I was a teenager, then sort of forgot about it, but a couple weeks ago I was at my parents' house and found my Narnia books and... well, let's say that I disappeared for 2 days which I spend reading all of the 7 books in a row.
So, I'd like to discuss the stories and their universe with you guys, as back then I didn't know anyone else that liked the Chronicles of Narnia and hadn't anyone to talk about it.
Apart from that (and other fantasy book series such as William Nicholson's Wind of Fire trilogy and Erik L'Homme's Le Livre des Etoiles trilogy... but I don't think the latter has been translated in English), I love travels, strategy wargames (both video and tabletop), and making models (both tabletop game miniatures and floating sailboats).
I hope we'll have lots of great things to talk about, see you soon on the forum!
Welcome to NarniaWeb, SSBN_Dawn_Treader! Your username is neat; I like trying to imagine what the Dawn Treader would look like if it were a nuclear-powered submarine. It's awesome to hear that you've rediscovered the Narnia books, and found this community, too! We're glad to have you here.
Looks like you've already discovered a lot of the discussion threads here on the forum, but if you like podcasts, you should also check out Talking Beasts! It's NarniaWeb's podcast and I bet you'd enjoy the book commentary episodes; Glumpuddle and Rilian are currently going through The Horse and His Boy.
Let us know if you have any questions about anything!
