I love Joy Williams. I remember back when she was in the Christian music industry. I had all her CDs at the time. Her solo CD, By Surprise, Genesis... The song "Desperate" is still one of my favorites. "Speaking a Dead Language" is an amazing song.

I love the Civil Wars too. Especially their song Barton Hollow.

By the way, the other guy in The Civil Wars, John Paul White, isn't her husband. Joy Williams is married to Nate Yetton. Here's the lovely couple.

I really like Sara Groves. My favorite of her albums is probably Tell Me What You Know. Of all her songs, I think my favorites are "In the Girl There's a Room," "Love is Still a Worthy Cause," "When the Saints," "Honesty," "The Long Defeat," "What do I Know," "Generations," "It's Going to be Alright," "Add to the Beauty," "Rewrite this Tragedy," "To the Moon," "You are the Sun," "Just Showed Up For My Own Life," "Going Home," and "Kingdom Comes." She did a concert at my church once. I absolutely love her voice.
I like the Civil Wars too, especially "Barton Hollow." They also did a great instrumental song called "The Violet Hour," and a beautiful version of "O Come, O Come, Emmanuel." And if you've listened to the soundtrack for The Hunger Games, they sing track 9, "Kingdom Come," and play along with Taylor Swift on "Safe and Sound." I think Joy and her husband had a baby not long ago--I remember hearing about some article that mentioned she was singing on a concert tour while she was pregnant.
Right now I've discovered a couple new songs: "How to Save a Life," and "You Found Me," by the Fray. Anyone else like those? I also love the soundtrack to Brave, particularly "Touch the Sky," "Into the Open Air," and "Learn Me Right." The last one has Birdy, who did the song "Just a Game," on The Hunger Games soundtrack. I really love her voice.

I listened to most of the songs, or at least I tried too. We kids were playing a game while we were listening to The Struggle, so I heard it, but I can't say for sure which songs I like best.

I'm still counting the days until it comes out and trying to talk some of my family member in to ordering from Amazon. So far it hasn't worked. I'm not giving up though.

thanks for all the updates narnian1, I'm excited to listen to them, O Come O Come Emmanuel is one of my favorite songs, I'm interested to see what they do with it.

I can't wait for Francesca Battistelli's Christmas CD. I hope my older sister doesn't wait too long after it comes out to buy. (She's collecting Francesca Battistelli's music.)

SnowAngel, I haven't seen any update on Third Day's CD. Every time I check their website, all I see is that they've been working hard on it. Hopefully it's soon, (along with Jeremy Camp's new CD).

Owl City's new album, The Midsummer Station, comes out in five days. This is the first time I sat down to calculate how soon it is and I can hardly believe it. It seems like just yesterday it was June and I was waiting in anticipation for the album to come out. This album is most definitely going to be different from his older stuff, but nevertheless, it still does have the flavor of Owl City in my opinion, albeit a different one. Is anyone else as excited to hear it as I am?

I think I finally talked my brother and Mom into ordering from Amazon.com! So I'm getting The Struggle, I'm so excited! My brother is going to preorder Christmas: God With Us, so awesome.

We ordered from CBD yesterday since they have free shipping this week. So I got The Struggle from there instead of Amazon. Still going to order from Amazon, we're just going to wait until next month.

At first I thought it was a song they previously released. (The title reminded me of it). But glad it's new stuff. I hope I love the CD. I loved most of their stuff so far. Right now I'm really loving "Wired" (the single), I hadn't heard it before. I'm very late on it.
