There have been some cancellations here, but not due to snow, but the cold (wind chills around -40F/C are mighty cold for those kids waiting for the school bus!). We were below 0F (-18C) from Sunday until today, even during the daytime.
But a dramatic shift is coming, with highs by Sunday possibly reaching 40F/4C - toasty!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Meanwhile we've got 29 degrees C, and I'm lurking indoors after getting home from driving in heat 🥵. This week we've also had 3 lots of rain, a thunderstorm that gave a huge downpour (so fast it puddled everywhere, briefly flooding our street) , very gusty winds, and some nice sun. Summer has 10 more days to go.
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."
Meanwhile in the entire eastern half of the USA and Canada, it's cold. I'm sure my northern friends are colder than I am, and my southern friends are a bit warmer, but.....its cold. We're still currently sitting at 2F and tonight's low is forecasted to be -8F.
However, next week is supposed to be a far more pleasant 50Fs to 60F most days and I can tell you all now my family is going to be outside! Cabin Fever is real!
@fantasia the problem down here near the coast is it's the bone chilling, cutting through every layer, New Yorkers and Canadians call it cold, DAMP cold.
Saturday and Sunday are going to be repeats. We're not supposed to top 45 until Sunday and today, Saturday, and Sunday are damp. I have to be at a horse show Friday - Sunday so I get to spend 12-15 hours freezing and another 3-5 hours trying to warm up and sleep enough to repeat the next day. This is the kind of cold we hate down here. It's miserable. Snow days like a couple of weeks ago aren't anywhere near as cold.
