Great topic! It's neat to learn the meaning of certain sigs+avis I've been puzzling over!
My NW name: Adeona. It is the girl's variant of Adeone, which is a Welsh name meaning Royal. I love it!!!!
My location: ALASKA! The Last Frontier. Though my corner is getting a tad overrun!
My Avatar: Originally my avatar matched my sig as a set made by Wunderkind_Lucy. But I just changed it to part of a sketch of Eowyn with her horse. It was drawn by the quite talented Anke Eissmann. I chose it because: 1. I like Eowyn (book version, mostly) 2. I ride a (very) little. In conclusion, I really like this as my NWeb face!
My Sig: The verse quoted at the top is an excerpt of Psalm 63:7, which is one of my favorites. I've always liked this piece of concept art. And Wunderkind_Lucy did such a beautiful job with it! It is so luminous and magical. And this was one of the first VDT sigs. I had to have a VDT sig. The text below is pretty self explanatory.
"In the end, there is something to which we say: 'This I must do.'"
- Gordon T. Smith
avi by Flambeau
My siggy and avatar are pretty much self-explanatory. I love Star Wars and I love books! I recently discovered some interesting pictures of Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamel and one of them pictured them pouring through a book (or magazine.) I immediately made it into an avatar and siggy set! Perfect!
My previous set was the four Pevensies in Narnia and had been so for over a year. I felt it was time for a change.
My old avatar:
If anyone is interested in knowing, my user name is based of an ice skating move. I don't ice skate anymore but I usually still use arabesque as a user name. I'm kind of attached to it.

Everything is the same except for the signature image. That's Kayla Williams, a new US gymnast (I'm GYMfan, remember? ). She has had a real success story...she went from the Junior Olympic level to WORLD CHAMPION in five months. That is just unheard of anywhere, let alone in gymnastics. I'm super thrilled for her!
I love this thread! Its so cool to hear the stories behind the interesting names here on NW.
My name, The Scribbler (my nickname is Scrib), comes from a trip to my cousins house. One of my younger cousins has made up his own "superworld" where everyone in our family is a superhero. We were sitting on the porch trying to come up with names for all of our characters, and since I love to write and I happened to be writing with an ink pen, I said "hey, I could be the Scribbler!" I used that name for other things for awhile, and then when I joined the forum, it seemed perfect!
My avie is from Anne of Green Gables. I love those movies, and I love all the colors and setting of the picture.
My sig is from the 2007 (I think) Sugar Creek Gang series. I love those movies because they have a lot of special memories tied to them. My friends and sisters used to stay up late in the winter time at sleep overs and watch them. Good mems, good mems.
My location is actually from a puzzle I put together one summer. It looked very much like Cair Paravel to me, and I wanted to be up in the top room of the Castle, hence CairTopRoom. Here is a picture of the puzzle
That pretty much sums it up!

Wow! This thread is pretty cool!
Username: Ever since I heard the LWW soundtrack (we got it before we even saw the movie!) I've always loved the song "Wunderkind." I've always been a fan of songs with foreign words in it, and this is a great example. I originally was going to be Wunderkind_Princess because that's what I used for my email address (thinking of the line "I'm a princess on the way to my throne" and the fact that I'm a princess, a Daughter of the King!) but somehow the old forum wouldn't let me. So I picked Lucy because she's my favorite character in the Chronicles. My user "nickname" has changed over time going from W_Lucy and W_L to Wunder and Wunder_Lu (flambeau and Djaq's nickname for me)!
Avie: BBC just produced another version of Jane Austen's Emma. Emma is my all-time favorite Austen character (probably because I'm alot like Emma!) and because I'm SO excited about the last episode, I chose to make an avie of Emma.
Signature: One of my favorite scenes in the new Emma is the ballroom scene when Emma and Mr. Knightley dance together. I'm such a sappy romantic!
Location: Donwell Abbey is Mr. Knightley's house. That's where the next episode will start. Well, I think.

Ditto!!!
Ok, I changed my avy:
It's a drawing I made of me!!!
And I also changed my siggy to match my avy:
It's that pic in my avy beside a picture of me in 4th grade. See the resemblance??
This set is from a couple of pictures of "Auntie Mel's house".
Window sill cat is a phrase Betsie used when describing her NaNoWriMo novel.
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
Ok, new set!
My avie and sig are of Jon Foreman from Switchfoot, who is one of my top favorite Christian music artists. The text is a play on one of his songs "Losers" which says "only the losers win, they've got nothing to prove. They'll leave the world with nothing to lose." The song basically states that we are not all there is and we have to be ok with losing it all for the glory of our savior. And we're much better off when we don't hold onto this world and have nothing to lose. Enough digression

The Scribbler...I've been meaning to ask you where you came up with your username, but then I saw you posted on here. ^_^
The reason I've been wanting to ask you is because I'm part of an online writing group that my friends and I started several years ago, and we call ourselves the Scribblers. The fact that you got it as a superhero name is hilarious, too...In my writing club, at one point we were writing a story as a community effort, and it was in the future where the world was being subtly taken over by politicians who wanted to turn everyone into mindless slaves, basically, and the Scribblers (us) were the resistance effort. Superhero-ish.
Great minds think alike. *g*

Okay, I just have to explain mine. Even though they are mostly Narnia.
My avatar is a picture of Lucy, because Lucy is my favorite character in the entire chronicles. I also put her as my avatar because Lucy is a lot like me. Nearly every time I've taken a Narnia personality quiz, it matches me up to Lucy. I feel that a picture of her is the best way to represent me.
(Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to upload my avatar, since it's from the gallery).
My signature is a picture of Aslan (of course). I included the passage from the Magician's Nephew from the creation because that is my favorite scene from my favorite book. I also included a quote from Queen Lucy in the Last Battle because one, I love Lucy (that came out a little odd...), two, the Last Battle is tied with MN as my favorite Narnia book, and three, I absolutely love that line about the stable!
My username, Fire Fairy, is actually from a fantasy of mine. And no, the fairies are not tiny creatures with wings. It's actually a lot more complicated than that, and I would love to tell you all about it, but I want to make it into a graphic novel, and I've told too many people the plot already. Needless to say, the character of the Fire Fairy was originally me, although I've changed that for the plot of the story. I do love fire, but I'm not a pyromaniac. I prefer to call myself a pyrophile (pyro=fire, phile=lover of), because I'm not out of control. I can sit and tend to or even stare at and play with (safely) a fire for hours...
The story behind my username kind of explains my location... I put "in the misty land of imagination" because I tend to fantasize and daydream a lot...enough said.

My location and avatar have not changed, but I changed my signature.
This is the title of my NaNovel. I participated for the first time this year and won so I made a signature of it in celebration.
As for my username, um, long story that. To make it short, my sister and I originally joined under the same username so we each had our unique name with which we would sign off our posts. Mine was Heroine of Chivalry because I was thinking about that a lot at that time, so when I got my own account I naturally used that name.
I left Narniaweb for inexplicable reasons in the beginning of June 2010 and probably will not be returning (much as I love this place). So if you're wondering why I disappeared, now you know! (sort of...)
my username is Liberty Hoffman, but it's not my real name. I am writing a book, and I am writing under the pen-name "Liberty Hoffman"!
my avatar is a picture of Mo and Meggie from the movie "Inkheart"! I really like that movie!
my siggy is a picture of my favorite band, Skillet! I love their music and I am a proud "Pan Head" (whicj is the official name for Skillet fans!)!
