I know I have allergies because I'm always sneezing every day, year 'round. I don't know exactly what I'm allergic to. Maybe dust? I do have a dog but our family has had pets (cats/dogs/hamsters) ever since I was born but this didn't develop until my teenage years.

I have asthma. :( We just recently found that out, and I do have an inhaler to use for it, but it doesn't seem to be helping. We're going to an asthma/allergy doctor soon to try to get something to help more ;)

I have asthma, I rarely have full blown attacks, rather it tends to flare up occasionally to the point where it's just uncomfortable. I have two inhalers, the one I take every night was swapped for a slightly stronger version last year and it's made quite a difference.

I have to take ibuprofen a lot which can aggravate asthma, but since I switched inhalers last year that's been less of a bother.

I also get hayfever June/July, it used to be horrendous and I couldn't sleep or do much of anything. Luckily I seem to be growing out of it as in the past couple of years it's eased off. It's still pretty annoying but over the counter medications are enough to keep it under control, whereas I used to have to take steroids #:-s

Allergies can develop later in life, I didn't actually develop asthma until I was 13/14 (we were pretty sure it was going to happen sometime because everyone in my family has it ;)) ). My mum is also very allergic to animal hair and this didn't happen until she was in her teens, before that she had no reaction at all. It's worth finding out if it is your dog, if you're just sneezing then it's not too severe and your doctor might be able to recommend some sort of antihistamine to take occasionally :)

There is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in.

Earel Alquawen, being allergic to everything sounds pretty awful. :( I had a friend who had a similar problem. I'm glad you are managing though.

It definitely isn't the best, but it helps that I'm in a climate now that reduces allergies. How did your friend fare with his/her allergies?

Had Asthma when I was young.

As for allegies - dust. Makes my nose runny and blocked and makes everyone think I have a cold. I also sneeze an awful lot too due to the dust. (-|

I don't really have allergies, but a kid in my church is deathly allergic to nuts. He's in my sunday school class, so I always have to be super careful about the snacks I bring in. I even have to tell his mom before hand what the snack is so she can tell him it's safe. Otherwise he doesn't eat the snack; he just stares at it. I feel really bad. I've gotten so careful I rarely eat peanut butter, especially in public. I'm always so paranoid.

I have seasonal allergies. It gets really bad every spring, and then they start up again in august. I take prescription meds just 'cause they get so bad and annoying.
I'm allergic to feathers, so when I go to hotels I can't use any pillows with feathers in them.
And I'm also allergic to cats. But it was worse when I was a kid. My aunt and uncle had like 3 cats, and when we came over I had a constast runny nose and swollen itchy eyes. I don't really like cats anyway so it's no big deal, I'm not like crushed that I can't have one for a pet. ;)

I do not have asthma and don't suffer from alligies. My brother is the only person who has ever had asthma but hasn't had an attack in 8 years. Half my family have hay fever. all the men in my family anyway.

I don't have asthma (thankfully!) and this spring was the first year I've had allergies. I'm really lucky, no asthma, not allergic to any food, medicine, etc. Just mild allergies in the spring. :p
