In no particular order:
Jesus Christ For obvious reasons
Jimmy Stewart My favorite actor of all time!
Joan of Arc Mostly because there's so much speculation about her life, I'd like to figure out for myself what she was really like.
Jane Austen I'm one of her biggest fans
Theodore Roosevelt My favorite President!
All my people are dead, so I guess there's no chance I could actually meet any of them in this life. Oh well...
If this Sig is by you please let me know, because I can't remember
"I am going to live forever, or die trying!"
1)The Beatles-They made history and are pretty much my musical heroes. I would have loved to have been there when one of the classic songs was coming to life. The whole creative process is fascinating to me, and I would love to see them perform in person. (maybe minus the thousands of screaming girls)
2)Audrey Hepburn-Apart from being a great actress, she seemed to be a likable person. I admire her for her modest beauty and the way she devoted the last years of her life to helping others. I agree with her statement that people blessed with opportunity and success should use it to do good.
3)J.K. Rowling- One of my favorite contemporary writers. Writing a novel, possibly a series, has always been something I've wanted to do, and it would be interesting to talk to an author with her kind of success. It would be neat to hear about the process and the way the plot was crafted. Undertaking that kind of novel seems quite overwhelming so it would be interesting to hear from someone who has been through it.
4)Skandar Keynes- Yes, most of the people on here have been listing him already, but it's true. Edmund's always been my favorite, and I've enjoyed Skandar's performance in the films. He also seems really fun and entertaining to be around.
5)Abigail Adams-You always hear about the founding fathers and what they did, but she had some interesting ideas as well. It would be interesting to compare women's current position in the world to the way it was in her time. I wonder what she would think about modern women.
"When will you wear wigs?" Nice, Hathaway Standalone.
Mm...Well, let me see... In no particular order:
1. Noah (from Genesis). What a life he had! I'd love to ask him all sorts of questions about all sorts of things. Though I suppose Enoch wouldn't be bad either...
2. Jill Flewett. A very minor British actress of the last century who served as the inspiration for a very major Narnian Queen...
3. Merlin. The first thing I'd ask him is 'Do you really exist?'. Then I'd ask him how he got to be such a fairytale. (if a historical Merlin doesn't exist, I'd replace him with someone else from the Arthur tales).
4. John, disciple of Christ. I'd ask him what it was really like to see his Lord crucified, about the Resurrection and the Ascenscion and Pentecost, as well as Jesus' life.
5. Oy! I can't think of a fifth! Ok, I guess...Joseph from Genesis. Or Mary Tudor. Or King David.
And if the people have to be alive, I'm out of luck.
Oh, oh, I'm going to change my number five (from page 1), from Dominic Monaghan to Lizzie Borden. Maybe if I met her I could figure out if she did it or not...
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." Marilyn Monroe
I want to add more, so I'll do so.
1. Michael Faraday. He was just so awesome, and overcame so much and became the Father of Electronics. He's definitely somone I'd want to meet.
2. Booker T. Washington- I just read his autobiography, and really enjoyed it. He seems like a great, sensible person and someone who I'd enjoy talking to.
3. David Livingstone- He had such a big impact on Africa, and I have alot of respect for him.
4. Fanny Crosby- Her hymns are beautiful, and her life story inspiring. I'd just love to meet her!
5. Joseph, from the Bible (Hopefully I'll see him in heaven, but I'd like to meet him now. ) I think Joseph is a wonderful role model for any youth. He's by far my favourite Old Testament character, because he made godly choices and was so responsible.
Jo, I just saw your post and noticed you listed Fanny Crosby and Joseph too. Hee! ^^
RL Sibling: CSLewisNarnia
Bella! I'm tempted to do the same, although I think I ended up putting ten or more in my first post on this thread so I'd better refrain.
Yes, Fanny Crosby sounds like a really interesting lady, plus the fact that she went through her long life blind and accomplished so much, giving glory to God, is inspiring. I have yet to read her autobiograhy, but it's on my huge To-Read list.
I'd like to meet Booker Washington too! I read his autobio last year and was fascinated by his life.
Another Biblical character (besides Joseph from Genesis) I'd like to meet, and one that I gather is very different in personality and character from Joseph, is disciple Peter. I can solidly relate to his impetuousness, passion, and transparent humanity. The difference in these two is along the lines of what we've been talking about in the Tolkien thread in regards to the more 'hero'-type people (for lack of a better word) we long to emulate (book Aragorn or Joseph) versus people who struggle more openly and often with their passions striving to override their principles (Boromir or Peter)—those whose stark humanness is very evident on a regular basis.
'Tis interesting to continue reading everyone's posts, for who we want to meet gives a lot of insight into who we are.

Only five? I won't be posting all the Narniawebbers I want to meet then.
Not in order:
1.) William Wilberforce. Ditto what Alyosha said.
2.) Ronald Reagan. As well as being a great president, he seemed to be a really great person to talk to and be friends with.
3.) Douglas Gresham. Does that need explaining?
4.) Marilyn Burns (actress, costume designer, a lot more of Pendragon). I would love to talk to her in person and ask her about the process of making Pendragon and what the affect has been on her.
5.) Pepper Darcy and her sister Raven. They are two wonderful girls who will be famous authors someday and I really want to meet in person.
I left Narniaweb for inexplicable reasons in the beginning of June 2010 and probably will not be returning (much as I love this place). So if you're wondering why I disappeared, now you know! (sort of...)

Live people:
1. Sarah Palin. What can I say? She's a woman in politics while she has kids. She likes to fish and hunt. She's an Alaskan. She just rocks!
2. Lauren, Alyssa, and Becca Barlow. The members of BarlowGirl who not only absolutely rock but they also play their own instruments, are great role models, and are just cool.
3. Shawn Johnson. I'd love for her to teach me some flips and tricks.
4. Jerry B. Jenkins and Tim LaHaye. The authors of the Left Behind series. Enough said.

Fictional Characters

2: Audrey Hepburn
An absolute amazing actress and a genius mind in fashion.
3: Jonny Dep
Spectacular actor

Very cool jazz and blues singer.
5: Vincent (artist)
Very talented artist and has such a amazing story and a sad one at that.
I remember the days of childhood
They told a story of Romeo and Juliet
I remember thinkin’ it was so romantic
But I never thought it would hurt so.
Oh, oh, I'm going to change my number five (from page 1), from Dominic Monaghan to Lizzie Borden. Maybe if I met her I could figure out if she did it or not...
That would be an interesting interview. I had to do a research paper on her once, and that whole story intrigued me for weeks.
My five:
-Shakespeare I don't know if we could communicate that well, but I would want to know what he thought of academia tearing his plays apart^^
-General Tadamichi Kuribayashi Leader of the Iwo Jima defense in WWII. I'd mostly like to ask about the road trip he did across America in the 1920s, what life was like and what he thought of American people.
-Nikolai Gogol Mostly just to tell him not to go crazy and die because there is one person right here who loves him. And then, over tea, we would argue vehemently about the existence of God, like two perfect Russians.*sigh*
-Leonardo da Vinci I would really like to meet Michelangelo, but I think he would be very "prickly" and not so pleasant/talkative at first meeting as da Vinci.
-Jean Valjean Fictional, but ohh...!!
i have sum close friends on this forum that i wold love to met
in aslans paws have a good day
