[Closed] The Ruins at Narni

I went to the High Museum of Art this past Friday and found this little hidden gem:

This painting is called Ruins at Narni. It is by Jasper Cropsey. I did not know it was at this museum- not the reason I visited it (went to see the Dali and Titian masterpieces). But it was certainly my favorite painting in the whole museum!

I was aware of the town of Narni and its being the inspiration for the name Narnia. But I was not aware of this painting. And it does look like a scene from the Prince Caspian movie. And like a painting I have at home that reminds me of Telmar too.

If I could get my hands on a replica of that painting, I would buy it and put it in my house. I had never even heard of the painter before- but I am already pining for this painting.

Oh wow! It does look like Narnia! Except the tree of the left side looks a little African... lol. But close enough! :)

BTW, you should be able to get a print of the painting by typing the name into Google. ;)
