This might have some crossover with the Songs that remind you of Narnia thread, but if you were putting together a Narnia or fantasy themed playlist what songs would you put on it?
Cool thread idea! Here's a few of mine:
1. Fly to Paradise by Eric Whitacre. Reminds me of Jill being blown to Narnia in SC!
2. Mussorgsky's Great Gates of Kiev. Has strong Dawn Treader vibes, somehow.
3. Basically anything by Adrian von Ziegler, lol
4. Holst's The Planets.( Michael Ward approves).
5. The Polar Express theme... because SNOW.
6. The Wolf and the Moon by Brunuhville... a great fit for Shasta and Bree setting out at night for Narnia and the North!
7. Morten Lauridsen's Lux Aeterna... has something of the sound of the Magician's Nephew creation scene.

Crystallised by Haken reminds me of LWW. The sound effects at the beginning sound magical, and then you're transported into the upbeat main riff. It feels like you're in a magic place. The song lyrics mention being surrounded by snow and childhood memories, too.
Composer Dan Forrest premiered his newest oratorio, entitled Creation, earlier this year. It tells the biblical creation story through music, and the third movement is called The Lion Sings, featuring an epic bass solo backed by tingling, silvery voices... pretty sure this is a direct reference to the creation scene in The Magician's Nephew.
