I wonder if the island will still be referred to as Ramadu's Island or something new (like Liliandil's Island or a specific name). Does anyone know?
They do seem to have a specific set of "official movie names" for the islands, and Ramandu's Island is still called "Ramandu's Island" there. Whether or not the name will be mentioned in the movie though, we can't say for sure (though we do now know that Ramandu himself is mentioned, even if he doesnt actuall appear) but as far as the overall "movie universe" is concerned, its still called Ramandu's Island.
The main "changes" as far as the island names go, seems to be that Coriakin's Island/ Dufflepud Island/ Island of the Voices/ Land of the Duffers, or however you refer to that island from the book has been given an "official" name of "Magician's Island" and that Deathwater/Goldwater and Dragon Island have both been given the combined name of simply "Goldwater".
so Lilliandil does say that she is Ramundu's daughter so I assume that it means that he will be in this movie?????

Well, I just had an interesting thought about Ramandu's presence in the movie. He could actually still be in the movie, but only as a star. If Lilliandil appears as a star and in human form, why not her father just as a star?
I think it the best chance of Ramandu's appearing in VDT! All his daughter has to do is point to the Narnian night sky and say, "There's my dad, twinkling brightly right over there."

^ GlimGlum, I hope you are right. Ramandu's appearance would only waste screentime between Caspian and Lilliandil. Again no offense to those of you who want him in the film. I just think he's too unnecessary.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
GlimGlum: I agree! that would be so cool!
Damsel: ooh, good point! I wouldn't mind if he was in the movie as a person, but if he's just a star, it would explain things without taking up too much time!

I don't really care if he is in the movie, The way they have Lilliandu as a star he isn't really needed.
I speculate that Ramandu is somehow tied to the Dark Island and/or Aslan's Country. They can't show him without giving something away...
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
I like GlimGlum's idea a lot. It makes sense and if he's not in the movie as a person, I hope they at least put him in as a star. What if they made his character completely out of CGI, maybe like the mermaids?
Movie Aristotle, that's an interesting thought. What if Ramandu's character is so spoiler-ridden, they can't show him to us? That would beat all.
I'm still hoping he makes it in, but I'll take either of those two options.

^^ but what would be so spoiler ridden about Ramundu? do you think he

^ Wow, I never thought of that! That would make a lot of sense wouldn't it?
After all, why would you have a "Ramandu's Island" without a Ramandu?
Movie Aristotle, AKA Risto
Who says it is going to be Ramandu's Island in the movie, Maybe it is just the island of Aslan's Table?

I do think that according to icarus' research, that Ramandu's Island will most likely be called "Ramandu's Island". But we won't know 100% till the movie comes out.

Movie Aristotle & Liberty Hoffman: I love that plot idea. It wouldn't surprise me if they play up Ramandu's role a little bit. I'd take that over him being cut completely. If Ramandu is in the movie at all, I think it has a very good possibility of having something to do with the seven swords. I think it would be kind of neat if he was tied that closely to the plot!

Maybe Ramandu can't come down, for some reason involving the Dark Island. Maybe the swords have to be brought together, and the Dark Island destroyed before he can set foot on his own island again? I don't know why... just a thought.
Plus, has it ever been confirmed that in the movie Coriakin is a star being punished? They could change that and have Ramandu be the one who is being punished instead. That way it would remove any "awkwardness" the filmmakers might think is from having two stars in one movie who aren't related to eachother in any way...

I thought he would not be in the movie, but this article about an update to the Narnia.com website hints that he will be in the film.
