Unless an extended cut is released, I probably won't buy it.
I think in a few years this movie will be in the $5 bin at Wal-Mart next to "Tinkerbell 2." Maybe I'll pick it up then.
I totally agree, it was a total catastrophe of a movie. The only bits I liked was the beginning and the end. The silly sword plot ruined the whole movie for me. Will still buy it on Blu-ray (not Blue-ray) day one though.
Btw, did they shoot anything that didn't end up in the movie? In regards to the possibility of an extended cut being released, I mean.
EDIT: Just had a look at the Razzie nominations and was surprised to see that VDT didn't make it into any of the categories, not even "Most Eye Gouging Mis-Use of 3-D" (should be 3D). VDT should've been a prime candidate for nomination here IMO.

Edited: Hope this is not the final official description of the DVD contents, because it still doesn't say if they have Skandar, Georgie, and Will audio commentary.....which (if omitted) would be completely dreadful if they're trying to make a profit on DVD sales.
The marketing people couldn't be that blockheaded could they?
Every preliminary description I've read so far of the DVD contents has Mark Johnson and Michael Apted commentary.....I would probably boycott buying this if the kids aren't on there as well. Major Fox marketing faux pas if that is really the case.
Or wait for the Walmart bargain bin with glumPuddle.
Saw another site with breakdown on contents of each disc on the Blu-Ray and DVD sets respectively---
http://filmonic.com/voyage-of-the-dawn- ... lease-date
Another thing I wonder about is if they would later release an extended version (if such exists) with actors commentary.

We can't really do more than speculate at this point Stateofgreen. I'm afraid I don't think there will be such a commentary though.

NOTE: I've decided not to include "Reepicheep's Guide to the Dawn Treader" as I believe this is the same feature as "King Caspian's Guide to the Dawn Treader: Legends and Lore of the Great Ship" under a different name. Wouldn't make any sense to have two different guides, but I might be wrong. I've also decided not to include "Adventures of Reepicheep Story Extension" at this point as I have a feeling this is the same thing as "The Secret Islands: The Untold Adventures of the Dawn Treader - An Animated Short" but under a different name.

I'm gonna be sooooooo sad if they don't have a commentary by the kids! I really like listening to the commentary!!!
Thanks to Shastafan for the Signature and thanks to lizzyhenley009 for the avatar.
@Griffle: where did you find the details on length? Or the deleted scenes? They're not on the websites you listed, unless you're adding things from the earlier NW, NF, and AC stories.
Here's our story on AC. http://www.aslanscountry.com/2011/02/da ... d-april-8/

Extras and their runtimes are compiled from a number of different sources such as Narniafans, Aslan's Country, Filmonic and the BBFC. Whether all of these extras will end up on the discs released is another question.

Hmm, there's not really anyting that's telling me that I should buy the DVD. Yes, there are things that I do want to see, but the things that I'm interested in, I feel, aren't really worth the cost. Perhaps, down the road, I will buy a copy, when the cost is lowered. Most likely I'll probably just borrow a copy from the library when it's released... I still have yet to actually see the film (wary of flying produce, glassware, and/or furniture).
I'm a bit curious though as to what exactly is being shown in the image. Are we looking at some sort of booklet and photo imagery contained in the Blu-Ray package or what exactly is included there? As for the packaging, the coloration works, but, like the poster, there seems to be no real thought behind the design or layout. And am I the only one who is getting real tired of Reepicheep symbolizing the Narnia logo?

Question for Griffle---so these three featurettes you posted above are only on the Blu-Ray right? Wonder why they do that...

2. Portal to Narnia: A Painting Comes to Life (BD Exclusive) (7 min 20 sec)

A Russian Georgie fan told us on Twitter...
that's strange that #VDT DVD is just in April in USA. In Russia it's already out (but without English audio, so I didn't bought it. It's official, but there're just Russian audio and subs, I'll wait for another version.
She couldn't give a link but said the Russian version came out January 27. So what's going on?
I've been trying to keep this story up to date.

I really think she's talking about a pirated copy that "looks" official.

Me too. However, there's this Brasilian cover art that has surfaced recently that has the word "RENTAL" printed on it to the upper left side. Looks really fake, but so does the official cover art.
