It does kind of seem to me that there ought to be a tiny Dawn Treader in the right corner, but maybe I'm just being overly focused on the title.

Oh, well, the Dawn Treader would be rather problematic, since Caspian and his rock are so high above the sea that DT placed there would be just a small speck, you barely would be able to tell the ship's size... and I just liked the opened space concept better

Oh, yes, I think I remember that sketch. Though it was a lot more detailed then any average sketch!

This came out beautifully Beginte! Good job on Caspian; he looks very real. I really like the soft, glowing colors. The sea is so detailed - no wonder you wanted to rip of your head! I wouldn't have had the patience...

Did you shave Caspian to save doing the beard? That would have taken so much longer! *groans at the thought*

This is AWESOME. I've always been in awe of your gift/talent with drawing. It's perfect! The sky and water are so pretty, and I agree with Adeona about the colors. They are gorgeous!

Caspian is an achievement in himself!! You did a Superb job with him. Proportions, armor, Rhindon at his side, his hair (love it ), and his face! Don't worry about having no beard, I'm with you. I like it, but he looks just as good with out it.

I seriously hope you did really rip your hair off!

Anyway, this is really pure awesomeness.

Great banner Beginte. You know, there's not a whole lot going on in the image, but your attention and contribution to the painstacking details is amazing (and well worth the time and effort). The lighting and coloration on Caspian (and the BG for that matter) is great and I don't even notice a difference with his missing facial hair. I believe it's because I don't have a close-up detail, but Caspian's lower lip looks a little odd or off to me (I think it's because I don't have a close-up visual though, so I don't think it really matters). I wish there was a bit more of "secondary" light (I know there's a technical name for it, but it's escaping me right now) showing on the rock formation. You have this amazing 3D/realistic feel to the BG and then all of a sudden the rock feels flat and not with the environment (almost like it's leaving an empty space to the corner of the piece or a void). It might be the light/dark factor between computer monitors though. Also, it might be nice to see the rock formation have more of a rounded feel on the edge. I know it's more of a craggy surface, but adding some contour lines may help it to feel more like it curves around at its point instead of being a flat surface.

I hope you followed me through all of that (I didn't mean to ramble on you). The layout of the text works well with the imagery and I really like your tagline of "The King Sets Sail..." (much more enjoyable than the "return to magic..." business). Nice work .

Wow, Beginte, this is very well done! I'm not overly fond of the FOX VDT banners either, and I like your color scheme a lot better. You have good taste! Nice job with Caspian! Very detailed, realistic work. The colors and lighting blend flawlessly into the background, and I really like how the cliff is silhouetted darkly against the bright sky. Beautiful work!

Adeona, I'm honestly honored you remember that sketch! Thanks so much! I'm happy you like Caspian, I wanted him to come out well! Heh, no, I shaved Caspian just because, I don't know why... I have a system of making a short beard such as his that doesn't take up much time, half an hour tops, so I didn't shave him for time cuts.

Lion's Emblem, thanks, glad you like it! Oh, it was my intention to leave the banner spacious, to let the recipient fully feel the infinity of dazzling unknown into which Caspian sails. So I'm glad there's not a lot going on Aaah, the lower lip, yeah... actually, that's because he has his mouth slightly parted open to enhance the expression, and below there's the dent between lower lip and chin that I might have shaded too much. As per the rock, it actually should be almost completely black and without light marks because of the perspective, but I colored it a tad too much. I should fix it... Oh, don't worry. I got used to the way in which you tell me you like my work by pointing out how flawed it is I'm very glad you like my design of the tagline, my smugness makes me like it better than the original one, too XD I thought it has more promise and excitement in it.

Silver the Wanderer, thank you! Oh, yes, I get an odd feeling about the Fox posters, they seem as if... not finished in editing. I'm happy you like Caspian! I did my best on him. Oh, thanks!
