Here are some Narnian things I've painted in watercolour... the first is a drawing I did based on Pauline Baynes' picture of Jill riding Glimfeather. I included the sketch version also:

And this is a watercolour of The Dawn Treader. I printed off the poster and then transfered it to my watercolour paper. I did *NOT* draw the ship. But I did the painting. I wanted it to look as much like the Dawn Treader as possible. (I also keep hoping it's going to start spewing water out so I can go to Narnia =)

EDIT: I *drew* the sketch of Jill... I did *NOT* trace it. So I'm not violating any copyrights or anything like that.

really good paintings! I particularly like the prow of the dawn treader... you should totally draw a version without the words and frame it and put it on your wall! ^_^ then you might find a way into Narnia...
Grief for the movies made me abandon narniaweb...but I'm so glad to be back!
Many thanks to the wonderful Lady Eowyn for making my sig/av.
Ok, I can see them now... (don't know why I couldn't before.) Good job. What sort of paints did you use?

Oooh, very lovely, Pepper! Watercolor is a very hard medium to work with. I love how you did the background on the Jill and Glimfeather one! Keep up the good work!

I'll break the trend here and say that I absolutely love your lettering on each of the pieces. Really neat and clean. May I ask why you chose that particular quote to put with your picture of Jill?
The paintings are nice as well. Watercolors have such a happy feel to them!

But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
Silver, thank you so much! Your kind words are greatly appreciated! =)
Meltintalle, your compliment is honouring since I know you are a fellow artist! Praise from you is praise indeed! (I drool over the work you've posted here and I hope to see more) SO thank you so much! It's so appreciated! =)
Yes, you may ask why I chose that text. I saw your comment days ago, but to be honest, I had to think. Maybe in a way I appreciate what Lewis wrote in those words because 1. we don't call to God unless He calls us. A very important fact in salvation 2. Jill has just learned a few things about how 'arrogant' she can be, and she's just recieved a humbling and she takes it in stride (though I didn't put *that* text in the picture) 3. somehow the conversation always strikes me as a very good moment for Jill. Somehow later in the stories, it seems to be the epitome of who Jill is and becomes-- and it is because of Aslan. That points us back to Christ ourselves. It's all about the work God does in us. And I appreciate that conversation that Jill has with Aslan... she's not Lucy (i.e. the innocent child's faith and delight) but she does learn her lessons and still has a very good faith in Aslan. Does it make sense?
Anyhow, thank you for your remarks, I was thrilled! =D
