I haven't made a wallpaper in a while, namely because I've not had any inspiration. But suddenly out of nowhere, I got an idea to do a wallpaper on Susan from Last Battle. I can't remember who says it, but either Lucy or Jill said something about Susan being consumed with makeup and nylons and saying that Narnia was a silly game. Then I found this great stock photo of a frame being in the sand, and voila! This is the result. I hope y'all like it. CC and C are greatly appreciated!

Wow! That's really great, Wunder! I love how there are different textures on the picture and the background. Great crispness on the picture, and I love Su's eyes. The text works well, not standing out too much - I love that phrase, I think it fits. ;) Wonderfully designed, nice and simple. Great choice of pics!

Superb wp Wunderkind_Lucy. Your choices of text and imagery are perfect for the concept of the piece and for a match up to each other. Text works well for the piece in context, layout, coloration, and fonts. Overall blending of imagery looks good. The main image of Susan that you chose really speaks volumes along with the text. Her facial expression just says so much here. I like the framing technique you've used as a design element, but I'm not sure on the layout of it (I'm not much of one for the "dead center" look). The BG image is also great. It's a nice connection with the text as being a place of joy and fun that she has turned away from. Awesome concept with excellent text and imagery to match. Nice work .

Thanks for the lovely comments!

@Lion's Emblem: I wanted to have the frame off-centered, but the image wasn't big enough to move over, and I really didn't feel like doing more blending. ;) But I definitely agree that dead-center look isn't as appealing as a slightly off-centered look.

Wunderkind_Lucy, I really love how you incorporated this idea into a wallpaper. The words are so fitting to the images, especially the close up of Susan. I really like that font!

I like how you blurred the background picture. It helps the words and the theme stand out more. The effects and coloring on the Susan picture in the frame are nice, but I find her face to be a bit red and blotchy in some places.

My only CC is that I feel like the picture frame is not in proportion to the beach and seems a bit big from the angle it stands placed in the sand. It's hard to take in the wallpaper as a whole without being distracted by the frame.

Other than that, great work! :)

It's a very interesting idea, and is quite abstract. But it reflects Susan's doubt in the land of Narnia, particularly the part from the Last Battle.

Well done.

That is fantastic!! The pictures go together perfectly with the text. and i love your frame in the sand. i also love your fonts, they seem to match what they are saying, like the first one looks more carefree and the second seems to look more sort of adult or sophisticated. not sure if it makes sense, but i really like it!! Beautiful job!

Thanks for all the lovely comments!

Quinlin: Actually, the horizon in the actual image (the one with the frame) lines up with where I put the beach. I could've tried to make it more proportional, but I didn't really want to do a lot of blending. As for the frame, I guess it could be distracting, but I was using it to draw attention toward the picture in the frame.
