I hope it's in front of Toy Story 2! it's a good audience for it! people of all ages like PIXAR films, and the same with Narnia, so it's perfect!

Iron Man 2? Nope. Prince of Persia? Nope. I'm still holding out for Toy Story 3. If I was on the marketing team, I'd recommend that one. I don't think it matters who's distributing the film it goes in front of. Sure, Disney trailers go in front of Disney movies, but so do MGM, Warner Brothers, and Fox trailers. Same with any other studio.

Someone (evidently) played a prank and said the trailer for VDT was in front of Shrek 4. Although I haven't heard anything to the contrary, I think it is safe to say we would have heard something official by now if it was true.

Still, it got me thinking. 3D movie trailers come in front of 3D movies, otherwise you wouldn't have the glasses to see it with! This makes me suspect Toy Story 3. In my own mind I'm eliminating all non-3D movies as possibilities.

Nope, Shrek 4 is already out and yes we would have already heard something if it were true. I still have all my money betting that it will come out in front of Toy Story 3. It just seems more likely with the movie.

Aw. I was just going to pop in and ask if the trailer had been on Shrek 4. Glad I didn't hear the rumors/prank.

However, don't forget that this is Fox, not Disney. Disney might have told us where the trailer would premier, but Fox might not.

To be honest I think it may come out a little sooner then Toy Story 3. The poster is already in theaters. It could be two more weeks now!

^Yes, but how much sooner? The movies that would seem to fit have all but past us until mid/late June. I wonder if we might see it online sooner than we could see it in theaters, that is of course not to say that most of us won't go see in on a big screen with 3D glasses, possibly more than once

I'll state obvious: as of now, we don't know. Fox/Walden probably have a date in mind by which they'd like to have the trailer done. But me thinks this depends on getting more of the CGI done.

Don't forget: the LWW teaser, which came out at the beginning of May 2005, had at least two CGI shots that weren't finished. The first showed the phoenix lighting the battle field on fire with no creatures in the foreground. Obviously, the film version of this scene was a bit different. The second was Aslan's roar at the end. If you can find a decent quality version of the LWW teaser, watch Aslan and then compare it to the film. In the trailer, he looks a bit cartoon-ish.

But I highly doubt they'll wait until the fall...after all, the Harry Potter trailer is supposed to be out this summer.

Most trailers of anything looks very cartoonish, but that's when they appear on actual theater screens. I know what you mean spartan5.

I still have high hopes that the trailer may appear sooner. Perhaps on the Alicie in Wonderland DVD (Probably not)

It is very unlikely. My friend went to the premiere and preview of it recently and there was no sign of the VDT trailer. I doubt we'll see it until June.
