The 3D ...was.. Awesome! Even though I had every intention of seeing VDT in 3D, I wanted my initial viewing to be in 2D. However, that was not the case as the midnight screening was in 3D only. That made me apprehensive, but I purchased the tickets anyways. And I really liked it a lot in 3D. Ideally 3D is supposed to be more of an immersive experience than an in-your-face experience, which it was! I liked a lot of the little things like the illusion of depth in the character's faces and all. It really looked like they were right there in front of you! The ending scene was wonderful with Aslan's face popping out in front of you; I wanted to reach out and grab his mane! And even *I* jumped out of my seat when Lucy screamed "GAEL!" and there was the sea serpent behind her in 3D! It's still thrilling in 2D but takes it to a whole new level in 3D! What a treat!

Yeah! 3D made the film a lot more emersive! I didn't realy notice the big scenes looked better in 3D (With the exception of some of the Eustace/Dragon scenes!) but the 3D just made you feel as if you were there! I saw it in 3D first and then 2D after and at first i didn't notice that much of a difference, but detail was better in 3D i think :D

@ Edmundsdefender: Yes, you were definitely NOT used to 3D. Personally, I found the 3D to be bad because it was about as two dimensional as 3D can get (it was even worse than Alice in Wonderland in my opinion). The 3D was not distracting in my opinion, but was an utterly useless function.

I would agree. It in no way added to the story or the film...... but they also did not plan for it to be a 3D film, so it wasn converted to 3D after it was done filming. I think the next Narnia film will be planned better for 3D so it will probably be a lot better and actually enhance the scenes and imagery, instead of looking like a pop out book. I saw the movie seven times in theater and only one scene stands our in my mind as being better becuase of 3D: I like the scenes when they are in a storm and the Dawn Treader comes over the crest of a large wave....it looks cool in 3D. but thats about it. I saw it in both 3D and 2D and I think I prefered 2D.

I didn't have a chance to see it in 2D since there wasn't a theatre near by which had that option for me. If I had the choice, I would have watched it in 2D.
I also wonder if the next film will be in 3D...I don't think people, at least in North America and the UK liked the 3D and wether it helped or hurt the film. However countries like the 3D. So I'm not sure what would be the better option for the next film.

I only saw it in 3-D, and it's been a while, but I'd have to give it an average. Nothing shouted out to me "this looks so cool in 3-D!" The scene just before they arrive at the lone islands, something seemed wrong with the railing. That may be there in 2-D too, but I don't know.

Seeking comic book artist, PM for details.

I saw it in 3D. There are imperfections with the 3D, especially in the helicopter shots of the Dawn Treader, but overall for a 2D conversion it was all right. I had a headache for the first 10 minutes or so, but I think that was just something a lot of people experience when watching 3D movies.

If anybody else is having the same problem with 3D headaches, I would recommend bringing 2D glasses to wear if the pain becomes a problem. http://www.2d-glasses.com/
