I would be worried if Caspian had a crush on Lucy.
But I think it would help if Lucy had a slight crush on Caspian. Not much, but just enough so that when she see's Susan in the book she feels bad because Caspian kissed her and not Lucy.
Its not unreasonable to have a crush on someone way older then you. Lots of young girls and teenage girls have crush's on guy's that are 10-20 years older then them. That doesnt mean they want to get married to them or anything. It just means they have a little attraction.
Winter Is Coming
I don't think it's too far-fetched to have Lucy admire Caspian, even maybe have a tiny crush on him...TINY being the correct word--not like she's swooning around day dreaming away, but being sort of in awe/shy around him. Obviously, Caspian would see her as a little sister, and he meets RD anyway, but it'd be another thing for Lucy to be "jealous" about with the magician's book scene.
"Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius, and it's better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring." Marilyn Monroe
I didnt mean jealous of Susan because she liked Caspian. But rather jealous of the fact that Caspian gave his attention to ONLY Susan...making Lucy feel like she isnt as beautiful as Susan.
Winter Is Coming
So no one would be bothered by a Caspian/Lucy crush. I don't even know what to say.
I never said it wouldn't bother me. I just don't think it would ruin the entire movie. I think it would be ridiculous. If Caspian crushed back that would seriously damage my enjoyment of the film. But they won't do that. They said they weren't gonna change it as much as they did PC and that would be a huge change. It would be worse than Caspian and Susan because
1: Lucy is way younger than Caspian
2: We watched Lucy grow up and that would just be weird
3: She's Susan's sister, you can't have Lucian after Suspian, that's gross
4: It's absolutely ridiculous and the book fans would hate it.
If Lucy has a little crush, it's not great but fine. If Caspian likes her back
I wouldn't mind it if Lucy grows a crush on Caspian. She's a growing girl with normal and confused feelings at the age she is now. It would be way over board and ridiculous if Caspian saw her in a romantic way. His character is like 7 or 8 years older then her. It would be gross. Also not to mention that the production needs to fix the relationship between Caspian and Lilliandil too. I just don't see them doing that to us fans. But yes Lucy having an innocent girly crush on Caspian is fine with me.

A crush is a crush whether it is a little one or not, whatever that means. Any crush would just be terrible, in my opinion. That might be the worst thing they could do behind messing up the Eustace undragoning scene.
There are no clouds in the sky. There is only the open sun and the Lord watches.
Crush. Romance. Fling. Shipping. Pick the word. Just need to emphasize there is zero evidence currently of anything like this occurring in The Voyage of the Dawn Treader (coming to a theater near you). Sure, there was the "leaked script" two years ago - some elements remain; evidence suggests most do not, including accounts by those having screened the super trailer. Which means the subject of any romantic interest other than that of RDLilliandil and Caspian is wandering off-topic.
And now, back to our topic.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
Yes, you're right, completely off topic. And I don't believe you have enough chocolate in your stash to calm us if we continue to talk about it.
Back on topic. I think I'm cool with evrything. Sounds interesting...
I am not sure how I feel about Lilliandil glowing though. If it's done in a way that isn't cheesy it's ok, I think. I have always pictured her as glowing a little but it's one thing to imagine someting and a completely different thing to see it. Also, I hope Caspian isn't one of those people who has to have his room completely dark when he goes to sleep. That would cause problems

There is NEVER enough chocolate And I will join you in the verbal flogging of the-powers-that-be if such a horrible dream were to come true, but until such time ...
It came to me as I was drifting off to nighty-night land, that we may view scenes in the trailer that have not been seen yet. I will need to remind Tirian, Kristi, and Paul Martin to let us know if that is the case.
I hope Caspian isn't one of those people who has to have his room completely dark ...
That deserves another

I didn't read the whole thread so please forgive me if this has been covered already but I think I would be annoyed if Gael played a huge role and tagged along to all the islands. The book already provides plenty of main characters (even sort of drops Eustace after he becomes good and boring) so to add a cutsey little girl who cries "I miss my mommy" the entire time would only take away more crucial character moments from the main cast. And I am not going to see VDT for some newly created whiny kid when Lewis already provided a superior example for our entertainment But seriously, too much of Gael--now matter how good of an actress the kid is--and I might make her walk the plank.

Fair enougy, Smooshy. Just nice to see you around. The initial reports on the character of Gael suggests to me she is there for supporting the story in some way. We don't know much beyond that. Reports go too that young Miss Morton did a terrific job.

No, no, no. You’ve got the right idea that a Lucy/Caspian romance wouldn’t work, but your reasoning is all wrong.
Lucy is older than Caspian. She’s got to be going on 30 by the time VDT rolls around. She’s not confused about anything. She’s gone through puberty before. She’s had suitors before. She’s turned down Princes before!
Anyway, I seriously doubt they’ll cram a Lucy romance into the picture when it appears that they are trying so hard to introduce RD earlier. If they included a Lucy romance, they wouldn’t only have to deal with a love triangle, they’d have to deal with a love square, because if you bring Lucy into the mix, then you have to bring in Susan too because of jealousy issues and such. If they leave Lucy out, then Susan stays out since she already kissed Caspian good-bye in the last film. Suspian is done, over, kaput. No reason to believe in Luspian. It doesn’t make sense from a screenwriter’s perspective. Just too complicated.
The evidence does seem to suggest that RD is the blue star, thus bringing her into the film earlier and giving Caspian something/someone to admire from afar... Aww...

Okay one. Queen Susan was the one who turned down her suitors in the past before.
Two: Calm down. These people are not talking about any romance between Caspian/Lucy but a innocent crush Lucy may end up having for Caspian. There's a difference. It doesn't mean that Caspian will like her back.
Three: Lucy is experiencing puberty again. It's just the way her body is reacting rather then how a childs would react.
Four: Caspian is a grown man now and Lucy is a young teenager. Why would she not think about a handsome prince during a voyage?
Five: As for the suspian thing: Yes it is kaput and over but a few seconds over the jealousy of her sister Susan's beauty is not going to kill us or the film. Caspian will meet and fall for RD.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
One:
But as for Lucy, she was always gay and golden-haired, and all the princes in those parts desired her to be their Queen...
Two: I am calm. I'm agreeing with them that the romance won't be a big deal.
Three: I know Lucy's body is going through puberty again, but her mind is wiser this time since her mind is much older.
Four: Because Caspian is at least 5 to 10 years younger than her.
Five: I never said a few seconds of jealousy would kill the film. I was listing reasons why I didn't think a Luspian romance was likely in the finished VDT film. Based on the evidence we've seen, a romance with RD is more likely, indeed, inevitable. And that's where I'm leaving the subject of Lucy and Caspian.

Guys, like Cep said, there's no indication of any Lucian in the trailer, so back on topic please.
