You can throw tomatoes at me too , because I don't care to hear anything about Susan other than what was depicted in the book. But I've got this feeling they won't even get far enough to make LB.

Maybe you are right that they won't get far enough to make Last Battle. For all sorts of reasons. It is the last in the series, and to film it properly people will have to understand and appreciate the following stories.
1. Magician's Nephew, Jadis and Polly Plummer's role in the Last Battle. By that time she won't be a girl, but an old woman probably in her 60's. We also need to make the connection between Digory and Professor Kirke.
2.Horse and His Boy, the Pevensies and their role in it as adults, plus all about the Calormenes. The Calormenes play a huge part in the demolition of Narnia in Last Battle.
3. And the deferred Silver Chair, which, like Last Battle, itself, has Eustace and Jill playing key parts.
It was then, whilst 'digesting' the Magician's Nephew news that I read an astute poster's comment on one of the news and magazine sites that if Fox Walden had chosen to film Silver Chair, using Will Poulter as Eustace, then they would still have to recast Eustace for Last Battle. If he is already getting too old now to play Eustace for Silver Chair, how would he be for Last Battle?
Furthermore, Fox Walden have to cast Jill in any case, should they film SC. But by the time LB comes around they would probably have to recast her as well as Eustace. Whoever plays Jill as a teenager in SC if it were to be done next, would also be getting too old by the time LB comes around as well. We need to keep in mind that even if Will Poulter is able to play a teenager in SC now, he won't be able to do so realistically by the time LB is filmed. Whereas if Eustace and Jill Pole are cast together for Silver Chair they can go on comfortably to finish the series as Last Battle's main supporting characters.
I never really thought about this beforehand. And it does make sense.

I thought about this too after all of the ruminations over MN. And I agree it makes sense, which could possibly appease me in a very small way for MN being next.

Yes it does make sense.

It makes sense but personally i'm not a fan of the idea! Why couldn't the girl cast as Jill act opposite Will Poulter (Already cast as Eustace) comfortably? He was great and 99% of people loved him. It doesn't make sense to re cast just so that they can start younger. If they were going to do this then why cast an older actor in the first place. Surely this could have been seen comming...he was young looking but he wasn't going to stay that way forever.
I'd rather see the same cast all the way through to Last Battle, I wont go into my opinions on wqhy because to be honnest I thik I've witten/ told everyone who I know already and I may go insane otherwise
But yes. Slightly off topic.
Narnia is childhood...
Seriously, just give the kid the orange. He needs his vitamin C!
I still say they should keep Will Poulter in SC and LB, I mean everyone fell in love with him and when a live-action audience favorite is recast it NEVER ends well. And in all honesty I think that any talk of Will Poulter being too old or too tall is much too simplistic and not very well thought out. After all who says we can't have a tall Eustace? And if we keep going at the rate we are going Will will be almost 19 in SC and 23 in LB... For comparison Ben Barnes was nearly 27 in PC, Will Moseley was nearly 21, and Anna was almost 20... That seems to be about consistent with what they've used already... Not only would a recast be a poor desicion in terms of the Box Office, but to put it bluntly it's also rather hypocritical.
