The white witch should not be on the cover at all....Caspian should have definitely been on there! Not good at all!
"We have nothing if not belief"
What is up with not showing the main characters on the front cover? I will buy it and listen to the audio commentary but in no way will I tell anyone else to even get it.
I will say that I partially like it and dislike it. I like it for the fact that the format of it is unique and it's own in a way and that's a better picture of Lucy. I dislike it for the fact that Jadis is on it. Go Away Jadis!!!!! I think Caspian should have been placed there instead. Still a pretty cover nonetheless.
Long Live King Caspian & Queen Liliandil Forever!
Jill+Tirian! Let there be Jilrian!
The fact is, Jadis reminds all of LWW's success, Caspian reminds everyone of, well, let's not talk about it..

Amazon has a new cover art image for the 2-disc DVD edition. It sure has gotten worse and more tacky. This can't be the final art...I refuse to believe it!
Mary Jane: You know, you're taller than you look.
Peter: I hunch.
Mary Jane: Don't.
Not only is it tacky, Eustace is gone from the cover.
White Witch not there, that is good.
But where's Caspian? I think the Blu-Ray cover actually looks better than this one.
Double DVD pack sounds sort of like it's a snack food.
I hope that isn't the final either.

Um, wait, what? New animated short? Huh? Anyone have any clue what on earth they're talking about?
Griffle posted about the contents in the Merchandising thread (but it doesn't have much info on the animated short):

Is that purple button that says, "The perfect Easter Basket gift" a removable sticker or actually intended as part of the cardboard? I just wouldn't want that forever on my dvd case.

Well, you know, you can make your own DVD cover if you wish. Us people who work for a living find ourselves doing it all the time. Even a bit of paper with some printing and clipart might do if you dislike the VDT covers so much. That is to say, you lucky people who will actually have the opportunity to buy them. (where's that jealousy emoticon? Not to mention the devil one?)
If that isn't good enough, just use Adobe Photoshop, a clever photocopying machine, photobucket, imageshack, flickr or something else to build your own personalised covers. Some of you have such interesting signatures that I can't believe that the posters on this thread can't come up with something really stunning. And if you stay with the despised original cover art, there is this consolation: DVD covers have a tendency to get lost eventually anyway.
Oh my goodness... That is awful! They're still using the image of the DT with the unfinished sail?! This is really a new low even for Fox. I am so disgusted I don't even have words to describe my disappointment in their advertising/packaging department. It's as if they don't even care! They certainly aren't doing anywhere near their best. This looks very rushed - like they threw it together in a couple of hours.
But of course, some blame needs to be laid on the higher-up Fox people (I'm not sure of the proper job titles!), who never should have let work like that get out, and I sure hope that Walden is complaining about the representation of their movie! If not, then they come in for a share of the blame too.
Annnnd I said I didn't have words for my dislike and then went ahead and told you all about it. Ahem. Excuse me.
If it weren't for this blatant disregard for common-sense advertising points, I would have hope for SC...

The cover art captures the look of the movie. It looks very Disney pricessy.
Disney drops Narnia and it becomes more Disney looking than before.
Of all the cover art I have seen for the DVD my favorite is the one of just the Dawn Treader, like it is a near replica of the book cover that is mostly blue.
Just how the cover art looks makes me not even want to buy the movie! It isn't something I would spend money on! I want to buy the movie because there are parts I do enjoy but is it worth it for those few moments? Lately the moments that I despise are weighing more heavily on my view of the film than before.
After seeing it on almost all the Narnia posters/billboards/DVDs for THREE STINKIN' YEARS, I am really starting to get sick of that picture of Reepicheep. They didn't even bother to place him on anything this time. he's just floating in midair, like they decided to stick him on there at the last minute because they remembered that every poster representing VDT much have that same exact picture of Reepicheep on it in some way, shape or form.
Is that purple button that says, "The perfect Easter Basket gift" a removable sticker or actually intended as part of the cardboard? I just wouldn't want that forever on my dvd case.
If that is indeed the final design, the purple button would be intended as part of the cardboard. Considering that they stuck that image of Reepicheep over it.
Also, this "The Secret Islands: The Untold Adventures of the Dawn Treader - An Animated Short" - what the heck?
Why do I have the uneasy feeling that this animated short will horrify us more than anything in the movie?
