[Closed] In What Order Should The New Narnia Films Or Series Should Be In?

We talk a lot about in what order should Narnia films or series be in. Well, given that there hasn't been any news about Netflix, another company may have to pick it up. Even though a lot of Narnia fans are dead set on reading the books in publication order, the same rule doesn't necessarily have to apply for a movie or series.

Here are some different options-

Here are some different options for order of the Narnia film or series-

1. Publication order is certainly an option. It is the most logical way to go. There would be no way around it. This is the order that CS Lewis published the books in, and a lot of Narnia fans usually read in that order. It was natural for BBC and Walden to start with LWW, given that it's the best known in the series. So it would be perfectly natural to start with The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe.

2. Chronological order is also an option. Previous adaptations has started with The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe, yet BBC stopped after The Silver Chair and Walden stopped after The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. So if The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe was first, some fans might be a bit turned off. Not only that, but it has been done so many times (counting the animated from 1979). Plus, the 2005 Walden is the most successful in that franchise, so it would be hard to reboot. For some, going in chronological order, starting with The Magician's Nephew would be a fresh start.

3. A random order is an option as well. An idea I have for an order of films or series is- The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe and The Horse And His Boy as a pair, Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair as a trilogy ("The Caspian Trilogy"), The Magician's Nephew as a prequel, and The Last Battle as the final saga. Here's an advantage to this: even though The Lion, The Witch, And The Wardrobe would be first, some might be turned off it if was followed by Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. The plug could even get pulled again after either The Voyage of the Dawn Treader or The Silver Chair. However, this order would not only give us a familiar story, but it would be followed by a lesser known. Then the prequel would be followed by The Caspian Trilogy: Prince Caspian, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader, and The Silver Chair. Then The Last Battle would still be the final saga.

Any thoughts about these different options? Do you have an idea for a random order of your own? In what order do you think a new Narnia film or series should be in?
