All of us have no doubt been sticking our noses in all the news updates and pictures for VotDT (I have too!)!
now that the filming is done, when will we see the teaser trailer? this may be a bit early to ask this.....
I am hoping that the teaser trailer will come out in April 2010 at the earliest.....
or do ya'll think it will come out sooner? like Februrary or March?

Since VDT was filmed digitally, I heard that it's already been in post-production the whole time. That makes me wonder if perhaps a trailer could come out earlier.
Someone said on the General Movie Questions thread that their best guess is the trailers will be released alongside the summer blockbusters.
Indeed, Lady Galadriel. It is a safe guess we will see a VDT trailer tagged to one of the May 2010 releases.
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
The PC trailer was released about 6 mos. prior to it's release, so I think may be closer to then (I agree Lady Galadriel (just saw your post)). But we could also have one by Christmas considering it will be a year til release on 12/10...We'll see...I'm staying hopeful!

Yes...some movies release their trailers/teasers a year before their actual release date. They already have enough footage and VDT is already becoming popular in terms of what movies people are looking forward to so maybe we can certainly hope for at least a teaser in a few months.
yay! ya'll have raised my hopes considerably! I hope we will se a trailer early!

I think if we do get a trailer early it will be a teaser of a teaser, like Percy Jackson's first trailer. Even if they've been working on it for a while they can't have enough finished footage for a meaty preview.
That said, any amount of footage would be fantastic.

I hope very soon. I'm really impatient about the movie and one trailer will be a great support to my patience. I suppose that we could see it March .
On NarniaWeb it says that LWW's teaser trailer came out in May.
Since VDT is coming out in December like LWW did, I think VDT might follow LWW and the teaser be released in May next year.
http://www.narniaweb.com/info/trailers/ ... -trailers/
The movies coming out in May next year are:
May 7: Iron Man 2, Letters to Juliet
May 14: Robin Hood
May 21: Shrek Forever After
May 28: Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
May seventh was the actual date when LWW's trailer premiered, and I could easily see it playing in front of Iron Man 2 . I think that, Shrek or Prince of Persia would be the other two movies most likely for the trailer to be in front of.
But who knows with the digital camera's it could be sooner! Maybe the Superbowl, in February?
And as much as I want the trailer to come out before Christmas, I have a feeling we'll have to wait until next year to see it.

I hope its very soon...its one step closer to the real thing! I'm thinking six months before...along with the summer movies!

Lucy P.: I agree! even if all we saw was a ten second trailer in which we hardly saw anything, any amount would be awesome!
even though trailers just make me more impatient for the whole movie, it helps me calm down a bit when I get extremly impatient! yay for trailers! lol!

May for the teaser and September/October for the actual trailer. I wouldn't expect anything sooner than that except a poster and maybe a few publicity stills. The real push will happen about 2 weeks to a month before the release date.
First trailer huh? While I'd LOVE to see them release it with Percy Jackson and the Olympiads: The Lightning Thief that comes out Feb 12, I know there's pretty much no way that will happen. (Unless it's like a teaser, teaser where you don't see much of anything). As 7chronicles said, I think May is the most likely month. Out of the movies he listed above, I'd put my money on Iron Man 2 and Prince of Persia as the two most likely movies it'd debut in front of.
I hope only, that the trailer will be long enough to see the most important scenes. Unfortunately teasers come always first and they are short. The sooner the better .
Basileus Peter Pevensie, I also hope they include important scenes!
I realized something though when LWW came out. Me and my sister played the LWW video game and watched all the cutscenes in between levels, it wasn't until after we saw LWW that we realized how much we had seen from the film already and it kind of took away from the surprise.
With Caspian I gave myself a limit as to how much footage I would let myself see from the film. So basically what I'm saying is I hope the trailer isn't to short and has good scenes in it, but I hope they don't show the best parts from the film or make it to long, I don‘t want to ruin the surpirse of watching VDT for the first time.
