I'm afraid I didn't like it at all so "worst Narnia film ever" from me. However, I appreciate the fact that some people loved it and I'm really happy for those people.

I just feel I should point that out as I don't want to spoil other people's enjoyment of the film by writing pages and pages about how bad I thought it was :p I know from experience that an attitude like that can be very frustrating :(

Do you love "The Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes?
If so you might like to see my sister's dramatization of this poem through her photography!

I agree with you Eowyn of Lantern_Waste! The only reason why I watched it 2 times was because it's a Narnia movie! Before I watched it, I read the plot so the changes weren't a surprise for me. Although I was quite disappointed :(

I must admit in retrospect I thought the adaptation was awful, but as others have pointed out, the did get Eustace and Reep right, the end (sans caspian) with the lillies and standing waves was wonderful. I had a tear, but I'm not sure if it was becuase the end was so great or becuase I was so dissappointed in general.

It was good, but not the best movie I have ever seen. I was a tad disappointed, but nothing to bad. I think they should have worked on the Caspian/Lilliandil thing a little bit more. Some of the choices that the characters made where some stuff that the characters in the book would never make. I loved the ending! It was sweet and sincere and heart warming. The sea serpent was very really real looking and maybe too much for a younger children. Over all I really enjoyed it!! :)

I almost didn't go see Dawn Treader because I HATED Prince Caspian. And I wonder how many people didn't go see is because of that. PC was absolutely horrible in my opinion. They slaughtered the characters of most of the main characters - and the script was very hard to follow. So, I debated whether to go see Dawn Treader or not. In all honesty, if I had not had a friend that wanted to go, I probably would have skipped it completely. I'm really glad that I went. Granted, I was still a little disappointed that they didn't follow the book more closely and I do think that just did some things badly. But they did a much better job of keeping the lessons that are found in the story than PC did (and say what you will, but the books are FULL of lessons - Lewis was excellent at writing parables!). So, if (and hopefully when) they make another Narnia flick - I look forward to seeing it. Dawn Treader actually restored my hope for this franchise.

Further up and further in!!

It was a terrible adaptation-it was and aptedation- and a mediocre movie. The plot didn't make sense if you thought about it too long and the acting was ok. I was disappointed with Georgie and Skandar in some parts, but Will Poulter was fantastic. However, I don't think they got the themes of the book right, and the themes are the heart of the story. There was the theme of temptation, which wasn't really a major theme in the book. The themes that remind me of my Christian walk in the book were absent in the film. The parts that were important that they got right were done all wrong.

I gave it a 7/10. I liked it better than I liked PC, though I didn't feel as great as I did when I was first saw LWW as a young child.

Mixed adaptation from my view. There were things they got right and did well(Eustace, Reepicheep, End of the World to name some things), and the not so great(Undragoning, Lone Islands), though I have mixed thoughts on the Green Mist.

Acting throughout was pretty good, but a bit disappointing on Keynes' and Henley's parts. They did so well in LWW, but seemed to have declined through the series. Barnes improved, and of course Poulter did excellent.

Script had strong points and weak points. There was some cheesy dialogue, but there was some great dialogue as well.

Even through its faults and disappointments, it is still a good film to watch. There are plot holes, but there are movies with quite a few plot holes that have been well received that I know of. I mean, it can't be the worst film we've ever seen. Would you have watched Yogi Bear or VDT?

These are some of my thoughts on the film.

The green mist was poorly done (which was weird because the dark island was pretty sweet).

VDT was great. I love how they kept the parallels to the Bible in it. It made it a lot better but the green mist was badly done as PeterCharn said. it is way over saturated. But other then those things it was good
