Maybe its a bird? It could be something that was present during filming- I wonder if the filmakers even know what it is

If it's a bird, I think it's a pretty big bird.
They probably know. If it's an animal, it's loose (if it wasn't a planned part of the movie), and they would know if an animal was loose on set. I'm sure it's probably there on purpose.
Maybe it's a badger? Or just some Narnian creature or animal that doesn't mean much. Eustace did look right at it, after all, and he didn't seem too impressed. He would have freaked out if it was anything weird like a dragon's head, I'm sure.

^^ yeah! if it was a dragon, Eustace would have freaked out when he looked at it because he's never seen a dragon before!
maybe the filmakers don't know about it!

^Not if in the previous scene he had watched it die, or at least start to die.

^^ that is also true.....
but if it's dead, why is the shadow sort of above him?

Dragons do tend to be large. They'd tower over you even if they were dead.

I really don't think it's anything that is supposed to be there. If it was, Fox would have probably removed it so as to prevent us from being spoiled, correct? I think it's just a mistake.

I know that when they convert 2-D films into 3-D that they have to draw in some of the background that only the second eye can see, maybe that's a place where they haven't finished yet?

That's a theory Dinode! But the clip wasn't in 3-D... Hmm.. that could still be it though! It sounds like a reasonable, and even likely possibility.

But if it's not supposed to be there, why is Eustace actually looking at it?
I, for one, hope it is something interesting! It would be a shame for us all to get worked up over it like we have (or at least I have) and then have nothing come of it.

Was Eustace actually looking at it? I thought he was just looking left and right for any danger or any of the crew he would want to avoid. He would have had to look behind him and up over his shoulder to see it, and I think he just looked to his direct left...

From the clip, it's hard to tell whether he actually sees it or not.
It could also be a completely normal animal too -- like a bird or something.
I hope it's something cool like a dragon though.
