So I've often wondered how they're going to portray the marriage of Caspian and Ramandu's Daughter in the movie as it's a slight afterthought at the end of the book. At least, I ASSUME they'll show SOME kind of wedding in the movie.
I personally would love to see an expansion of this scene myself. The only trick of course is where to put it in the movie? After Eustace, Edmund, and Lucy are sent back to Earth, a wedding might ruin the mood of the movie, but if they put it in before, it might seem awkward timing sailing ALL the way back to Ramandu's Island, have a wedding, and then flash forward again to Eustace, Ed, and Lu.
I actually thought maybe a scene during the credits might work, but it'd probably be no longer than the brief scene they stuck in BBC.
What do you all think?
Hard to say. In the book, there really isn't much time for them to fall in love (There's just one scene we get to read, and a few sentences here and there that hint.) Perhaps Ramda could come to the end of the world with them and the wedding could take place in the same scene where the kids leave; as in, "Now that you have seen Caspian married it is time for you to return to your world."
I think a small wedding scene would be appropriate; but definitely some time after they first meet.
Yes, where to put this scene though? I think our Watchful Admin's idea during the credits is good. But I would show it as a montage of moments from the scene rather than having the scene play out directly from beginning to end.
Looking forward to others' ideas as that is the best I can do for now.

There is definitely no "a" in definite.
The Mind earns by doing; the Heart earns by trying.
I would love to see a wedding take place! but I suppose it depends on how they do things between Caspian and RD and also if it comes off well after having done the whole Caspian/Susan thing.....

I think they should show it in the credits, not only does it seem to me as the most appropriate place, but it will echo the style in LWW (something that I think many fans including myself would like)

"Be cunning, and full of tricks, and your people will never be destroyed." -Richard Adams, Watership Down
^^ that is an awesome idea! oh that would be great!

I said yes. It would be cute and by far the most romantic scene ever to be shown in Narnia. It'll blow the lusty Suspian out of the water.
I say that they go for it.

^^ I am hoping that RD/Caspian will blow Suspian away for good!

Yeeahh!!
Long Live RD/Caspian 4-ever!!
Like my avatar, they look awesome.
Caspian and RD are meant to be.
That rhymed
It was that way in the books and it is the way it should be.
Sorry to say this Suspians but dream on because that is where Suspian will only exist now.

Agreed Libby! Hurrah for Caspian and Ramandu's daughter! Hurrah!

I would like it if they expanded the scene a bit, but there isn't enough time for their relationship to develop. I'm going to go with the majority and say a short scene in the credits would work nicely. Actually, I would love to see a tag scene; I really liked the effect in LWW.
Maybe they can have an extended scene after the credits of the wedding instead of during the credits. Kind of like the way it was done in Pirates of the Caribbean 3.

I voted "no" and I am ashamed I would love to see the wedding but more than that, I would love to see the proposal. Rather than a wedding where everyone would be watching I would like to see a smaller more intimate moment between Caspian/ RD that will blow the Suspian thing out of the water and get the idea across that it's Caspian/ RD for life I imagine it something like this: (please bear with me for a moment)
The scene at the end of the world would be a more climactic point so this would be the closing point of the film.
Caspian & crew have spent the winter on Ramandu's Island, as planned. It is now Spring, a few weeks before they must set sail once again and return to Narnia. RD stands alone on the shore, gazing out at the ocean. She appears to be in deep thought and slightly troubled. She turns at the sound of Caspian aproaching her and tries not to show her distress.
Caspian: There you are ,Dear, I've looked everywhere for you.
RD(not making eye contact): Well, here I am.
(Caspian has appeared to be somewhat nervous up to this piont and is now forcing himself to look RD in the eye)
Caspian: I needed to ask you some-what's wrong, Love?
RD: Nothing. It's nothing. Don't worry.
Caspian: (embraces RD and kisses her on the forehead) I know you well enough to know when something is wrong, my darling.
RD (buries her face in his chest and tries not to cry): You're leaving soon. You've grown so dear to my heart. I fear when you leave you will take it with you. I understand that you have your duty to Narnia and you must go, but I will miss you more than words can say. You've been more than a friend to me. You have been the dearest love I have ever known.
Caspian: I feel the same. I do not want to lose you. That's why I was going to ask you... Would you mind terribly to be my queen and come back to Narnia with me?
RD: Really Caspian?! I would love nothing more in this world! Yes!!! Yes I will be yours!!!!
(CUE HAPPINESS AND BLISS!!! GOOD BYE SUSPIAN!!! )
The End
or something along those lines.
Wow Aslanisonthemove, you're good at sappy endings!
That sounds good to me, turn the emotions down about fifty decibles and I shouldn't be angry to see a (tiny) scene like that at the very end of the movie. Instead of closing with England it would close with Narnia. Not a bad idea I think...

Where were you when the script was being written for PC? Better yet VDT.
But I still would love to see a wedding and Caspian kissing RD to seal the deal that he loves her, not Susan.
