Yum! Yes, I really have tried it (and in Edinburgh, even) and was surprised and relieved to find it's all minced up so fine that you can't tell what the individual ingredients are, so it's really just a soft, mild-flavoured sausage. (Well, my Scottish ancestors would probably have rolled in their graves if they knew I added a generous amount of ketchup and HP Sauce, but never mind. )
