The Great Northern was a particularly nasty Medieval weather phenomenon, the reason why the Dark Ages were considered to be so dark, and its history of disasters was manifold, until, unaccountably, it died down eventually, leaving people wondering exactly why it ever happened.

Farmer Giles of Ham was famous for his piggery, but as a side business he also cured hams, & thus wrote the definitive book on all the methods to cure ham with honey, or Virginia style, triple & double smoked hams for Christmas, including preparing turkey hams as an extra.

The hunt for the Pinhoe Egg was an intriguing & dangerous adventure when it turned out to be a heavily disguised but much bejewelled Fabergé egg, once owned by the last Tsarina, Alexandra, worth millions of dollars & missing since the Russian Revolution, of 1917.
