(at the Royal Melbourne Show when I was little, "showbags" were bags of goodies you could buy with all kinds of themes, usually full of chocolates and sweets, superhero toys and other such surprises)

(Back in the 1950's and 1960's, at the Royal Easter Show, some show bags contained samples of the sorts of the things some firms manufactured, eg little tins of house paint)
