A pebble in your shoe or a broken shoelace?
We have hands that fashion and heads that know,
But our hearts we lost - how long ago! -- G. K. Chesterton
A broken shoelace, I think it could be easier to locate and remove than a pebble which could move around in my shoe.
Sunflowers or Roses?
It is a good rule after reading a new book, never to allow yourself another new one till you have read an old one in between.

Roses.
Chocolate cake or vanilla cake?
Chocolate. Yum.

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Some days you battle yourself and other monsters. Some days you just make soup.

Mashed potato or fries/chips?
There, shining in the sunrise, larger than they had seen him before, shaking his mane (for it had apparently grown again) stood Aslan himself.
"...when a willing victim who had committed no treachery was killed in a traitor's stead, the Table would crack and Death itself would start working backwards."

Make it, if at all possible! It's a long-standing family tradition — my dad used to be an art teacher and he always made the most fantastic costumes for my sister and me whenever we had dress-up days at school. Once, when we had to come as our favourite storybook character, I went as Aslan, with an elaborate cardboard lion mask that covered the whole of my head (with a yellow crepe paper mane). Everyone kept asking who was under there!! Happy days. I'm not quite up to Dad's standard when it comes to craftwork, but I do enjoy trying.
Make a cake for a special occasion, or buy one?

(Prince Caspian)
Buy one, as our oven is kaput.
