Rings, I think. Crowns might be too flashy for a retired librarian.

Coffee in a café, s'il vous plaît. For a social situation, such as meeting friends, some cafés do have cheap meals, eg sandwiches or little snacks, to accompany the coffees, which are more likely to be as I prefer them.
