Sam slumped dejectedly on the ground. "I don't know."
Jenine slid down beside him. "We're lost."

"Yeah.....I don't know how we ended up here! Or why" he sighed, wiping beads of sweat from his brow.

That's when Jenine saw the glimmer of a stream about a mile away.

"Look, Sam! Water!"

Sam lifted his head and followed Jenine's pointing finger to a river on the horizen.
"Let's go to it, Sam!" Jenine begged. "I'm terribly thirsty."

Sam agreed and they set out to reach the stream. But no matter how far they walked, they never seemed to get to it.

Jenine was distressed "Oh Sam! We have to get there, I'm so thirsty." she staggered a little hardly able to stand.

Sam sqiunted at the stream that seemed to never be there. It's a mirage! He thought.
together, they sat down side by side, exausted and thirsty.
just then.....

Dark clouds clustered over head. Thunder rumbled and lighting cracked. Then it began to rain. Jenine looked up, "Sam! It's raining....in a desert it's raining!"

But the rain was not water. it was raining tiny Leprechauns. Each leprechaun was holding a little watering can and that was the source of the water.
Jenine didn't care where it came from. She simply tilted her head back to catch the falling water. And screamed.

Sam had also been enjoying the rain. He couldn't really catch much of it to drink, but it wetted his face and cooled him down. Then he heard Jenine scream and jumped away, "Jenine!? Why did you....scream!?!?" he asked, perplexed

Jenine fell to the ground, still screaming. Sam knelt by her side, trying to calm her. "What? WHAT?" Sam was worried.

She screamed and screamed, the rain was driving her mad "Oh Sam!!" she cackled her eyes wide "Sam!! Sam!!" her laugh was wild and earsplitting. She then reached out her hands toward his throat and.....

Began to strangle him. Sam, bewildered and afraid, struggled against her.
Almost as suddenly as she had begun her strange actions, Jenine stopped. She let her hands drop to her sides and began to weep.

Sam was confused and panicked. He hugged her trying to comfort her.
"Jenine, what is it? What's Wrong?!" He asked. Jenine couldn't stop crying.

"The leprechauns!!" she gasped.
"What about the leprechauns?" he asked.
"They're...they're..."
"What?" Sam asked, starting to panic.
"They're here to get revenge on me!" With that, she began hyperventilating.

Sam was frantic now. "But there are no leprechauns here!"

Just as he spoke, a rumble shook the dry ground and it began to rain leprechauns. they fell from the sky by the hundreds. Jenine screamed.

Sam, covered his face and head with his arms. "Jenine stop screaming please!! It won't help!!!" he said. He didn't understand what was going on and he was just as frightened as her, but tried to keep a level head. Just then....
