OOOHHH! I love these games!!!

"Samuel, wait up!" His freind Jenine came crashing through the bushes. "Jenine, don't sneak up on me like that." "Sorry, but where in the world are you going?" "I'm looking for..."

"I'm looking for a mushroom that is said to give you special powers if you eat it. Will you help me?" He asked. "Well".....

I don't know..." Oh please, Jenine." He was practically begging now. "It may be dangerous, but I know that together we could conquer any evil." "Well, I could use an adventure." Her great golden dragon eyes sparkled with interest.

Jenine thought for a moment. Then she said, "Samuel, I will help you! Even if we never find this mushroom you speak of, I would love to go on this journey with you!" so they packed swiflty and left their homeland.

They had traveled for what seemed like ages, and they decided to take a rest. "Did you bring anything to eat?" asked Jenine. Samuel pulled out a fresh mutton, lettuce, and tomato sandwich. "We can split this," Samuel replied. When suddenly they were surprised by something so strange they could hardly believe their eyes!

There was a puff of smoke and a loud BING. Suddenly Before them stood a huge griffin. "I am the Great Aaron the Magician. You are far from your home. Tell me what do you seek and I may be able to help you."

Samuel replied, "We seek a mushroom that gives special powers to whomever consumes it. But we have no idea where it is, so help would be most welcome!"
The griffin arched it's neck and spoke,"I will guide you on your quest. Though I do not know where this mushroom is, I know these lands well and I might be of some help, however small it may be."
Jenine smiled. she liked this regal bird.
But Samuel was wary and didn't trust the bird to do as it said.

It turned out his feelings were justified, for that night, as the dragons lay sleeping, the griffin called out loudly and several hundred more griffins came! Great menancing creatures they were, with large rippling muscles in their tawny bodies. The arrival of these magnificent beasts woke the young dragons.

"They have come to find the Magic Mushroom, we must not let them find it," cried the griffin. The young dragons looked in horror they were completely surrounded. "You said you'd help us!", cried Jenine in complete shock.

"People lie" said the griffin and he and the other griffins surrounded them, with evil looks. They proceeded to...

.....fly in Samuel and Jeniene's faces! Razor sharp claws on their feet scraped and scratched at their clothes and hair. Samuel grabbed Jeniens hand and began trying to drag her away from the griffins, but the creatures surounded them, blocking off their escape.

And then they woke up. It was all a dream.

But (no rest for the weary) they were still in danger! While they were sleeping the sky had been pouring rain. They had unfortunatly camped in a small gully, and now a flash flood was racing down the gully towards them! Jeniene saw it first. With a mighty pump of her wings, she lept into the air, screaming "Samuel, Aaron, look out!"

Aaron looked to his left, and jumped up. He had no wings like Samuel and Jenine, for he was a human originating from Archenland. He was not a magician, as Jenine had dreamed, and was no more than a blacksmith's son. He jumped onto Jenine, and noticed that Samuel hadn't moved; something was very wrong.
