I have a picture of me with my cousin's bird on my finger. It was really cool.

Ok, this isn't my pet, but it was on the front page of Yahoo and it was just about the cutest thing I've ever seen....

Thanks, Watchful Admin, for sharing the really cute singing/whining puppy. :o3

Well I had an adventure today. Fiona nabbed a package of Oreos off of my husband's desk. She had eaten all but four of them when I found her. :-o Panic ensued... I called my vet... He told me how to induce vomiting which I did. She's fine now, but I'm out a whole package of Oreos! :(( ;))

Fiona reminds me of Luna, the Labrador/German Shepherd I used to watch. Luna would eat anything and all of it too. I learned the hard way. Don’t remember what it was that taught me the lesson; just that it was my food. :((

Glad Fiona is doing fine. I never had to call or take Luna to the vet. Although she also liked to shred phone books too. :-o I had to pick up the pieces. But apart from that she was a really sweet and lovable dog.

We have actually been getting rain the last couple of days ( :D/ ) and I've learned something about my dogs. My puppy loves the mud and the puddles and gets herself completely filthy running around in our dirt yard (hopefully soon will be a gravel yard). My 3 year old, 70 pound Harrier (big Beagle) is little miss prissy. She won't go off the cement. She doesn't even like the patio if the rain has come onto it! They are so funny to watch!

Funny story of the day. Fiona snagged my cell phone off my desk and ran off with it. So, I called it. Boy did she drop it fast. :))

;)) That is funny, fantasia_kitty. :) Was it on vibrate, or did the ringtone scare her?

Everyone has such adorable pets! ^^ I love reading all your stories and descriptions. I have two birds myself, so I thought I'd introduce them -

This is Buddy! He's a male cockatiel, regular gray, and I got him for Christmas when he was a baby 8 years ago. He's the sweetest thing, but only to me haha - he doesn't really like other people and I'm the only one he's friendly to. He likes to sing a lot though and he knows how to say "hi Buddy, how are you, good bird, whatcha doing" ect. He also likes sticking his head down into dark holes, like behind the couch...I have no idea why! XD This summer though he escaped from our house and flew away. Fortunately, someone was able to find him in their yard and let us know they had him so we got him back thankfully! But the people who found him also had another male cockatiel that they wanted to find a home for and that brings us to...

Lefty! :D My brother calls him "Chub" because he's so big and fluffy and cuddly. We think he's about 4 years old and he loves everyone. He tries to whistle "Jingle Bells" but most of the time he gets the notes wrong. He sounds cute anyway! =) He also says "pretty bird" and it's so funny to hear his little voice waking Buddy up in the morning. They get along well and Lefty adores Buddy and I'm glad that everything works out between the two of them.

Here's a picture of them together - (Buddy's on the left and Lefty's on the right)

Beautiful 'tiels sleepwalking! It's amazing that you got Buddy back!
My cockatiel used to say "pretty bird" but hasn't in a long time. He's old now; on Valentine's Day he will be 17!!! And we've had him since he was a month old. We finished hand feeding him until he was weaned. He's ceppault's bird, but now he's pretty much grumpy with everyone. (His name is Iago and he is a pied cockatiel).
And I think the dark holes thing has to do with nesting. They are great egg sitters (my friend owns a bird store and uses cockatiels when other birds won't sit on their eggs). They nest in dark places (breeders use nest boxes). I know Iago loves to get into any dark place he can! We put a cereal box in his cage and he'll sing to it and go in and out of it! It's hilarious!

Aha, so that's it! I thought it might have something to do with that...once I gave Buddy a little box to play in and he acted quite protective of it. x) Iago sounds like a lot of fun! That's so neat that you hand fed him yourself. I think Buddy was hand fed at the store we got him from, but I don't know about Lefty. And wow, 17 years! That's great!

Sleepwalking your birds are just adorable!!!!!!!!! They look so cute :)
I was wondering do any of your birds nibble away at the wallpaper and furniture when you let them out (if you let them out) cause that is a seriouse problem that our Robby has. I just wanted to know if that is what birds do best or is it just my rascle. He really has a passion for wallpaper, I am glad that the wallpaper in our room is white and from far away you can't tell that it had be chewed at (the wall beneath the wallpaper is white too) I told him sternly a couple of times that it was wrong and he behaves himself when I'm in the room. When i caught him recently biting at the wallpaper again he just looked at me with his innocent eyes as if to say "what, you have a problem?" Robby is charming, sweet and friendly with everyone and because of that he has been spoiled shamefully by any and all visitors as well as the rest of the family, so he can be very stubborn with me :)

That's a great picture!

We have a box just like that on the dining room table; alas, it only contains fruit and not a cute cat. ;)

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
