Adorable pets, everyone! :)

We have two cats, have had four birds, seven baby bunnies, and started out with two fish. We're like owning the food chain or something. ;)) We also had ladybugs before, but they only lived a day after we so richly furnished their I-Can't-Believe-It's-Not-Butter mansion. ;) They escaped, I think.

Anyways, we had a series of birds (parakeets, all of them). Bubbles and Buttercup were the first and sweetest of all. They usually didn't make much noise, weren't really tame, but they were good birds. Buttercup sadly passed away two or so months after we owned him. :( We then got Bubbly, a little parakeet who would grow to be the color of Buttercup, to accompany Bubbles who was in depression at losing his dear friend. So Bubbles and Bubbly got along famously and were adorable, until Bubbles died shortly after. (Buttercup and he were really old fellows; about 20 years. We recieved them from a friend.)
So, because Bubbly looked really lonely, we got another bird. That bird was....evil. Pure evil. Actually, he was adorable the first few days we had him because he was the only one who would perch on our finger inside the cage. But then C.S. took the cage out so he could have fresh air, he heard some birds, and then changed. He bit us, and threw all our food down, upset the water...you name it. ;)) We got really tired of him, so we gave him and Bubbly away. (I forgot what we named him.) Out of all of them, I think I get a sad tug at my heart when I remember Buttercup, Bubbles, and Bubbly but not so much the last. Oh well. From the people we gave them to, I hear Bubbly died, but she lived a pretty long life. I think the other's still alive. :P

Then we had seven bunnies, but only for about a week. Their mother hadn't come back for them, and lawn mowers were on their case along with...weed hackers. :( So we took them in and had fun with them. Four died (on the same day Bubbles did. *sobs*), but three were alive so we set them free and I'm sure they've fared well. :)

The fish...the fish...You all know what happens to fish. :P

Finally, our cats! :D They're the most adorable, sweetest, darling things in the whole world.
We have two- Sugar, and Cinnamon. They came from a litter of about 5. Sugar looks about the second youngest. She had a really cute twin, and was the loudest. Also, she looks alot like her pretty mamma. :D Sugar's also C.S.' cat.
She is really affectionate, and if you have a sheet of paper out in front of you, she'll jump on it and start to rub your face with hers and topple over. It makes one melt. x] She isn't too big on hugs except from my mom and C.S., but she really likes to be stroked and have someone rub their head against hers. Sugar also has really sharp claws and loves to scratch things... She's an extroverted cat and will run out to greet every guest we have. ;) She's also really sleek and thin and gets into every box, container, or little spot that she can fit in. Sugar is a restless cat, always jumping about and running. She loves water and drinks a whole lot of it. And, she really likes jumping on the fridge and begging people for wheat products. ;) (She's picky when it comes to bread...it has to be wheat or it's unacceptable.) Some of her favourite toys are string, catnip, and fishing toys. She also has the most creative ways of asking for things, whether looking up at you with her large, dark eyes and mewing real loud, or following you everywhere. (or chewing on the Christmas tree, much to our fright. ;)) ) Sugar has a very high pitched mew and also makes this adorable gurgle sound. She gets into mischief a lot with her curiousity, but that's what makes her as darling and adorbale as she is. So yes, that's our Sugar. I love her and her queer habits to death and wouldn't change one thing about her.

Cinnamon is my darling. She is either the runt or the oldest, because she was sort of the one with no playmate and always trailed after her mom. And she's also quite pudgy. :D But, when we chose her, she and I bonded immediatly. Her and Sugar compliment each other very well. She loves to be babied, cuddled, picked up, and to get tummy rubs, and she really likes it when someone lets her sit on their lap and pets her. She has a rich, throaty purr and pretty green eyes. Cinny's a rather mellow cat but when catnip comes she does get somewhat wild. ;)) This kitty bathes herself at least 5 times a day! Which I suppose makes her as soft and silky as she is. Her favourite toys are balls, fishing toys, and about anything soft with sheepskin or catnip. ;)) She loves to drink milk (but isn't given it often), and she will beg and beg for treats. She has this loud, attention-grabbing meow that's really sweet. Cinnamon...well there's not alot I could say or I would go on and on, but I will say she's a unique, precious cat whom I treasure ever so much and I wonder how I ever got on without her.

Some pictures of them:

Sugar

Same little sweet one as above. ^.^

Cinnamon (Left) and Sugar (Right)! Aren't they the cutest things? ^-^

Cinnamon (L) and Sugar (R). Heh, this wasn't even posed! Cinnamon reached over to give Sugar a hug and CS and I were quietly scrambling about the room in search of the camera to take a picture without waking them up.

Cinnamon (L) and Sugar (R)

...Shakespearean little Cinnamon. She did this all by herself. ;))

The baby kittens at our friends' house. (The friends who gave them to us.) Let's see...the one the hand is on is Judah, Sugar's twin. The one in the way back with lighter patches is Sugar, the one who's head is by Sugar's head is Cinnamon, and the orange one is either Rain[bow], or Rain's twin, Leah. :)

A more recent picture of Cinnamon. Sorry it's a little dark. =]

So those are our little joys! :) Thank God for pets. ;)

Aslanisthebest, You're cats are adorable and I'm glad you released the surviving rabbits back where they belong. I used to have a gerbil named Cinnamon once :), actually I had a total of nine, they accidentally bred, but one wasn't related to the others.
Okay I think I've got this figured out now so here comes some pictures
P.S. I hope these are small enough I honestly have no idea how many pixels they are. I cropped the top of the last one if you want I think I can make them smaller, just pm me or tell me on the thread.

Does anyone have any idea about what to do for a sick Beta fish? :- We think he may have just been traumatized from staying at a friend's house and then coming home, but we're not sure. It's been several days and he's just sat there, moving around only a little and only occasionally. Is there anything we can do or do we just need to wait it out and see what happens?

Check with a local vet and see if they have anyone who knows anything about fish, you may have to ask around a bit not everyone is willing to see exotics (trust me I know). You should also check the temp and chemical levels of the tank/bowl. I've read that sudded Temperature changes can make them go into shock. Also if you have a filter make sure its working, athough I don't think that would be the problem cause betas are pretty hardy and can survive in bowls without one (granted I've never had a beta), but its worth a shot. You could be right though it could be the location changes.

I have had so many Bettas, it's hard to tell with them. But I know if they get too cold, they don't do very well. You can google betta care sites to get more information. Here's one: http://care.betta-fish.com.ar/. Good luck!

wolf: great pictures of your rabbit! :D

Cute cats, Aslanisthebest!

I'm cheating a bit, as these aren't my pets, but they belong to my brother and his family, whom we visited over Christmas. The dog is a pembroke Welsh corgi; she and this kitten get along famously and enjoy playing and sleeping together.

Betcha can't see me!

Sharing the couch

Now where'd that ping pong ball go?

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

Oh, stargazer, those pics are so cute! You aren't really cheating any more than I did, because I posted pics of my sister's dog.
Speaking of Gabe, I keep trying to upload pics of him, but tinypic won't let me. So I'm still working on pics of him on a hike.

gazer: love the pics, especially the kitty in the tree. Thus why we no longer have a large Christmas tree at our house. Not with 3 cats and 2 dogs. The last time we had a big tree, we got tired of picking up all the ornaments off the floor; the cats eating and then throwing up the needles; and picking the tree up after the cat flew into it and knocked it into the window or the cabinet. :p
We now have a tree that is like 1/2 a small tree that hangs on the wall. We get the atmosphere of the tree without all the difficulty! ;))

Wooo boy I'm behind.

@Wolf, I love your rabbit. The tag game sounds a LOT like one that I play with Fiona my dog. And the pictures are too cute. :D

@AitB, Once upon a time I had toy kitties that I named Cinnamon and Sugar. But your kitties are way more adorable than my toy ones. I love how they're cuddling together. :D😀

@Gazer, hahaha, love the kitty in the Christmas tree. Yeah, Ram, my hubby and I opted out of the indoor tree this year too. We put ours outside on the front porch which we can still see through the front window. Not quite as good, but it sure beats having a house fire from the animals knocking the tree over. :P

My girl Fiona has it a major milestone!! 6 months old today. :D And 64lbs. :-o

wolfloversk and ramagut, thanks for the advice. The beta appeared to have perked up a little bit after my sister (his owner) got back, but I think he's just been traumatized by movement and water temp changes. :( Hopefully he'll make it, though... :p Thanks again for the advice! :)

Aww, gazer, what cute animals! :D

Congrats, FK! ;)) And she's still as cute as ever. :D

Oh my goodness, FK, Fiona has grown sooo much!! :)

Teyla is 6 1/2 months and maybe 9 pounds. She starting to get rather solid in the torso. She's still only about 7-8 inches tall. And she's getting more social at the dog park, although, she still spends most of her time in between my feet! ;))

here are some more pictures of Robby

Here Robin decided to read Pilgrim's Progress :D

This is a picture of our cat named Kitty. We got her from our grandparents when she was still a kitten. She lived with us for about ten years, gave us a litter of five kittens five years in a row :D the other five years she would have from three to two kittens. Last year she ran off with some tom cat :((
I'll try to find some pictures with her kittens.

@fantasia_Kitty aww, I love newfoundlands they seem like a great breed of dogs. I love the first picture of Fiona puppys are just so adorable when they look up at you like that.

I don't know how much people know about Newfoundlands, but they're a water dog. (Bred in Newfoundland to help fisherman.)

I've heard them described as the water version of the saint Bernard. They are also used in search and rescue sometimes, they have been known to insist on saving swimmers who do not need to be saved. A well trained Newfoundland can detect a body over 200 feet deep in water. Sorry, I just like to flaunt my knowledge in areas I'm smart in (which are few and far between) :p

And here's Fiona trying to make friends with Murky who is wishing she'd go away.

;)) I have the same problem with my younger dog with out cat.

we arrived at the same time as the world's biggest German Shepherd. They were instant best buddies

Really the worlds biggest German Shepherd? or just a big German Shepherd?

@ramamgut your dog look/sound really cute.

She probably would have been okay with her size, but I didn't want to take any chances.

oh wow good thing you got that taken care of, dogs have died from only 3 raisins.

I cannot possibly believe an animal would chew clean through an cord of any sort. It is a conspiracy.

Not true Cep, Buster chewed though my laptop computer cord cost like 75 dollars to replace :P

Hunter: is like 13-14 not much to tell he's a french brittany mix he really getting old you can tell but he's probably kept burglers out of our house of several ocasions.

Misty: is our only cat (she's about ten), when I was like 4-5 early in the morning our neighbor called my mom because there was this strey cat out side... and she was afraid her kid would let it in ;)) so my mom went out side and the cat walked up to her. My mom took her in and I was able to convince my dad that if no one claimed her after 2 weeks we'd keep her :D so I named her Misty cause... I was like 4 idk lol, But of late well she's mad at me cause I got a beagle, Misty is a stereo typical cat. Fat, lazy, and like to eat ;))

Buster: (as scene in my ava): is a pure breed beagle 1 and a half year old he's so cute sometimes but yet he can be annoying... He'll eat everything... literally... pingpong balls, plastic, paper, and sometime he'll find something out side that you don't know what it is :-s yep scary... He has the cutest of eyes... One time in the middle of the night he started barking randomly I thought nothing of it until in the morning we found out someone had broke into our garage and smashed one of our car windows... maybe I should have listened to him ;)) :p
