Here's a picture I came around to today. It is a few days after I got my dog Caspian and he did not know how to stay off the couch and I couldn't force him, I get him a doggie bed and he still wouldn't stay off the couch. My mom suggested I made him a bed. Lucky when I made him one I had my camera and caught his excited expression.

Not sure where else to post this...

Woke up yesterday morning with her in my backyard. This is a female peacock (also known as a peahen). I live in the desert. I expect rattlesnakes, scorpions, spiders, lizards, gila monsters, quail, doves, pigeons, coyotes, and a stray cat or two in my backyard. NOT a peacock!!!
She was driving my dogs nuts, they wanted outside to chase her. So I went outside and took pictures and then had to chase her out of my backyard so my dogs could go out. She's been in my neighborhood for a while evidently (after talking to some of my neighbors) but no one seems to know where she came from! How do you lose a peacock??
This is one of the strangest things that has happened to me!

Awe she's precious Ramagut! I would keep her but that is pretty funny. I suspect she ran away from the zoo.

wow, Ramagut, that's so cool!!! We've had dogs and cats sneaking onto our backyard, but never a peacock! She's gorgeous!

You could post notices around where you live "Who lost a female peacock?" or you could contact the zoo, if there is one nearby...

Aww ramagut!! She's so cute! I agree with DamselJillPole, I'd keep her. Of course, she may be someone's pet too... Our former neighbors had peacocks. Very noisy. Very pretty.

As far as keeping her, I just got rid of my precious parrots, so I wouldn't keep her (besides first thing ceppault said was "we're not keeping her"!!)

Our neighbors put an ad in the paper a week ago with no response. They also called all the animal shelters, pet stores, feed stores, etc. with no luck of them knowing anyone who owns peacocks. (The one person nearby that owns them said he wasn't missing any).

As far as zoos, the closest one to us is about 200 miles, so I don't think that's possible.

And, since I ran her out of the yard to let my dogs out, I haven't seen her. Which is probably a good thing...I would get too attached. I just hope she's safe somewhere.
