(I've read about the Rabbit Proof Fence, wagga, and think it'd be fun to see sometime. Does it really keep the rabbits from crossing?)
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

This is all that is left of the Royal palace in Scotland's ancient capital. It fell into disuse and ruin after 1650 AD, when Charles II stayed there. The next door abbey, though it is partly in ruins, is still usable. Robert the Bruce, the hero of Bannockburn, who defeated the English, was interred here, before the altar.

It is totally unlikely. Erosion, the difficulties of maintaining the sheer length of the fence, and the determined survival of small rabbits ensure that even three fences couldn't keep them out entirely. It didn't keep me out either.

Fionnphort, Isle of Mull, Scotland.
Fionnphort is where the ferries depart to Iona and Staffa. Announcements on the ferry are in Scottish Gaelic and English and I'm not sure whether Fionnphort was a port or a fort. It is the sort of small, idylllically rural place where an inquisitive local sheep followed us into the local Post Office, where cows sunbake on the bit of beach, and where rush hour is a flock of sheep on the move.

wagga, I figured the Fence really wouldn't work in keeping rabbits out. They don't work here either.

Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
