Vistula River, Poland

This river is called Wisla in Polish. Just as the castle we call Wawel Castle would be pronounced Vavel in Polish.

I'm glad you like it, because it was the best one of the Tatras we had. Somehow the light is very different there to what it is in Australia. :( Just which is that beautiful city you portrayed for Ukraine?

Yarra River, Victoria

During the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006, a line of fishy-looking structures was moored along the river, one for each participating country.

Antonine Wall, Scotland

This is what you see at Falkirk, of the Antonine Wall, an earthen rampart with a ditch stretching from the Firth of Clyde in the West, right through my husband's native town of Falkirk, to its end at the Firth of Forth. This still noticeable landmark was built by the armies of the Roman Emperor, Antoninus Pius, in the Second Century AD to keep the Picts of Caledonia from raiding Roman territory. Obviously they didn't succeed. :D
