"Wow..." commented Lady C, "This place is... Bright."
"Bright and white," added Pippin.
"Bright and white and clean!"
"Of course," said Pippin, "just like it should be."
Lady C nodded. An infirmary was definitely a place that needed to be kept clean.
Spotting Luvuh beside Thorny's bed, Lady C strode up to her, rubbed her Lil' Sis's shoulder and grinned, "Hi!" She looked down at Thorny and added, "How are you two?"
Pippin hovered around behind her, blinking at the brightness of the room.

There is no such thing as a Painless Lesson
As soon as Lucy had changed out of her battle attire and into normal (not to mention dry) clothes, she made her way over to the castle. Things had been much too quiet for her taste and she was looking for something- anything to keep her occupied.
Even if it meant hanging out in the castle lobby.
"Hey guys..." she mumbled, plopping onto a pink, fresh-smelling couch and digging The Silver Chair out of her snake-skin backpack. She crossed one black-booted foot over the other, leaned back, and opened to a random page to pretend to read while she waited.

Where is everyone? Lady G wondered as she walked down the hall, the only sounds coming from her movements being her cape billowing slightly behind her and her boots tapping against the floor. At least she wasn't lost, she figured, like she had been back in the Tower. But even if she had been lost, this wasn't such a bad place for that to happen -- the halls were not nearly so dark and foreboding.
Within a few minutes of leaving her room she had come near the Castle's front lobby. No sound came from within but she decided it was worth a look checking to see if anyone was there. So she did so -- and found that indeed, someone was there. While she had not been looking for anybody specific ("Just someone," she had thought previously), she realized that this person was not in the group of those she had been looking for. Lu.
She put her hand on her hip and stood authoritatively in the doorway. "The Castle seems to have an intruder," she said.
Lu jerked closed her book and flew off of the couch. Her hands echoed Lady G's positioning and she put on her most menacing grin.
"Oh, hello there, Lady G. It seems that we are at peace right now, so why the attitude?" Lu jerked a curl over one shoulder- a very limp curl after her "bath" just a half-hour earlier- and smirked. "Or should I report you to Booky for breaking rule number 714 of the Peace and War Overdome Manuel, section four: "Fraternizing with former enemies in times of peace", which states" In times of peace enemies are no longer enemies but non-enemies"?" Lu hoped she had quoted that section right. Perhaps she didn't know Booky's rulebook as well as she should. "What so you have to say to that??" She demanded, impatiently. At last, something to do, even if it was only argue with the enemy! Er, non-enemy. Whatever Lady G was to her now...

Lady G pondered her words momentarily. "I do not believe I am subject to Booky's rules." She shrugged. "Still, so you are right, the Overdoms are (at the moment) in a time of peace." She shrugged again. "So, what brings you here?"
Kat, feeling something soft against her hand, looked down to see leia rubbing up against her. Petting the cat she spoke to her softly, oh to be you..so oblivious..so taken care of. you neednt worry about anything. The cat meowed again, and then crawled into Kat's lap, curled up and started purring.
Well thought Katana, I guess ill just have to wait a little while before searching for Lady A. Contentedly she sat back against the wall and started to stroke the adorable cat.

Lu shrugged and sat back down. "I dunno. Boredom, pure and simple." She held up her book and grinned. "At least we all like Narnia here..." Sizing up Lady G, she shrugged; at least she didn't seem about to attack her or anything. And they were at peace... "Besides, without Izzy here, things aren't as fun. I really need my partner in crime to get anything done. We all now what happened last time..." Lu grimaced at the thought.

Mountie was on her way to get a mocha from the cafe, when she heard voices floating in from the lobby. She changed her course, still wearing that cape of hers (after it had been cleaned of course). One thing was different, though. She wasn't wearing her hood. For the moment, she'd had enough of that after the Battle at Lover's Lookout. It felt good to breathe fresh air again. It also felt good to not be invisible. She and Philip had been excited to get back, and now Philip was in the castle's stables - or wherever gryphons go.
On the way to the lobby, Mountie pulled out her communicator and decided to check on Philip.
"How are you doing?" She asked, speaking out loud now.
"The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air," he replied.
"Yeah, that's what tends to happen when you finish a battle." Mountie sighed. The voices in the lobby were becoming louder now, and she ducked in through the door.
"Lady G... and Lu," she said, raising an eyebrow. "This is a sort of weird combination. What are you doing?"

Lu whirled to face Mountie. "Nothing. Reading. Not scheming. No, not scheming...this time." The was Lu said this time was almost comical and very Gollum-esque. She stared at Mountie with her own eyebrows raised. "What are you doing in the castle?" asked Lu, unaware as to the foolishness of her question.

"This time?" Mountie eyed Lu suspiciously for a moment, then she gestured to the book. "What are you reading?" She leaned against the wall as Lu asked her question. "I live in the Castle now. And since the battle is over, I decided to come back because I love the cappuccinos. That's why I'm here." Mountie managed to smile.

Lu flapped her copy of The Silver Chair. "I'm sorta kinda reading this. But I'm also sorta kinda talking to you and sorta kinda wishing for a mocha or something..." Lu gestured lazily in the general direction of the snack bar. "Yeah, so you live here? Seems pretty dull. Is it always this quirt?" Lu yawned and dropped her book. How could people live with so little adventure?!

Mountie nodded. "Ah, I love that book. And the mochas here are delicious. They're also unlimited, so I wouldn't hesitate about taking advantage of the snack bar. In fact, I might just do so myself." Mountie tapped her fingers absentmindedly on the end table she was standing next to. "Yes, I live here, when we're not fighting battles against the Tower." She paused, wondering how Lu would react to the mention of the Tower. Then she continued. "It's only this quiet when we're not preparing for battle. I'm enjoying it while I can - it won't always be this peaceful."

Lu helped herself to a mocha with extra chocolate and slouched back down on her couch. Here eyes shifted to the corner of the floor, but she was not seeing the light sprinkling of dust and cobwebs there. Rather, she was thinking...
I wonder how long this time of peace will last. Surely Izzy will help me in the next war, when it comes. Which it will...
Lu suddenly felt like the British during the Revolutionary War.

"I guess we all do like Narnia here," Lady G said. "Oh, hi Mountie." She smiled. Mountie was one of the minions she had not seen since before the battle in the Tower, so it was nice to see her.
She glanced back at Lu, who seemed to be relaxing for the most part. While Lady G didn't trust her, she determined that Lu was completely outnumbered inside the Castle should some sort of skirmish come up. Resolving to keep an eye on her yet remain friendly during the time of peace, Lady G nonetheless turned to her fellow minion. "I haven't seen you in awhile. What did you think of the battle?"
"Yes, it has been a while!" Mountie smiled at her old friend. "Not many people have seen me since the battle - since I was invisible most of the time." She laughed. "The battle was crazy. I'm glad to be back. I'm just not sure how much longer this time of peace will last." Mountie let out a sigh and crossed her arms in a relaxed position. "What about you? How have you been? And what did you think of the battle?"
