Well, that's good.
Ericnovak? Cool! I don't know any NWebbers except my sister American Girl Freak, but that doesn't exactly count, does it? =]
Ice-cream? You know, I'm actually torn. I love ice-cream (especially chocolate!) but I love cake too...mm, they're both good!
Anything fun planned...well, no, not unless you count schoolwork. And schoolwork is not fun, IMO. Math is so confusing.
EDIT: Wow, another long post, NN95! *waves back* How's life going? What do you think of the change?

Actually, that post really isn't long compared to some of Bella's from the old NWeb. Life is going great, thanks!
Here are my thoughts on the change! It'll be really hard to get used to, but I'm sure it'll eventually feel like home. What do you think about it?

Hey everyone! Yay for new Town Squares!
I'm still getting used to this new forum, but so far, I love it! My brother and I had to go out for about an hour to help a friend with some yard work, and we got it done in about half that time...we joked that we had good incentive- for my brother it's a game he's working on with a friend, and for me it's beloved NarniaWeb!
Now...for catch up.
@ Bella: (from the old forum)
I'm glad you're feeling better- how are things with you today?
@ Winter: (we were talking about approaching adulthood) Yes...I kind of know how that feels. Sometimes I look back in my old journals, and read things that I wrote when I was 13 or 14, and sometimes even things about how 'old' being 15 will be...and now...the years have gone by so fast! But that's alright- time has proven to me that God is with me every step of the way, which is so comforting!
@ Ella: That cookie/biscuit town sounds like fun!
Ahh, thank you for the info on your Old Testament Survey- it sounds like a great way to get into the Bible. That's one thing I'm quite liking about the Bible College course I'm taking this school year, it not only has helped me with memorization but also with getting more familiar with God's Word and understanding it better.
@ Aiden: (about Get Smart) No problem! Yes-- one thing I was quite pleased at was how cheap Season 1 was, only $20! Sometimes the season sets of TV shows can be quite expensive.
@ Betsie: You're most welcome! Did you have a great 17th birthday? I hope so!
Well- this looks like catch up is done. I'm off to check out the rest of the forum! Cheers!
Dear days of old, with the faces in the firelight,
Kind folks of old, you come again no more.
(Robert Louis Stevenson)
Good , all! What do you all think about the New NarniaWeb? I think it's pretty good! It will take some getting used to though.
CATCHUP FROM THE OLD FORUM:
Firstly: HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY, BETSIE!
Yep, Edmund P, I certainly have had the flu. That's why I've been on NarniaWeb so often... I didn't have school. But yes, I am feeling a bit better, and will hopefully be back to school soon. Eh, I hope you're not getting sick!
Good, I'm glad you're feeling better! I actually am sick now. I think it's only a cold, though. I ran a 100-101 degree fever last night . I hardly got any sleep...yep, lot's of fun . I was looking forward to doing something tomorrow (which I had been anticipating all summer), but I'm probably not going to be able to do it.
Haha! We have a lot in common...
Indeed!
I'm nervous about the competition and glad that a lot of my friends and my sisters are going!! My two sisters are competing against one another! I'm just glad that I'm in a younger division...because they would probably beat me...
Ohh, so you do dance?! That's really cool ! Haha, your sister's are competing against one another? That should be interesting ! So, I'm assuming that your sister's are pretty good at dance?
Oh, right, I had forgotten that you didn't use it any more. Thanks!
Yeah...I really like the new colour I'm using! And it's a good thing I remembered the code for here! Your welcome, Bella!
Sweet! Too bad it's going away...
I liked the old emoticons more than I like these new ones... . Hey, I bet i can get the old nerd face back...let's see...
I am kinda sad about the smileys changing, though. I like our current ones...
I'm pretty sad about it too .
At least with your new username we can still call you "EP."
Haha, yeah that's true!
Anyway, I hope French goes well for you. When are you starting it?
Probably the middle or the end of this month.
I'm not too excited that the new forum doesn't have a WYSIWYG editor, though.
Yes, that is unfortunate...
Btw, I like you font color!
Thanks, Pebbles!
Oh no, I was being dead serious.
Oh...
I really like the new quote boxes! Well, it's time to start catching up in this new Town Square! I'm looking forward to it!
I met Georgie and Skandar AND saw the film in one evening.
Hello again!
@ CSLN. Oh, O.K. I felt kind of bad for talking with Bella, but not mentioning you....
D'aww thankyou. Lol, it's quite allright.
School starts next week for me as well. I'm looking forward to it/dreading it (as always). After this year though, I'll graduate which will be great!
Ditto about school. I'm doing Geometry this year (which I detest) so, it might be more of a challenge for me than Algebra was. What about you? You're graduating next year? Coolio! So what college do you think you'll go to?
I'm doing well. Enjoying my last few days of freedom before school starts.
Heh, my mom said, "Girls, this is your last day to enjoy, so enjoy." Hee. ^.^
The Lappy? What does that mean? Laptop? Yeah, I remember her having to try certain things on your computer. What do you mean, the site would close down?
Yes, it means the Laptop
As in, if I had a window open, sometimes it would close. Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you.
An excellent idea!
Lol, thanks . I wish it were real though...
CS, have you ever met a NWebber in real life?
Yes I have, as Aitb said. It was Eric He was fun to talk to, and I hope to meet him again. I hope to meet all my NW friends
@ Ella: That cookie/biscuit town sounds like fun!
Lol, it must be tempting to be there .
There's this mall nearby which has a whole floor dedicated to food (hence my favorite floor, and mall) Its an amazing place! And, they have one store where some chocolate fountains aer on, so *drools* You see all that chocolatey goodness flowing and rippling.
Ahh, thank you for the info on your Old Testament Survey- it sounds like a great way to get into the Bible. That's one thing I'm quite liking about the Bible College course I'm taking this school year, it not only has helped me with memorization but also with getting more familiar with God's Word and understanding it better.
No Problem! Bible College Course. Sounds fun! Lol, I like understanding alot of the poetry, and the prophecies.
We did this thing called "Bible Study" which had us do pretty much the same thing as the surveys except, we would be doing it at a more primary level. It was pretty fun, especially one of the projects, which was making a little model basin like that of the temple.
Well, I shall be around, and I shall be adventuring the mysteries of this new NW.

Every time I think of a quote or witty comment to put here, the quote is not so spectacular and the comment is not so witty.
Mortereve all!
@ Aiden: (about Get Smart) No problem! Yes-- one thing I was quite pleased at was how cheap Season 1 was, only $20! Sometimes the season sets of TV shows can be quite expensive.
My mom and I were just this morning talking about the different seasons of Get Smart. She thought 4 was already out, but I told her a reliable source said otherwise. Anyway, we get our TV shows on Amazon.com, so they're usually a better price. I think my mom said that the first two seasons of Get Smart were only $16.
I liked the old emoticons more than I like these new ones... . Hey, I bet i can get the old nerd face back...let's see...
Yeah, so do I. In fact, I downloaded some before the forum switch, because I'm gonna miss them so much.
Probably the middle or the end of this month.
I'm assuming you're starting school at the same time?
Yes, that is unfortunate...
I think that's the thing I'm going to have the most trouble getting used to.
Yes, it means the Laptop
As in, if I had a window open, sometimes it would close. Sorry, didn't mean to confuse you.
Ah, I see. Interesting nickname!
Oh, that's weird!

Helloooooooo, everybody!! Mortereve to all! *looks around shyly* Gracious me, it's been so dreadfully long since I've been here, I feel rather awkward now. So much has transpired in my absence, and I believe I even missed the start of TWO NEW SQUARES!!! Yipes! You'll hafta scuze my absence. The "busies" got ahold of me. That's what happens when you graduate and get a life in the grown up world.
I have MISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSED everybody so much though, that I'm going to try to get back in! I thought perhaps the day that NarniaWeb got a new start would be an appropriate day for me to get a new start in Squareonionship too. So here I is!
Perhaps I shall comment on the new "do". It is not entirely what I expected, but I think it'll be a good change! I have no complaints. I agree with Aiden that it is a bit strange that the post formatting tools don't appear until you preview or edit a post. But oh well!
I'm afeared that I won't be able to catch up on any of the old town squares (are they still around btw?). I've heard pieces from Jojo though....she DOES go on about things in here.
Well, I guess I'll call this a post for now, but I look forward to more later! whoopdie-do, it's good to be back!!
Before I go, hey to AIDEN, PC, Bella, Lucy, and whoever else was here!

I actually have since discovered (thanks to the helpful mods) that by pressing "Post Reply" button, you'll get all those formatting options.
(are they still around btw?)
Yes, Tirian has been kind enough to leave the old forum up for a year. Here's the link to it! However, I have been refraining as much as possible from looking at it. If I do, it'll only make me want it back more.
Anyway, glad to hear you'll be around more often!

OH, cool cool. Thanks. Teehee, I thought I did that (hit Post Reply), but apparently, I just used the box at the bottom of the page. That's great though, thanks for the tip! We all have some adjusting to do, don't we?
Oh, I'm glad to hear that. I may take a peek if I have time, just for fun. Maybe catch up for myself on some of it (although I would never be able to respond to any of the content!)
Thanks for welcoming me back!

Yeah, it's kinda confusing. The "Submit" button at the bottom of the post composer is what's used to actually post the post. The "Post Reply" button doesn't post anything, but it brings you to another place where you actually write the post. And that's when you get all your formatting options. Not sure why it's like that.
Yeah, that's a good idea. Like I said, I don't really want to look at it for a while, because I want this forum to become NarniaWeb for me. As long as I'm still looking at the old forum, this will look funny. Once this becomes normal and the old forum looks funny, then I'll go back and look at old stuff.
You're welcome!

Thanks. I figured it out by the time I posted a second time.
I see what you mean about growing accustomed to the new NW. Perhaps that's a good idea - to let the new one "settle in" before going back to look at the old.
Now, I have another problem. I can't figure out how to put my signature jpg in that box to save my life. Can someone please shed a light? I'll love you forever!!
Thanks!

Good mortereve to all!!
Wow, this is really different! I love it, but it will take some getting used to before I'm completely comfortable.
Well, this is my first post on this forum, and it's going to be a catch up post.
Yesterday was really busy for me, but it was a lot of fun! My family went to an amusement park with my sister and her family (five nieces and nephews), we had a blast! My brother-in-law and I got soaked on one of the rides, so my jeans were wet the rest of the day! It's always fun to spend a day like that!
From the previous Square...
What are your thoughts on the forum switch?
Irrelevant? JK, as stated at the beginning of this post, it will take some getting used to, but I like it.
"I really need your help here."
Oh, of course! This is always a lot of fun.
"Ian, I'm not going to let you steal the Declaration of Independence."
Yes, it is.
Finally......
Ah yes, I'm glad you brought that up. I've never seen the BBC Narnia movies, but I've heard a lot about them, and I know how poorly made they are. Now, a while back someone told me I should watch them because they're excellent from an adaption standpoint. I said that I really didn't want to watch them because I would be distracted by the poor quality of it all, and yet I felt rather sorry for not wanting to watch them because they are such good adaptions. However, I was so happy when glumPuddle brought up the point that no matter how accurate the story is the BBC movies aren't a good adaption because they don't have the spirit of the book and they're not as exciting and capturing. That kinda made me feel better for not having wanted to see the BBC movies. Does that make sense? Sorry for rambling.
You're welcome!
I watched them recently, and I didn't like them. I don't remember how word for word they were, but I don't think that that is the only way to make a good adaptation. I think that if you stay true to the spirit and themes of the book, even if it isn't word for word, or something is moved around, it would still be a good adaptation. (I sound like Gymfan did in the podcast )
No worries, it was a good ramble.
Please, please, don't rub it in. Just be satisfied that I have realized my errors and have come around to the good guys' side.
If you insist, I'll be nice.
Yeah, I like that one. "Impressive." Darth Vader in one of the SW movies.
Ditto. "You don't have to do this to impress me." Leia, from Star Wars.
Well, LL wants me to come visit them in France, so she was going to send a sheep to fly me. To put it lightly, that ended in disaster.
I think that I understand now.
It's not too surprising, since I have to get up early for school every day. It's just that I don't usually have time to post a catchup.
I'm usually not on the computer until around 12 (not because I sleep in really late, that's just when my parents would like me to wait to get on ).
Have you ever heard any David Arnold music? The only thing I've heard is the theme to Independence Day. That's a good theme!
I heard what he did for Amazing Grace and that was really pretty. I don't think I've heard that theme yet, I'll have to see if I can look it up.
Amazing how much substance I can have just responding to one person!
Haha, true.
Ok! Will do! I mean it, if we ever meet, you have to teach me to happy dance or else...I know! I'll throw a temper tantrum!
I guess I'll need to work on mine then.
Don't tell me you've never done anything crazy in your life!
Hehe, you don't want to know.
Yes, I have quite a few siblings, actually. I guess I don't have as many siblings as some people do. But still, I have a pretty big family. You?
Neat! I am the youngest of six kids.
Hah!
It was short for me.
My oldest sister (I have three older sisters) was the first person to teach me piano!! She's in college now, but one of the first songs she taught me was Heart and Soul!! We played it so much, my Mom got sick of it and now she doesn't let us play it!
Haha, that sounds like fun.
Djaq: I so heartily agree about the year going by fast- it just seems like it was January....and now it's approaching autumn and winter once more.
Yes, it has flown by rather fast.
I see you're volunteering at a horse ranch for disabled kids- how neat! Do you enjoy it?
I haven't started yet, but we went for training last Monday. I think that we'll start on the 14th.
September is a busy month for birthdays, isn't it? My sister's is coming up on the 14th, then mine on the 24th. And my dear uncle is coming up for my birthday, I shall have to think of another present to get him. (He's the uncle that I always give him joke gifts for birthday/Christmas, so I shall have to cook up something delightful for him...)
I don't know what it is about this month, but it's always busy. That sounds really fun! I don't have any uncles like that (I don't really know any of mine very well), but I have brothers-in-law that are fun.
I'm glad that things are going well for you.
Yes, you did do quite alot of good to me! Good, good Djaq. =]
Yes, I know, darling, I know.
Rainy weather, Djaq? We had lots of rain back in August, but these first few days of September have been bright and sunny. It's finally starting to cool down a little outside, too.
The weather here has been a really good temperature! It was perfect yesterday!
*continues to laugh out loud at Winty and Aiden's conversation about being "perfect"*
Well, you always do, so....
What? I'm insulted!
JK.
Yes, actually. I prefer to call it Mom and Dad. Same here, so I'll try not to call you a "genus".
Haha, well, I guess that works too. Well, thank you.
Djaq, your oldest sibling is 17 years older than you? Nice! My oldest sibling is 16 years older than me.
Nice! We are quite a bit alike.
Yeah, it has such a cool intro! Do you have any other favs by them that you recommend me listening to?
Hmm, I love "Sweet Afton" is lovely, "The Hand Song" is really cute, "Seven Wonders", "Out of the Woods", and I'm sure there are more, but I can't really think of them right now.
Djaq: Thank you! I've never really been quite convinced that multiple glaring colors were better than sincere old brown. So I'm quite happy with the sweet sincerity you gave me!
Did you have a good birthday?
The new Square:
In fact, I doubled up on school yesterday so that I wouldn't have any today. That way, I can spend a lot of time on NW!
Wow, you were really looking forward to this.
Lissa!!!! Wow, it's been ages!!! It's great to see you here again!

It's the same as the old forum. What seems to be wrong?
Well, this is my first post on this forum, and it's going to be a catch up post.
Congrats! And, I'm glad you decided to do a catchup!
"Ian, I'm not going to let you steal the Declaration of Independence."
"Ok. From this point on, all you're going to be is a hindrance." *Shaw pulls out a pistol*
Well put! Obviously, getting the dialogue right isn't the only factor. I could sit in front of a camera and read the Chronicles, but is that a good film adaption? Obviously not! Or, I could create these massive sets that were exactly how everyone pictured Narnia (we're speaking hypothetically, remember) but not have any dialogue that even closely resembled the book. Or, I could have absolutely everything right to satisfy everyone, and then do a little cartoon Aslan. That wouldn't work too well either. There are many factors that go into making a good adaption. And, you can't please everyone with every aspect.
I think the Walden movies have been great so far, because they got a lot right. There were some major things they got wrong, but (opposite to the way salvation works) the good outweighed the bad. The BBC movies, on the other hand, may have gotten some aspects correct, but failed terribly in others, or so I've heard. That makes it a bad adaption.
Another ramble, sorry!
If you insist, I'll be nice.
Ah, but of course you will! (Unlike the mimers!)
Ditto. "You don't have to do this to impress me." Leia, from Star Wars.
"I suppose saying we're sorry wouldn't quite cover it?" LWW. Not quite sure exactly how that quote goes.
I think that I understand now.
Yes, well, I'd be glad to visit them in France, of course..... but not if a sheep is going to fly me!
I'm usually not on the computer until around 12 (not because I sleep in really late, that's just when my parents would like me to wait to get on ).
Ah, I see. I can go on whenever, but I have to fit it in around school.
I heard what he did for Amazing Grace and that was really pretty. I don't think I've heard that theme yet, I'll have to see if I can look it up.
I've never seen Amazing Grace or heard the music for it, but people have said that it's really good.
Yeah, you should look it up. I got it off of YouTube.
*continues to laugh out loud at Winty and Aiden's conversation about being "perfect"*
Oh, I see how it works. It's not enough that I've made 4 mistakes. Now everybody has to go and laugh at me! Well! ( )
Wow, you were really looking forward to this.
Well, it wasn't just for NarniaWeb. It was also so that I could have an extra long weekend. And, I also needed to catch up on some much-needed sleep. And, I just kinda felt like it. And, the list of reasons go on. However, I am glad that I have so much time on NW today.
