*waves to everyone who has stopped by*
Thanks to all those who talked to me! :) I've been keeping up in here the last few days, even if I didn't say anything.

And just in case I have to clear this up:
I think I'm the only non-Canadian in here, that knew who Gretzky is. Weird. Like I said... I need help. *likes hockey too much for own good, sometimes. well, that and Cardinals baseball* :p

Because I know someone is bound to ask:
I'm fine, today. But I didn't do much. Slept in way later than planned (was tired), worked on my room... and now I'm hanging out on here and facebook! So, that's my day! ;))

How has yours been?

Hello, Square! :-h

How has everyone's Saturday been? I had an all-right day. It rained for the most part, but I happen to like rain... so.... :p Thanks to all of you who sent me well wishes about my hand! It's still doing about the same, but we're hoping for the best.

That's great, Djaq! I guess we started school a little later this year, so we're getting out later also. Ah well.

And thank you so much for the prayers!

*waves back* Hi Miss R!! How have you been? It's been such a long time since I talked to you!

I know! Good to see you again. It sounds like you've been... busy? :p

*waves to Lark* :)

*glances around the Square, hoping to see Prince Cor somewhere near* Aww, it appears that he's elsewhere tonight. *lays several parcels under the popular chocolate tree, where---knowing the Royal Family--- he is likely to immediately go. ;) * There you are! The larger box is for Vern---a loaf of banana bread---and the smaller is for Cor. (And Vern, just for your information... a LOT of work went into making that bread. ;) I had a terrible time trying to figure out what to bake it in. I actually considered using a feeding trough at one time (AFTER carefully scrubbing and cleaning it, mind you), but eventually ended up using a different method. ;)

*skimming....*

Because I know someone is bound to ask:
I'm fine, today. But I didn't do much. Slept in way later than planned (was tired), worked on my room... and now I'm hanging out on here and facebook! So, that's my day!

I seem to remember quite well that you dislike being asked that question frequently. ;) I've been careful to refrain from such behavior, mind you. ;))

Annnd.... that concludes my catchup. ;) Good evening to all, and to all a good night!

*A tornado of papers, textbooks, sticky notes, and highlighters sweeps into the Square. Dazedly, ~LL~ looks about and remembers this forgotten place. . .*

I think I'm the only non-Canadian in here, that knew who Gretzky is. Weird. Like I said... I need help.

Well, then we both need help. :p I know who he is, but just the very major details; not enough of a hockey fan to know all that. Not sure where I picked it up; perhaps because we have a minor league (or whatever the equivalency is in hockey) team in town, so ice hockey is a known, but not loved-by-me sport. (Nothing against it, the games are just too loud for me ;)) )

Anyways, I just popped in to say hi MORTEREVE to everyone!

I've got two more weeks of school, and then I shall hopefully be able to visit more frequently then bimonthly ( ) over the summer.

Hope you all are doing well and enjoying spring!

Congrats to our newest Square Onion WC members, as well! Cor and QS! :D/

See you again soon, I hope! God bless and sweet dreams to all!

*Lady Amalthea sweeps contentedly into the Square*

I have never been known to sweep or do any form of housework contentedly.

*Her love for the Square overcoming her aversion to "work."*

True, I do love the Town Square and never have enough time to spend here as I would like. There is just so much to do at the castle, especially with Cor and Vern running about rescuing King Lune. It's enough to drive a woman to ..... a chocolate tree, of course!

*Lady Amalthea ventures to the chocolate tree, then notices the gifts below it.*

Ooh! Presents! But it isn't Christmas. Let me see, one is for Cor and the BIG one is for Vern. That's very nice. I'll be sure to let them know as soon as I remember it.

*Hopefully it won't be like last time....*

What about Last Time? King Lune got his gift.... eventually. And it was still in one piece and dry, thank you. Well, for the most part, anyway....

Oh Look! I have really grown quite fond of the chocolate/peanut butter/caramel/pecan covered apples on this chocolate tree. I'll pick a couple for now and then send Cor and Vern to get some more later.

*And their packages?*

What packages? Oh! Yes, their packages. Thank you Narrator. Ready to go home now?

*The Lady Amalthea heads back to the castle happily munching on her enhanced apple*

Did someone say chocolate? ;)

Good mortereve, Lady Amalthea and everyone else! Nice to see you in the Square this evening.

I too am not in here as oft as I may like. Recently I've been on a 10-day vacation visiting relatives in various parts of the realm - including some in places remote enough to not have internet access! *gasp* ;) Still, it was great fun!

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

How wonderful to see you. We almost made it the Square at the same time, too! :) Everytime I see something unusual in the Heavens I think of you. (I'm not sure if that came out the way I meant it to, but hopefully you took it the way I meant for you to... )

Oh well, maybe next time. I seem to keep missing the eloquent Johobbit as well. Consider yourselves hugged:

Until next time, treat yourself to something from the chocolate tree. I Royally recommend the chocolate&etc. covered apples! :D

*Cor and Vern enter the Square in search of two packages left by the lovely miss Rose....*

Lady A said they were somewhere in the Square, though she forgot where exactly... /:) This happens far too often. 8-|

*Ah ha! I see them, Cor! By the chocolate tree, a very good place to be!*

You sound like you're about to start a song, Vern....

*Well, I do have a lovely singing voice according to Mrs. Beaver. B-) *

*Cor simply shakes his head as he pulls (or tries to pull) his and Vern's presents out from under the chocolate tree*

Uhh, a little help here, Vern? #:-s

*The Royal Dragon walks over to the Prince and assists him in pulling the packages over to the fountain*

*Banana bread! :D Thank you most kindly, Rose! I appreciate all the work that must gone into making this. Thank you kindly. :) [i/]*

A box of.... umm, what exactly did I get, Rose? :- Anyway, thanks!

*Cor and Vern partake of their gifts as they sit at the fountain*

A catch-up post will be made shortly.... possibly. ;) :)

If I get this right: we all just exchange greetings, chat, and enjoy other random fun-ness? :p

Well, I look forward to talking to you.

Good Mortereve everyone! I hope you all are having a good day! I have been, it's one of my brother's birthdays today, and we gave him Apples to Apples Junior for his present. It's such a fun game! :)

Sadly, I'm still sick. I've had this same cough for like two weeks and it's getting really bothersome. Weird thing is, it's not like I'm really sick, I just keep coughing. And its' not like a horrible cough that won't stop, I'll just randomly cough now and then. So it sometimes feels like I'm getting better, but it never does! X(

Oh no! :( Maybe you have bronchitis or something similar? Those types of illness can be like that- coughing, but otherwise feeling really good, and it lasts for weeks... I hope you feel better soon!

How have you been doing? I've missed everyone on Narnia Web a lot!

I have been doing really well, thank you! Busy, but good. :) How are you aside from your cough? :) I'm praying for you!

*waves to F2*

*waves back* How are things for you? :)

mmhmm... :| :p

He he he! ;))

Actually I found that I wrote down the first draft so I just had to revise it a little :D

Yep :p

Ok as long as you watch it! :p

Hurrah! That must have been quite a relief to yourself! :)

I was able to watch the movie- it was cool! :) I like that song particurlarly of all the ones I've heard. A question though, who's the girl playing the keyboard/piano? (Random, yes)

@ Fanny. Two things that have come up that are exciting, well for me anyway: I take Spring Break next week and my birthday is next Friday! :D Probably not that big for most people, but I'm looking forward to it. :)

Birthdays are always exciting! :) I hope yours is a wonderful one! :)

*sends a wave and a hello to Mrs. Jo* How are you? :)

I'm doing well, though my hand has been hurting quite a bit lately. My right thumb received a direct hit in hockey a couple weeks ago. At first it just swelled and I couldn't move it, and then it seemed to be healing. But this past week, it's really gone downhill. We went to the doctor for some ex-rays, but they couldn't see any noticeable problem. So, I get to wear a splint for several days, and then go to a hand specialist. Woo-hoo. :p

Ouch! I hope you feel better soon, and that whatever the exact injury is is not too bad of one!

I'm glad to hear it! :D It sounds really neat!
Oh, I almost forgot to ask you...would you like to join the fanclub that flambeau and I started for the BBC Robin Hood TV show? :D All it involves at the moment is putting "Team Hoodie" in your sig. ;)) :)

Thanks! :) Yes, it is. :) I'd love to join Team Hoodie! :) Is there any characters that are left to be "picked"? (Or mayhaps I can be Guy on the Team Hoodie? :D He's one of my favourite RH characters, not because I'm a fan gurl, but because his inward struggles between good and evil are fascinating. If you, ahem, don't want a bad guy on the team, I'm quite alright with that. ;) ;)) )

Quite well! They did a fantastic job! There was jousting and sword fighting, and it really wasn't bad. ;)) Better then some movies I've seen almost. ;)) :p The food was good as well. :D And we got to eat it without any silverware, though I'm not sure that was a plus. ;) Anyway. Enjoyed that. :D We went to a War museum (Ahem, "Civil" war museum) afterwards... They had a HUGE oil painting there. Quote from Wikipedia: "The painting at one time was the largest oil painting in the world, and if unrolled would measure 42 feet high by 358 feet long. It held this record until 2004" 😮 Wow. :p
Aaaand my brothers did well at their Lego thing... 3rd place in Research, 4th in programming, and placed near the top in other areas too. :D Out of 15,000 teams worldwide, 85 made it to WORLD competition, and I'd say the team my brothers were in was in the top 20 at least there. Maybe 10. :D So that's pretty awesome. ;))

Ooh, yay! :) For the good historical reenactment and the Civil War Museum. :) The latter especially sounds like a good one. :) And I'm very glad your brothers did well in the competition- what kind of things did they have to build/work on? It sounds like it was more than just simple lego models. :)

W00t! Is that, pray tell, ~LL~? :D How are you? I hope you're doing well!

Welcome to the Square, Aslan's Country! :) This is indeed the place for getting to know one another and talk about anything- so long as it follows the rules. :) That and that each post must have substance are the only rules around here (I believe?), so do hop right in! :)

Anyway. Cheers all! :)

Greetings, SquareOnions!

Lady A, it appears we just missed each other, alas. In any event, thanks for the hug and here's one for you.

I went to the theater for the new Clash of the Titans this weekend, and posted a few remarks in the Present Movies thread in the Spare Oom. Keep in mind that some are from the perspective of a self-proclaimed mythology geek. ;))

Welcome to the Square, Aslan's Country! As ForeverFan has said, this is the place for casual conversation, getting to know each other, telling us about how your day went or new things you wish to share, or comments on other recent posts in this thread (though sometimes it can get moving pretty fast!). The forum rules (including substance) apply, but other than that it's pretty open. Make yourself at home! :)

hi back! :D

Ali, you're getting over a cold too? That makes two of us. I hope you get completely better soon!

Hehe, it's not much of a debate, more like a discussion, since we usually agree. But It's fine with me if you want to join. Just drop Aiden a PM and check with him. :)

Thank you. I'm pretty much over it now but the remnants remain :p .

Ok cool, I'll PM him then :) .

Ah, see? He has a perfectly legitimate reason. What CD do you want?

I want to pre-order Tenth Avenue North's new CD The Light Meets the Dark and I want to get Do You Feel (deluxe edition) by The Rocket Summer :) .

lol, that's strange. ;))

lol I know ;)) . But our family's weird :p .

Neat! :) I really like Hayley and Celtic Woman (my sister got me interested). Ooh, I love Josh Groban's music! :D His voice is great!
Here's a link to David Klinkenberg's website, if you're interested. It isn't updated much, but you can hear some of his songs on there. ;)) :)

Cool- do you like Celtic Thunder?

Ok cool, I'll look at it later :)

Yep, just put "Team Hoodie" in your sig, and you're good to go! :D

ok, I might get some graphics to match ;)

Hi Aslans Country! :D Welcome to the square!

Hullo, all!
Sorry I didn't pop in earlier, 'twas a busy(ish) sorta day. I'll tell you why in a moment. ;) Umm, sorry I didn't respond last night... not sure why I didn't. Any rate, I'm here now!

First things first:

I seem to remember quite well that you dislike being asked that question frequently. ;) I've been careful to refrain from such behavior, mind you. ;))

And your effort is highly appreciated, I can assure you!

By the by, nice quote in your sig! B-)
Where did you find it? Anyway, it's a good reminder (of sorts). You know, to not give up, just 'cause you're scared? Sorta reminds one of that "The only thing to fear, is fear itself." quote. Which is true, fear holds you back from doing things that you should (in theory) be able to do. (one never knows what they can accomplish, unless they try) Isn't there another quote, that says something about... Courage isn't the absence of fear, but pushing on through it, regardless?

Eep! Sorry, guys and gals! Didn't mean to get on a soapbox or anything of the sort. 8-| ;))

~LL~, dear! Nice to have you back! I look forward to the time you can be around a lot more... I've missed you.

#:-s Good to know I'm not the only Square Onion (have I ever used that term before now? I can't remember...) in the USA who knows of Gretzky. :p And that's alright, I never expected all of us to have all of the same interests! That'd be silly. ;)) (seeing as God created us all to be unique ;) )

Aslans Country~ Welcome to the Square! (and Ditto Town) I know it seems daunting at first, but you'll quickly get the hang of the place. (I have no doubt) I look forward to getting to know you better! :)

*chuckles yet again, at everyone calling Lady Amalthea, "Lady A".* I'm still SO used to that being Lady Arwen's nickname. I'm a hopeless case, I'm afraid. Any ideas on a nickname I could call you, that won't confuse me everytime I (see or) use it?

*waves to everyone I haven't mentioned*
It's so nice to be able to talk with all of you again! I know at times, I get too busy or lazy to post in here... but I really do miss you guys when I'm not around. And always wonder how you're doing, and what you're up to.

Now that the necessary pleasantries are out of the way:
You will no doubt be curious about how my Sunday went. Alright, I'll tell. It's only fair, I suppose... seeing as I brought it up at the beginning of this post. Well, I'll try and give the short version. I hope that's ok with you.

Well, let's start with Saturday night. (you'll see why, in a moment) I lost track of time making graphics and browsing around Nweb and facebook. Next thing I know it's really late... like around 4am. (yes, yes. Shame on me. I know :p ) I think to myself "Oh, well. That stinks! But I can at least get about an hour or two of sleep before it's time to get up..." Ha, like it's EVER that easy for me! So, I turned off the computer, got ready for bed, and closed my eyes. But sleep never overtook me. :( I tried everything I could think of, but nope... no sleep for this sleepy girl. Next thing I know, I'm FINALLY starting to drift off to sleep. But... Dad comes in (I had asked him to check on me, as I don't always hear my alarm. He does this every sunday. though, usually I've had some amount of sleep) "Andrea, time to get up." I groaned, and thought... "Darn it! I'm tiiiiiiired. Don't wanna get up!"

Naturally, I had no choice but to get up... had to shower before church. So, anyway... I got up, got ready, and got there in time for sunday school. Albiet, a bit tired... but there. Then church started, and I was thrilled cause two of my friends were home. (that doesn't happen often for them. well, often enough to suit ME, at any rate. ;)) ) There was supposed to be a Ladies Tea at 2pm, but I was too tired. And once I got home, I ate lunch and took a nap. I'd wake up, and go back to sleep a few times. Next thing I knew, it was around 4pm? And I got online for about an hour, to check on things.

A little before 6:30, I was at church again. (for Bunko with the youth. it's the last one for the year. :(( ) Anyway, I was there for a few hours, and had loads of fun hanging out. (I even got the loser prize. Timmy was mad, he had wanted to be the worst player of the night. And the funny thing was, he coulda been... if he hadn't gotten a bunko. I was like, "Next time, don't get a bunko... and then I'll beat you" =)) That silly boy... who ever heard of someone wanting to be in last place?! I don't care if the loser does get pennies... it's stupid. We had a good laugh about it, though. Well, all of us, but him... he was too busy pouting. ;)) )

Bother, this post was a lot longer than I planned on it being! And yes, that was the "short" version of my day! Sorry for the overuse of emoticons... I really have to get better about that. But it's really hard sometimes, to show your mood without them! I also apologise for any spelling or grammatical errors in this post.

Anyway, I should get to bed. Or I'll never get all the stuff done tomorrow, that I want (and need) to. (you know, if I stay up too late, that means sleeping in. which takes away precious time from work and play... including my chatting with you time) Have a wonderful Monday, everyone!

You. will. love. them. Well, I'm making an educated guess on the TAN CD, but you're hardly going to be disappointed. :p
What exactly does the deluxe edition contain that the standard one doesn't?

That is so me.. this happened just last night. Well, not the 4 am part, but you know what I mean. ;)

I definitely overuse the :p mark. It's so perfect for every situation though, I wish I could use it in real life..

Mortereve all!!!

Umm... well it's somewhere between four-and-a-half and five weeks... :p

Oh. OH. Lol, I'm sorry. (Well hey, I suppose it's better than Gilbert though.) Do you, uh, have any knowledge of what they're going to put on next year? Hopefully not something like Pride & Prejudice... (where you could be Mr. Darcy? Lol, a horrifying suggestion I'm sure.) :p

Ah, ok. Not bad!

Actually, Gilbert had a very small part in the version we did. So, it really wasn't better than Gilbert's part. Interestingly enough, the same guy who played Gilbert is playing Laurie this year. He fits the parts well.
No, please! Don't give our director any ideas. ;)) In the olden days, before I was old enough to do plays, we had a very small cast, but it was a great bunch of actors and they would do a comedy each year. We haven't done a comedy in a long time, but apparently our director has found one that would be good for our group, so I hope we do that next year.

"Alright...L-A-B-O-U-L-L-A-D...*tries a number of different pronunciations* It's gibberish..."

"Laboule!" (That was an easy one!)

"Sorry to disappoint you." PC.

lol! "You disappoint me, Ben!" ;))

Yes, indeed! (No, you will not! ;) )

No, indeed! (Yes, I will!)

Deal! :) Okay, I listened to episode #58 last night. They discuss the armor that we have seen so far in VDT and also the MLG. What are your thoughts on those subjects?

Oh, man, that's how far back you are? In that case, I won't feel so guilty for not having read that paper yet. ;))
I really don't remember anything from those episodes. So, if there's anything interesting you want to discuss, you'll have to bring it up.

Lol. Not quite hundreds of times. ;) I'm sure I'm close to that number though. ;)) I watched them with my sister (not flambeau) when I was first introduced to them and watched them a few times each then...then I got flambeau interested and watched all of them with her...and then we got some friend's of ours interested so we've watched them all with them a few times...yeah, a lot. ;))

Ah, so 99s of times? ;)) Wow, that is a lot!

Oh, I thought I remembered you saying that. Maybe you didn't. I may have been mistaken.

I don't think I said that. Maybe you're telepathic. ;)) :P

You are the one person who does not need a new nickname! ;)

lol, ain't that the truth!

Wow, you've been posting a lot lately!

Oooh! I have an interesting topic for a discussion! What about war? What do you think about war?

This is a topic we've been discussing in my Rhetoric class lately, so I'm interested in it. :)

Hmm, I've not thought about this too much... If war is necessary, I'm all in favor of it. In the Bible, God let the children of Israel into battle many times to defeat heathen nations.

@ NN. Found the video, but can't watch it because of parental controls. :( I guess I'll just have to fish out $50.00 and buy the boxed set. ;) :p

I've also watched a few more episodes on youtube and still really enjoying it! :D

Ah, gotcha. Fortunately, I was able to watch them all on YouTube, before the poster took them down, and I downloaded them all, so I can watch them any time I want. Anyway, do watch all you can. And i'm glad you're enjoying it.

Wow, is the DVD set really $50??! :-o

Hm, no, I don't believe it was there... There was a turtle, zonkey, zorse, llamas, a few different goats and another type of donkey... and some birds. But I don't think I saw the kangaroo thing. Neat that you were the first one to see it. :D

Yup, I saw all those you mentioned.
BTW, the little kangaroo thing is called a wallaby. It's so cute.

*waves to LL* When do you get out of school?

*waves back* How are things for you? :)

Quite well, thank you. In lack of Season 5 of Get Smart, I've been watching through Robin Hood, as you might know from having mentioned it. Reading through your post, you are a fan, too? :)

*waves back to Winty* How's life?

I want to pre-order Tenth Avenue North's new CD The Light Meets the Dark and I want to get Do You Feel (deluxe edition) by The Rocket Summer :) .

Ah, cool. And, have you noticed that the Square is picking up even without Ben? I wonder why...

lol I know ;)) . But our family's weird :p .

Every family is unique. ;))

*waves to Aslans Country* Welcome to the Square! You've completely got the idea of the place. :)
