Good afternoon to you, Miss Rosa! How are you doing this fine afternoon? :) Do you have any plans for Labor Day weekend?

*is very revived by the autumn breeze, thank you* ;) I'm back to wearing shorts again, so I'm hoping that the weather will call for jeans and hoodies soon. ;)) I do love summer, but I'm ready for the change. :)

Yes, yes, people are actually posting again! :D/ It might have something to do with the fact that it's a holiday weekend. I'll try to keep up on the Square once I go back to school, but I might end up returning to my lurking habits once more. 8-| School can be such a bother, you know? ;))

Indeed! By the time we're done, he'll have so many PM's that he will have to come back to the Square. He'll have no choice. ;)) I see that Ela approves of this plan, as well - so is Operation Flooding a go? B-)

*takes advantage of this moment and splashes in the fountain because it's something she's always wanted to do*

Oh, Ela! I was right about to hit submit and then your lovely post showed up. Welcome back! :)

I do like coffee - too much for my own good, but not without a good amount of half-and-half and sugar. :p

Ooh, Owl City's new CD? What do you think of it? What's your favorite song? :D

Coffee. ;)) It has no effect on me. I suppose that's a good thing? *shrugs* And as for the chocolate, it never hurts to make sure. I do know Pattertwig's Pal and Nick dislike it, and I'm sure there are others. Though I can't fathom such a thing myself!

I'm so happy for you! I've only had one best friend who "un-best-friended" (I guess that's what you would say? ;)) ) me. In our case, though, it never was resolved. I'm so excited that you and she are having the chance to work things out - and, weddings are fun (though I know I'm going to get crazily stressed out during mine.)

Operation Flooding? I like it!

A blanket, CD, and diary sound relaxing. Speaking of which, I'm planning to start another journal soon. *sigh* A real one. Like, one of those huge leather-covered ones with blank pages that you can write/put pictures in; sort of a scrapbook/diary, because I love being creative. :D

I'm doing well, thanks, Fireflower! No, I don't have any plans for the weekend as of yet - unless sleeping counts. ;)) Are you doing anything special?

Summer is lovely in its own way. I'm anticipating autumn for several reasons, but one of them is because it brings my favorite clothing and styles back into use. Cardigans, skirt+leggings+boots combinations, jackets, sweaters, hoodies, jeans, and scarves don't work terribly well in the heat. :p

Bah, school. It definitely has a way of ruining plans, doesn't it? I hope to continue to post, but that's what I say every year. And then I disappear into lurkdom for months at a time. I'm hoping to keep posting on the weekends this year - even if it means running by on Friday and out Sunday evening.

Operation Flooding? It's a go for me! *awaits Elanor's consent*

*comes back after eating a fried egg and a piece of toast* Yes, that was my lunch. In the middle of the afternoon. I had pancakes and bacon for breakfast, too. The weekends are kind of nice for those sorts of things. ;))

I'll probably be sleeping this weekend, too. ;)) Other than that, I'll just be spending time with my family, which'll be nice. And doing some more cleaning. :p

I totally agree with you! I think fall is my favorite season in terms of the fashion choices. Jeans, hoodies, boots, and Converse are my favorite choices. So are leggings - I'm looking forward to layering a pair of skinny jeans that I have with a dress. :) I like flats, too, since they're really versatile, although I only own one pair. :p

School definitely does ruin plans, although I enjoy it at times. :p I think I'll try to do the same thing as you in terms of posting on weekends, although I'm not sure how well it'll go. I'm doing a pretty good job today, though, which I'm pleasantly surprised about. ;))

*also awaits Elanor's consent, then takes a quick break to mop the kitchen*

Mmm, your meals sound yummy, Fireflower. I haven't eaten at all today.....I should probably go do that. ;))

Cleaning? Fun. My room is in dire need of a cleaning spree. It's coming to the point where my body is in danger by stepping inside.

Ohoh, YES. I loveloveloooooove flats, especially with skinny jeans or dresses. :x I own several pairs, one of which is almost worn through at the bottom. I've worn them so much.

Well, I guess I must head out. *le sigh* I need to scrounge around for some supper, and I've been online for awhile. :p It was lovely talking with you, Fireflower! Enjoy your evening, and perhaps I'll see you around here tomorrow.

*leaves a generous amount of root beer and vanilla ice cream, in case Cor drops by later on tonight*

Sorry for the break there - I had to listen to the whole CD, I sat outside for an hour, and then I was trying on a million dresses, to decide what to wear to the wedding. :P But here I am!! :D
We'd better set a date/time for Operation Flood, so we can all do it together. Any idea's? :P

I do like coffee - too much for my own good, but not without a good amount of half-and-half and sugar. :p

Yeah, I've pretty much started drinking coffee every day - either that, or Chai Tea. A hot drink is pretty much essential, even in the summer! I'm quite a bit different from you - I like my coffee very strong, with just a little cream and NOOO sugar. :P And burning hot. Yum!!!

Ooh, Owl City's new CD? What do you think of it? What's your favorite song? :D

I LOVED it!!!!! I think he's gotten a whole lot better than his last CD (though I loved it!) - he's gotten more depth, and I loved every single song!! It'll take me several more times through to find a favorite, though. I really liked Angels, and Alligator Sky, though!! :) How about you (assuming you've listened to it)? :D

Coffee. ;)) It has no effect on me. I suppose that's a good thing? *shrugs* And as for the chocolate, it never hurts to make sure. I do know Pattertwig's Pal and Nick dislike it, and I'm sure there are others. Though I can't fathom such a thing myself!

It doesn't usually have an effect on me . . *shrugs too* :P That's rather shocking, that Nick doesn't like chocolate - we may have to rethink Operation Flood!! =)) Just kidding.

A blanket, CD, and diary sound relaxing. Speaking of which, I'm planning to start another journal soon. *sigh* A real one. Like, one of those huge leather-covered ones with blank pages that you can write/put pictures in; sort of a scrapbook/diary, because I love being creative. :D

That sounds like a lovely journal. On and off, I use mine LOADS!! Every day, at least a page. But I just recently took a break of a month or two, so I'm still getting back into writing. I wrote 2 1/2 pages tonight.
All this talk of Fall clothes!!!!!! Sounds so lovely!! I'm excited to wear my darling jeans again, and nice new sweaters. :D I wore leggings throughout the summer, but I'd like to find more ways to wear them - I love them so!! And I'll look forward to wearing my nice fluffy brown boots. I want loads and loads more. :D And today I wore a scarf!! :D I have a heavy blue one that I've been waiting to wear - maybe now I will! And I have a lot of nice jackets that I look forward to wearing again.
Speaking of which - I really want to get some skinny jeans. I've always worn boot cut - I think my Mom thinks all skinny jeans are unappropriate, so I've stayed away from them. In a certain store (Kohls) they always are tight and ABOMINABLE looking, but in JCPenney, I've tried on some really nice ones, that look great, while still being modest. So I want some. :D
*is the hugest fan of flats* I just got some fancy black ones . . DIE FOR!! :P I want to wear them everyday!! But I love my heels too.

Umm, Vern, do you mind lighting the fire?

*Not at all... :) *

Ahh, much better. :D Thanks old friend!

*Quite welcome, Cor!*

*walks over to Rose and hands her a cup of coffee (from Starbucks)*

@ Rose. Well, obviously I haven't posted too much more in here over the weekend... :( I hate to say it, but Chat seems to have taken over Town Square for me. *dodges arrows, lightening and hot beverages*

Aw, thanks Rose! :) Yeah, you probably need to start bugging me every weekend to post in here. ;)) :p Great Expectations, eh? I regret to say I have never read it, though I may look into it now. :)

*Vern sends a HUGE dragon-y hug to his favorite Rose*

@ Ela. Actually, yes. I've done 3 so far.... :p I'll send you the links if you want them. :)

*enters, listening to Mendelssohn's Concerto in E Minor* <-- One of the best violin pieces out there, in my opinion. That was my dream concerto to play. ;)) And.....it doesn't help that that was the piece I heard Joshua Bell play....

Ahem. Anyway. Mortereve, SquareOnions! How are you all doing on this fine autumn day?

Did you decide on a dress, Elanor? What does it look like? :)

Operation Flood. Hm. Lessee..... It has to be on a weekend, or else I probably won't show up. Next weekend, perhaps? *is fairly flexible*

It doesn't usually have an effect on me . . *shrugs too* :p That's rather shocking, that Nick doesn't like chocolate - we may have to rethink Operation Flood!! =)) Just kidding.

Lol!

I'm impressed at how dedicated you are in journaling. Procrastination is my middle name. Plus, there's the fact that I've had my journal read by other nosy people too much for my liking. ;)) Ah well. Let's hope it doesn't happen this time!

I like leggings, too, but I can't pull off the cut-off ones. I mainly wear them with boots and a skirt/dress (or - which I looooove - a sweaterdress with a wide belt). :D Yes, scarves are a lot of fun! I didn't know how to wear them for the longest time, so I had a whole box of them that I never wore. I'm looking forward to trying them out in a few weeks!

Yep, there are plenty of styles of skinny jeans. Some of them are skin tight; pretty much like leggings, except without a skirt over them. Eh. If you want something looser, try to find a pair with thicker material - for example, jean or corduroy. Stay away from jeggings (jeans/leggings). ;)) I didn't like skinny jeans for several years, because the ones I saw were super super tight. But I absolutely love mine now, and they look great with flats!

Ooh, yay for getting the fancy pair of flats! I have stay away from extremely high heels, because my back is crooked and it's hard for me to stand straight and balance in them, so flats are The Thing for me. I have a black/white/silver checkered pair with a buckle over the toe, a brown plaid one with a lot of other colors mixed in, and (the newest pair) a dark gray flannel with a big bow over the toe. I love them to PIECES. :D

Okay. I'm done talking about fashion now. I ramble waaaay too much. :p

*accepts the cup of coffee from Cor (mmmm, thanks! You know how much I love Starbucks. xD) and snuggles next to Vern* A living hot water bottle! Perfecto.

*shoots arrows, lightning, and coffee at Cor* Shame on you! ;) :p Though I have to say, I would probably be the same way if I had fast internet. We still have dial-up, which means I can't go in the Chat Room unless I'm on campus. :( *tear tear* Well, drop by as often as you can and don't forget about us!

Yay, Vern! You give the best dragon-y hugs e-v-e-r. :D

Ooh! I like your new avatar, Cor.

*takes a seat next to the fountain and shivers in the rain, having forgotten her umbrella in Spare Oom* I'll be around for a few hours or so.

Good mortereve, all! How is your Labor Day going? :) I've returned to the Square two days in a row - this must be a record. :p

Cleaning? Fun. My room is in dire need of a cleaning spree. It's coming to the point where my body is in danger by stepping inside.

Oh, yes, I know the feeling. ;)) Thankfully, now that I have my own room, it's easier to keep clean. Both my sister and I have been able to keep our rooms relatively clean now that we're not rooming together. ;))

Ohoh, YES. I loveloveloooooove flats, especially with skinny jeans or dresses. :x I own several pairs, one of which is almost worn through at the bottom. I've worn them so much.

I have one pair, a raspberry color, that I really like, although they're rather uncomfortable. I don't wear them unless I'm trying to dress up. ;)) However, this fall I'd like to try some new combinations, and my flats will most likely come in handy. :p

We'd better set a date/time for Operation Flood, so we can all do it together. Any idea's? :P

Operation Flood. Hm. Lessee..... It has to be on a weekend, or else I probably won't show up. Next weekend, perhaps? *is fairly flexible*

A weekend is essential for me too. Next weekend should work okay, although I'll be rather busy. If nothing else, you all can carry on without me, and I'll just have to do a belated PM. ;))

Speaking of which, we're not doing a very good job at being secretive about this. :p

Yeah, I've pretty much started drinking coffee every day - either that, or Chai Tea. A hot drink is pretty much essential, even in the summer! I'm quite a bit different from you - I like my coffee very strong, with just a little cream and NOOO sugar. :P And burning hot. Yum!!!

I drink coffee every day, too - my mom has started making some for me each morning. ;)) I agree! Occasionally I like iced coffee, but hot coffee works just as well. NO sugar? Wow. ;)) I've tried coffee black before, and I liked it, though I prefer to have sugar and cream. :p And of course, drinking coffee hot is a necessity!

I agree, it's definitely very deep and mature, more so than Ocean Eyes, although like you I enjoyed that one a lot too. Angels and Alligator Sky are amazing. :) Last night I was trying to fall asleep while listening to Angels, and I couldn't help but sing along - "wake me if you're out there!" I hope I didn't wake up any of my family members! :))

I also really like Plant Life, Deer in the Headlights, The Real World, and Kamikaze. Though the whole CD is amazing too. :p

Skinny jeans can be too tight, but there are some that look nice and can really work well with your outfit. I myself found a really nice pair that isn't too tight, but still can be worn with dresses, shirts, etc. I got mine at Burlington Coat Factory. :)

I have stay away from extremely high heels, because my back is crooked and it's hard for me to stand straight and balance in them, so flats are The Thing for me.

I have to stay away from heels too, mostly because I don't have the coordination skills required to walk in them. ;)) So I mostly wear flip-flops, flats, or Converse. :)

*waves back to Cor, fellow Mod* The blue mod badge looks great. :)

I hate to say it, but Chat seems to have taken over Town Square for me. *dodges arrows, lightening and hot beverages*

I can see how that would happen... ymwhisle

I'll probably be on and off today, so I'll keep checking back! :)

Well Hello all my Square-ish folks! Has been quite a spell since I have posted in here, well just been in here for that matter! *goes off to check when his last post was* Wow all the way back in April! Quite a bit has happened in that amount of time! Even though this year has flown for me...

So some of the bigger things that have happened to me in the last few months (of which I may have told you some before).

First my sister Hannah got married on the 7th of July. Which was a last minute decision, so that was interesting (it happening so fast). But the wedding was great! It was actually in Alabama at some of our old friend's house. They chose there because it was kinda in between Florida (where we live) and Louisiana (where Nathan-Hannah's husband-lives). So we all met up there so Hannah and Nathan could get hitched, which they did.

Then I rode back with my brother his wife and kids here to Colorado where I have been working for about two months now. And in about two weeks I'll be headed back to Florida, which me and my little sister will be driving back. Yep driving, I got me-self a suv while I was out here! Pretty cool having a car of my own now! It is a Toyota 4Runner for those who want to know.
But anyway I'm going to fly my little sister up here on the 14th and then a couple days later we are going to drive back to Florida making different stops along the way.

Not sure if I told you all but I'm in the process of learning Spanish and then next year I will be going down to the YWAM-Peru for about a month and that should turn out to be a lot of fun!

So that is some of what I have been up to lately :)
And now I'm headed to finish my laundry....

That's rather shocking, that Nick doesn't like chocolate - we may have to rethink Operation Flood!! =)) Just kidding.

NO, NO, that's all the more reason for you to DO it. I need some support here. ;))

I like flats a lot. I also don't have enough coordination to wear heels. I like leggings under skirts and dresses too. My friend told me I shouldn't wear them for subbing though because it would make me look like a student. :(

Lows here are going to be in the 40s and 50s with highs int the upper 60s to low 80s. I wore jeans yesterday. :)

I will no longer be working at Walmart after a couple more weeks. I know it is going to be too much with subbing. Last year I kept pretty busy subbing so hopefully the same will happen this year. My sister is living with me now so I have help with the rent and expenses. Hopefully we will be able to make it. :-s

I hope everyone had a nice Labor Day. Our parents were here. We had lunch and then watch Night in the Museum.

Hello again! :D
Yesterday I went canoeing. Goodness. It was one of the best days of my life. I was in a canoe with someone I'd only met briefly 3 times, so it was fun to get to be friends with her. She's really lovely. :D IT was really really sunny and cold when the sun was gone, and hot when it was there. We went really fast, so were usually 2nd of 6 canoes, but we kept stopping to try to pick flowers along the banks, and then we'd get stuck, and start turning around. :P And so finally we saw a big sandy bank, and got up on it, and ran around picking flowers, and dropping them in the water. It was so beautiful, the most amazing time. :D
And tonight is my first rehearsal!! :D

@ Ela. Actually, yes. I've done 3 so far.... :p I'll send you the links if you want them. :)

I'd love that! :) I'm really interested in seeing them!
What's this I hear? Miss Rose is reading Great Expectations?!! SO AM I!! :D That's so awesome!

Did you decide on a dress, Elanor? What does it look like? :)

I haven't quite decided . . The one I want to wear is grayish/black, but it's really pretty, and for an indoor fall wedding . . Maybe. Otherwise I have a purple summery dress that I've worn several times . . Probably one of those. :)
A weekend should be good for Operation Flood - I don't get on too much, but I probably could. Except it would have to be late, if on Sunday. :)

I'm impressed at how dedicated you are in journaling. Procrastination is my middle name.

Well, it's not really dedication . . I kind of need to write, to let out my feelings. Lately I've been really happy, so I haven't needed it very much. :D Life is so wonderful, isn't it?!
I really want to get some sweater dresses, I have for a long time . . My sister is really good at doing scarves, so I've learned how to make them work. And I love them so much.
I DEFINITELY stay away from Jeggings, goodness, but just regular skinny jeans can be horribly tight, and it looks abominable. :P
I think I can pull off heels pretty well - but I don't have very many. :( Flats just take so little effort . . and they're so pretty. :D I have to black pairs, one with buckles, one with a ribbon. Then I have a little flimsy brown pair, with a little tie. And then some really pretty grayish white one's, with a big flower. And I think that's all. :D
Hey, whats better than fashion? :D

Mine too. :P I used to like Iced Coffee, but now I can't drink any of it. My coffee has to be very hot, and very bitter. I already said that, didn't I? :P

Exactly. I know, I LOVE that part of Angels, it's so amazing. But I love all of the songs, so like I said, I can't pick a favorite yet. I'll listen to it again today, I think. :)
*waves to Benjamin* Welcome back! :D

NO, NO, that's all the more reason for you to DO it. I need some support here. ;))

Ah well, then it's on. :P

Mortereve all! *speeds on to the catchup*

My sister and I used to share a bedroom as well, Fireflower. Bad result. Glad you have your own now! It does help to keep things in more order - or, at any rate, you have more space to spread out the mess. ;) ;))

That's too bad about your flats being uncomfortable. :( I'm still trying to wear in my newest pair. Band-aids are coming in handy.

Speaking of fashion.....I got THE cutest boots today. Asdlfkjdkslffh. *does a happy dance around the fountain, then realizes how little time she has and returns to scrolling through the posts*

Operation Flooding? Next weekend it is then. Fun-fun!

Speaking of which, we're not doing a very good job at being secretive about this.:p

.......Hadn't thought of that. ;)) Oh well, he's likely too busy to notice anyway.

*high-fives Fireflower* We non-heel-wearers need to stick together. ;)

*gasps* *gasps again* ....Ben? BEN! *hugtackles* Wow, it's so good to see you come by! :D It sounds like you and yours have had a busy summer. Your sister got married, eh? Fun! (Or maybe....stressful? Lol.) Is she the sister who had the brilliant proposal (which you told us all about in here, of course)? Or....was that another sibling....I seem to recall you having a lot of them.

What are you doing for work?

Oooh, and you're learning Spanish? I am as well. And how fun about Peru! I'm going to be going on Spain tour next year with the rest of my class. It should be a really neat experience. :)

Quite welcome, miss! :D *bows* Now why would my recent promotion affect how I treat members or especially you? I'm not that fickle, miss Rose, despite what Vern may say.... ;) :p

*coughrightcough* No comment on that. ;) :p

Wait.....you're reading GE as well, Elanor? Oh my goodness. How far have you read? *thinks both of the dresses sound lovely*

Well, I'm still impressed. It's a really good habit to let out feelings. I always bottled mine up inside, and that always ended badly. Hurray for happy spells! I've been in better spirits as well these past one or two weeks.

Okay. I had to skim horribly through this post, and I'm sorry if I missed anyone! No offense taken, I hope. Happy week to all! Cheers!
