*Quietly slips into the square*
Good mortereve (I still need to get used to spelling that ) everyone!
Well, it's been another extremely hot day Will this awful heat wave never end? I've been listening to "Tip of the Iceberg" by Owl City over and over these past few days, hoping the weather will change. Or at least, hoping I'll start to feel cooler. So far, nothing's happened
Oh well, I'll just have to keep listening to it
My sister's birthday is just a few days away...oh, I forgot, I still need to wrap her present
Bella, my sister came all the way upstairs to read what you wrote for her She misses you, too!
*Waves back to Elanor* How are you doing?
*Is tackled by Genny* Hello, hello! Sorry, the donuts are all gone now Next time I shall try my best to save you some
Well, I suppose I shall be going to bed now Bye everyone!

Good mortereve! I hope everyone is doing well on this lovely July day.
So, I've decided I want to run a marathon. I'm planning on hopefully doing it next year. I'll need some time to train, seeing how a marathon is 26.2 miles and I can only run about 2 right now! It's a challenge, but I like challenges.
So in light of this, I've been doing a lot of running, sprinting, and working out lately.
Catch up!
Poggy, I painted three of the walls a light gray and the fourth a darker gray (as an accent wall). The trim is white.
The accessories are black and pink, though. Yup. Kind of crazy, I know.
That sounds really neat! I can picture it right now. ^.^ Re-doing rooms is so much fun.
pogginfan, so nice to run into you here again!
Any success with the job hunt? Oooh, you surf? Cool! I'm with you in the love of water.
Thank you, it's lovely to see you too! How have you been? Well, I just applied at another Chick-Fil-A so hopefully something will come out of that.
I've been praying about it!
Yep, I'm learning how to surf! Yes, water is lots of fun! There's so many fun things you can do in it.
Mmmmm, those chocolates sure look yummy! *takes the dark looking one on top*
No kidding!! I am hoping I can do some more sitting around and reading . . but I have play performances starting in just a few weeks . . oh dear.
Haha, I hear you. But a play! Very exciting! What play are you going to be in?
Oooh, your vacation sounds like it was so much fun! I would love to visit DC some day. ^.^ What was you favorite thing you did there?
That really sounds wonderful!!
I think it sounds like you live in a pretty awesome place.
I know, I know . . the summer is almost gone now!!!
Haha, Florida is a pretty awesome place. But I'm more of a mountain person than a beach person, so I'd rather be living in Tennessee or Colorado or something like that.
I know, I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by!
Did someone mention sweet tea? Ohhhhh now I'm thirsty.
Mhmm, it's my favorite cold drink. ^.^
That's very neat you crochet, Bella! I've never had the patience, so I greatly admire those who do. Sounds like you've been making really cool stuff, too! The pillows sound lovely. ^.^
CS is doing very well, thanks! She's been busy with making a little tower thing for her novel, so she's satisfied.
(She's so orderly when it comes to writing.... I never go over those details.
)
Yay, I'm glad CS is doing well!! Haha, good for her!
I'm far from orderly when it comes to writing...I should probably work on that.
Oooh, yes, I love the sound of train whistles!! I love all the little things in life like that that just make me want to write. ^.^ I haven't really written much yet, just throwing around ideas and characters in my head. I'm sure it will all come together eventually. Hopefully in time for November at least!
Are you planning on doing Nano this year?
How's your summer been?
![]()
My summer has been excellent! How has yours been? What have you been doing?
*waves to Gods Girl* Hello! How've you been? I really like your avatar by the way, I just bought the new Owl City CD today!
Hello everyone!
It seems like to much has been happening in life to try to explain, or record it all. This Friday is our first Annie performance, so we're busy with rehearsals, and etc. Relations were visiting. And I've been doing a lot of stuff with friends. So very busy.
I LOVE your new avi, Miss R. Very pretty. Is it from anything, or just stock? Sounds like a lot of fun and exciting things have been happening in your life!!
Enjoy buying earrings!!
*waves to Lady Liln, and hopes that she will be able to join us again soon*
Ellie, no, "Bella" isn't my RL name... I don't know if I wish it was, since I love my name as it is, but it would be nice to have it as a second name or something!
I'm glad you like your real name. And Bella is your second name now!! That reminds me of one time when me and Dennie and Betsie went on a trip, and resolved to call ourselves Betsie, Dennie and Helga.
We promptly forgot. (oh, and I was Dennie, odd as it may be.
).
Haha, that's better--not letting petty suppositions tied in with Twilight stop you.
What time era do you enjoy writing?
![]()
With the little that I've written, I've done many different era's. 1930's, present, 1870's . . . I like the present best, because it's a lot easier, and I like it.
I know a lot of people who seem to be trying to live in a different era, and while there are certainly bad things about this one, there were with all of them.
Okay. "Nora" it is, then!
I thought so, that Dennie would be a swell big sister. Same with my and my sister, we do fight alot but are two peas in a pod.
*giggles at how you just called her Ellie*
That's the way it is!
*Waves back to Elanor*
How are you doing?
I'm doing very well! Busy and somewhat tired, but good. You?
Haha, I hear you.
But a play! Very exciting! What play are you going to be in?
It's the play Annie! And it's very fun. I'm exciting about opening night!!
Oooh, your vacation sounds like it was so much fun!
I would love to visit DC some day. ^.^ What was you favorite thing you did there?
It was REALLY amazing. I loved seeing all the sights, and the Art museum I went to, but the most fun I had, was one Saturday night, when one of my brothers friends came over (he'd stayed with us before), and we sat around on the rooftop lounge of our apartment, and relaxed and talked, and swam, and drank Sangria.
It was so magical. And then we watched fireworks from the roof.
Haha, Florida is a pretty awesome place.
But I'm more of a mountain person than a beach person, so I'd rather be living in Tennessee or Colorado or something like that.
I know, I can't believe how fast this summer has gone by!
I was a mountain person till I went to San Diego. Best place EVER.
Mhmm, it's my favorite cold drink. ^.^
My fave drink PERIOD.

I wish the Square moved fast again!
Ditto. At least a little faster, perhaps.
*Gorse and ceppault have noticed the slower pace of Ditto Town Square. "I know its not just me dear friend," said ceppault." Gorse replied with a gentle grunt, "Things change.*
“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
'Ello, all! I'm making a brief appearance from the Mod Moot. It's been far too long since I've dropped by the Town Square, so I wanted to say hello.
Or, as is far more likely, hye.
Life is finally winding down a bit for me. After this trip, I'm done travelling for a while, unlike the last few weeks--cramming a wedding, two camping trips, and a moot within the space of three weeks has made it interesting! Plus something more self-imposed, a writing goal, which I just finished last night.
And now I'm debating doing an actual NaNoWriMo in August to avoid doing it during the school year--it would be fun, but I'm not sure I can afford to lose that much sanity! (At least I already have an idea.)
Not a very long post, but I'm still a bit worn out. We haven't been getting much sleep, as you might imagine.
As soon as I get home, I'm going to sleep for a week... too bad I actually have real life and all.
Well, it was nice to come back for a while. I'm hoping to come back some more after I get home, but every time I promise that, I disappear again....

Did not know Miss Gymmie could sing so very well. Enjoyed listening.
And Aravanna is now up after hibernating for a bit.

“Safe?” said Mr. Beaver; “don’t you hear what Mrs. Beaver tells you? Who said anything about safe? ‘Course he isn’t safe. But he’s good. He’s the King, I tell you.”
They never told me when they made me go and pick black currant that I would have to sit and sort it later, if they had I would have put the big berries in one bowl and the small ones in another when I was PICKING them, now I get to sit the entire evening and sort berries *has very sticky fingers....and is getting her keyboard all sticky *
ahem good mortever everyone hope you are all having a wonderful summer
How is CampNaNo going?
![]()
It is going great thank you I won July and am now working on August, which is coming along a lot slower
I went to my grandma's today to help her harvest her berries....and now I get to sit and sort them *wonders where her sisters went, they should be helping me*
I still haven't decided where I am going to study I'm beginning to feel the pressure from my mom *wonders why she (wild rose
) was born so airheaded
*
well I had best go back to sorting, I want to finish the 1st bowl today so I can do the 2nd one tomorrow
*waves as she leaves*
always be humble and kind
wild rose, I hope the berry sorting goes fast. And good luck picking where you want to study.
I finished up my year working at an elementary school. I had to take a couple of classes to finish up my bachelors. I was glad to have a break from full-time school. Now in a few weeks it is off to graduate school.
This summer has been pretty intense with applying for scholarships and internships this next year. I have also been to 4 weddings, 2 baby showers, and one funeral. I feel as though I have experienced vicariously the full circle of life. To earn extra money I've been babysitting since school is out for the school year.

Agreed, Gazer. This humidity has been intense! Makes me look forward to winter and snow. Thank goodness for air conditioning.
Hullo, Gigi! It's lovely to see you in the Square! *mouth starts watering at the mention of doughnuts* And no worries, everyone is nervous their first time in the Square. You'll get the hang of it.
Ya know... i'd thank you, but I don't know if I should. You definitely sent a cold front over to me... but I was visiting another state at the time which had 90 weather!
![]()
How unfortunate. Are you guys still in the middle of the heat wave? *can sympathize* I'm surviving off sunscreen, water, and air conditioning. Autumn can't come soon enough!
*sends {HUGS} to the lurking Lady L*
My summer has been all right, wild rose. I'm finishing up my school, and then flying to Tennessee tonight (well.... you already know that, heh). I'm sorry to hear that yours has been boring! I know how that is. I get those days where I'm too lazy to do anything because I don't have to do anything, so I do nothing at all and then feel unaccomplished. Or else bored.
Those pillows sound lovely, Bella. Might there be a chance of pictures?
Yep, the heat wave certainly came through Michigan. Actually it didn't come through. It came here and took a vacation.
Re-decorating certainly is a lot of fun, Poggy.
And that is so awesome that you're training for a marathon! That must be intense. I'd like to do it, but I don't have the endurance to run that far. I don't think I could even with training.
The avatar is just from stock, Elanor. I was trying to find something to match my green text. Thank you for the compliments!
And yes, I'm loooving earring-shopping. The uncle I'm going down to visit in Tennessee collects a lot of jewelry, so I'll probably end up with an enormous earring collection by the time I get home.
By the way, I've missed seeing you in chat! Have you been around and I keep missing you, or are you not there as much now?
Oh my goodness - it's Rya! *faints* I doubt you remember me. I remember you, though - you and your pink, emoticon-covered posts. Good to see one again.
*sends a hug to Ara and Cep*
Sounds like you have been busy, Conina. Good luck with all of that.

Hello, everyone!
Ah yes, the square is still rather slow, unfortunately. Not much to reply to, which is part of the reason I haven't posted for awhile. Also, I've been insanely busy. Yesterday was my 4th Annie performance, the start of the 2nd and last weekend, and today the 5th.. The others went quite well, and were super fun - I have been overwhelmed with compliments in the last week! And now if I can just stop being exhausted . . .
*waves to Ryadian, Aravanna and ceppault* Sounds like you had fun at the mod moot!
lol, sorry about your berry picking mis-adventures, Wild. Hopefully you've got all that sorted out by now, hahaha . . .
Good luck on part 2 of Camp Nano, and congrats on winning July!! I'm all excited about NaNo, I've got a whole bunch of idea's.
*waves to Conina*

I thought so - but it really is gorgeous, and looks lovely on your green posts!

I haven't gone earrings shopping in so long . . . I'm afraid I have little money to use on that. XD
By the way, I've missed seeing you in chat! Have you been around and I keep missing you, or are you not there as much now?
I haven't been on nearly at all, so no, it isn't you. Hopefully when this play ends, I'll be able to get on more - I've really missed it!!

I have the day off today so I'm reading and on the computer and generally avoiding the humidity that plagues our fair land. My sister is listening to soundtracks on Pandora and we're both watching an Oklahoma storm system. Hopefully it will think Wizard of Oz thoughts and come north.

Love this bit. ^_^
Wild Rose, if you won July, does that mean you had to meet the 50,000 word requirement of November? If so that is really impressive! I've won NaNo once in my whole life.
(And why does it matter what size the berries are anyhow?)
This summer has been pretty intense with applying for scholarships and internships this next year. I have also been to 4 weddings, 2 baby showers, and one funeral. I feel as though I have experienced vicariously the full circle of life. To earn extra money I've been babysitting since school is out for the school year.
Intense is a good word for that. Did you have to travel for any of them? Hope the scholarship and internship work out well for you.
I'm surviving off sunscreen, water, and air conditioning.
LOL! When I hear the phrase surviving "off" something I think of eating or drinking it. I wouldn't recommend consuming sunscreen or anything that goes in or comes out of a AC.
*is hugged* Awww, thanks!
*waves back at Elanor*
Glad your play is going well! Have the audiences been reactive? That always makes it more fun! Do you finish up Saturday or Sunday?
Thank-you, Elanor! Your new one is very pretty as well. For some reason or another - though the forum is about Narnia - I rarely ever use Narnia-related avatars. Not sure why.
Ah, I don't have much money to spend on earrings either. I get mine for cheap. I'm a huge fan of good deals.
Oh man, it sounds like you've been swamped! I hope life slows down for you before school starts up again.
Lol, Ara! No, rest assured - I haven't been consuming any sunscreen of late.

Mortereve, all!
The following post is brought to you by the peanut gallery. The term for which, according to Wikipedia, originates from vaudeville and refers to the cheapest snack offered in the theater which the rowdy people in the cheapest seats would throw at the stage. (The Wiki page also notes not to confuse the term with "peanut allergy", which makes sense since the only difference is where the "g" is.) But rest assured, I won't be here to heckle you. I might still throw a peanut or two just 'cause, though.
Anyways, I'll refrain from commenting on anything related to heat waves, for reasons related to my location.
Ah, I don't have much money to spend on earrings either. I get mine for cheap. I'm a huge fan of good deals.
I know of a place where you can get rather nice pearl earrings for about $3 each or even less. Only problem is, that place is in China.
I finished up my year working at an elementary school. I had to take a couple of classes to finish up my bachelors. I was glad to have a break from full-time school. Now in a few weeks it is off to graduate school.
Sounds like quite the adventure. What field are you planning to go into?
They never told me when they made me go and pick black currant that I would have to sit and sort it later, if they had I would have put the big berries in one bowl and the small ones in another when I was PICKING them, now I get to sit the entire evening and sort berries
Well, they don't want you to pre-sort them and then they decide what you considered "big berries" weren't big enough or were too big...
Regarding NaNo, I'm planning on bringing back The State of Mass Confusion, which was my very first NaNo story (and win), back in 2007. They say that the definition of "crazy" is doing the exact same thing twice and expecting different results, which is kind of like what this is, except the story will be completely different and I'm still expecting to have the same result of finishing 50,000+ words. So, in other words, it's the exact opposite of the definition of "crazy". Which, in this case, isn't that much less "crazy".

Hello again!
Last night I got sick, and I had to miss my last performance of Annie. Talk about disappointing. Fortunately there was another girl in the orphan ensemble that could take my place, and since she did it one other time, I heard that she got everything right. I'm glad of that, and I'm glad for her, but I'm really sad I couldn't be there. Now I'll never see any of them again!
I'm looking at pictures of FB. These pictures are taken by (*takes a deep breath) the cousin of my cousins best friend. They stun me. I've looked at them a million times, but every time they still stun me.
Pictures can make you cry with joy sometimes!
Glad your play is going well! Have the audiences been reactive? That always makes it more fun! Do you finish up Saturday or Sunday?
Most of the time the audiences have been pretty re-active, but it varies every time. I think they were the most so on the opening night. And of course the one matinee performance was full of "cotton heads" (:P), and so was a little more slow. We finished last night, but we're taking down the set today. Except I'm not in the "we". Darn cold.
Thank-you, Elanor! Your new one is very pretty as well.
For some reason or another - though the forum is about Narnia - I rarely ever use Narnia-related avatars. Not sure why.
I always switch back and forth between Narnia and not Narnia. I've had N&S twice, and this is actually my first avi and sig that were from a Narnia movie. I love them so much!
Oh man, it sounds like you've been swamped! I hope life slows down for you before school starts up again.
hehe, I hope so too.
