Well, it doesn't look like I much catchup; but I still won't abandon my dear old square.
I have the most exciting news ever. Okay, kind of. I did NaNo last year, and . . I finished editing my novel, I got the cover made by friends, and I did all the submitting. And it worked. So now all I have to do is put in the shipping and billing info, and have it start shipping!! I've been waiting so long, that I'm incredibly excited. And I'm so relieved that I did it all in time.
*waves back to DotK* How are you doing?
*reads Lady Amalthea's post in amusement, and then waves* How are you doing?
*waves to Cep, and Stargazer*
The one who became the queen. The same actress played the part of a major villain in Harry Potter (if you don't know who Bellatrix is).
Okay; I can imagine it must have been hard to get used to her in those circumstances. But I liked her. Now what movie was that speech therapist also in . . AGH. Now I won't remember.
I looked it up. PotC.
@Ruby, I'm sorry you missed Operation MAD (or otherwise called Mod Day ), it was really fun!
I enjoyed your Tangled dream, though you must not have.
*giggles in amusement at stargazers and Ruby's salad dressing incidents*
@Cor, I'm glad you're enjoying (or you enjoyed) your rain; I love that song and movie!
Welcome, Jacqui!! This is a great place to come while you start to get to know you way around the forum; and everyone is so welcoming. I still remember my entrance here, with a warm smile. No, seriously.

A little bird mentioned your presence and I felt it important to come by my old haunt and help you feel right at home.
Thanks so much for the welcome, Ceppault! I can't imagine who that little bird might be Thankful for all the help I can get! And thanks, everyone else, for the sweet greetings.
Stargazer, I did find the Writers World thread, thanks to Silver, who directed me there. Thanks for the tip!
Which brings to mind a question: any chance there is a map of this wonderful land of NarniaWeb??? With all the graphically-oriented people on here, I'm sure someone has put their hand to drawing one!
Mortereve, all! *adds Mortereve to dictionary*
Spell check! *nods knowingly*
I have been anticipating a time to enter the Square, so I guess now is the time.
Happy First Day of Summer, all! And what a way to kick off summer than some nice, 97 degree weather, huh...? At least there was a nice breeze. Sadly, though, officially vacation starts next week for me, thanks to delays called strep throat and moving. Oh well.
*skims around and chuckles at Gazer and Miss R's amusing incident stories*
*waves to Elanor, cep, Ruby, and Cor* How are you all doing?
Welcome to the square, Jacqi!! That's a good idea--a map of NW. My sister was drawing a map of the Square, but a general map of Narniaweb as a whole would be very unique. Btw, I am Aslanisthebest, but you can call me AitB or Bella (not from Twilight).
*lingers around for a few* Oh! and I forgot a visit to the chocolate tree! I hope there'll be some chocolate pretzels on there.
I think, and I have the second opinion of my dear sister behind, we should have a Jelly Belly jelly bean tree in here. Or a shrub or something! *finds a strawberry cheesecake jellybean and plants it* (it's the magical kind that grows all the flavors. *winkwink* )

^^ That's so cool.
Hey everyone! It's been a long time since I've posted, so I'm not sure if anyone remembers me. But I thought I'd come in for a visit.
It's been really hot here lately, so today we sat around in the mall to get cool. (We don't have air conditioning, and it was in the 100s today, I believe.)
And I invented a new word! Mountie and Chloe and Lonnie and I were in chat, and we were talking about romances in roleplays. And I said they should be called RPomances. So there ya have it. The next famous word for Ditto Town! RPomances!!!!
...
Okay so it probably won't be famous. XD But that would be pretty cool.
I've been enjoying reading To Kill a Mockingbird as well. I've read parts of it before, but only the first chapter. This is the first time I've ever gotten past that point. Right now I'm on Chapter 5, after starting it late last night.
Has anyone else here read it?
~Riella
*yawwwwn* Yikes! I don't think my life can get any more crazy, honestly. I'm down in Missouri visiting my aunt's family, and my grandma got sick yesterday (she lives with them since my grandpa died). Oi -- talk about chaos. She had a bathroom incident all over the floor, was vomiting, couldn't move.... And then my aunt and I took turns staying up with her all night. *yawwns again* Anyhow. Thankfully, she's doing a little better this morning.
*proceeds with the catchup post*
I chuckled at that as well, stargazer. Ranch dressing in the face is most amusing. (As long as you're not on the receiving end of it. )
The Weasleys are such fun, Ruby! Fred and George are possibly the best pair of twins ever invented. And Molly is great as well (especially at the end of Deathly Hallows!). And Ron. And.... oh bother. I really do love them all! Other favorites include Snape, Sirius, Lupin, Tonks, Luna, Harry, McGonagall, and Neville.
*waves to Cor* Ugh, hope the humidity lessens a bit for you.
*gets dragged back into the Square by an over enthusiastic redhead...*
Well, I'm not rain drenched now, Little Red. And I've returned as promised... O.K, enough with the pulling of the jacket! It's vintage after all.
*Really Cor, you need to learn how to control your temper. It may be the death of you yet, especially when dealing with lovely young ladies of the Square. *
..... ... Eh, you're probably right Vern. As usual.*Of course! When have I ever steered you wrong? *
^ I assume you were referring to me. *splutter* My hair is NOT red, thank you. It's auburn. (Yes. There is a difference. ) And that's only because I dyed it! *splutters again* "Redhead." Pah!
Welcome to the Town Square, jaqui! Well, it looks like you've come to the right place. The Square is a lot of fun (one of the best parts of NarniaWeb, if I dare say so), and you'll most certainly find people here who enjoy reading, writing, and debating. And ah, yes.... a NarniaWeb map. I'm not entirely sure whether one's been made or not -- it's a good idea, though! *considers drawing one*
Conga-rats on finishing up your novel, Elanor! I can't imagine how exciting that must be.
Ah yeah, Geoffrey Rush. The speech therapist in the King's Speech. He was in PotC, yes; also Les Mis (fantastic story, if you've never seen or read it). He's a good actor!
*waves to Bella* Good to see you, Miss Not From Twilight! Hope you're surviving the 90-degree weather.
*squees at the Jelly Bean tree*
Ooh, and hello, Riella! To Kill a Mockingbird is a good book. I've read it countless times, and it's still a favorite. Even if you find the story a bit slow at the beginning, don't put it down. It gets better, and the ending is fantastic!

Quick catch-up....

@ Jacqi. Welcome to the Square! Allow me to introduce myself: My name is PrinceCor, though most just call me Cor. And this is Vern, my dragon.
*Greetings and well met, miss Jacqi. *
@ Gazer. Ooh, sounds nice! BTW, for the last day or so we have been getting plenty of rain down here. It's been wonderful!
@ Ela. The proper word would be enjoying, in this case. We are getting more rain this week, which is GREAT!
@ Bella. Doing very well. How are you and yours?
@ Ithy. I still remember you... kindof. Sortof... who are you again?
@ Rose. Oh dear... Glad your grandmother is doing better now. I know a bit of what going through all that is like....
*waves back* Well, rain and thunderstorms keep blowing in over the past 24 hours, so the humidity is down. Plus.... RAIN!!! (wonders how many times he has said that word in this post... )
Yes, miss. I was referring to you. *stumbles back slightly at Rose's outburst* Umm, I don't guess sorry would quite cover it? Seeing as how I'm a guy and not into hair care... stuff, I was unaware of the difference. Though I did now you had dyed it.
*shrugs* I guess being cute backfired on me....

Well, I guess that's all for now. Hope everyone has a good evening!

Happy First Day of Summer, all! And what a way to kick off summer than some nice, 97 degree weather, huh...?
Yikes, Bella! That's just too hot. We 'celebrated' with rain and tornado warnings; one touched down just a few miles from here, but it was pretty weak and no injuries have been reported.
Glad to hear you're getting rain, PC. It just keeps raining here; it's been a long time since I've seen it so green and lush. Nice and cool too; tomorrow we'll only be in the 60sF. Aahhhh....
Stargazer, I did find the Writers World thread, thanks to Silver, who directed me there. Thanks for the tip!
My pleasure, Jacqi! I look forward to reading about your writing experiences.
As far as a map of NarniaWeb, that's a very intriguing idea, but I think I'll leave it for the more visually-creative people we have around here. Any creative talent I have tends toward prose, I believe.
MissRosario, all those colored 'dittoes' made it seem like old times in the Square.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
Hey ho! It's been since April Fool's Day that I've posted here, and it's high time I come back. It's nigh akin to a second home in the Square, even after being away for awhile. ♥
*waves cheerily to all the Square Onions*
A very belated Happy Birthday to PrinceCor and lysander (although I sent them wishes elsewhere), and thanks to all for the wonderful surprise of Mod Appreciation Day. That was such an encouragement, and an extra-fun treat because of the unexpectedness of it all.
Say, doesn't Aidan/NN95 come to the Square anymore?
Gods Girl, please say hi to your sister from us all. We always enjoyed when she was on the forum, and now it's nice to have you. I hope Narnia Girl can come back some day. (Sorry to hear about her wrist problems.) I remember NG loved the Gaither Vocal Band. Does she still, Gigi?
RubyGamgee, congratulations on your school-doneness!
wild rose, fantastic to see you in the Square! I used to frequent it more often, and miss not getting in as much now, but try and pop in from time-to-time still.
Whoa, and would you look at that? Aravanna's back! You try and convince people to purchase trees? I sure wouldn't need much convincing. *loves trees of almost any type*
For any fellow Square Violinists, I may be going to an Itzhak Perlman concert this summer!
Is this a definite now, Louise? Sure hope so!
Oooh, are we talking John Denver. Love his oldie goldie songs!
Well, lookee that, cep came by too! *waves to Gorse as well*
Queen Susan, your vacation sounds so lovely! I enjoyed your photos on FB. (Tough about your eyes, though. That must have been very unpleasant.)
The King's Speech is indeed an excellent film. (I just fast-forward the excessive language part. I understand (kind of) why they did it, but it's still way too much for my liking.) Fun seeing "Bellatrix" playing the Queen Mother. I thought Colin Firth did a great job, but my favourite was Geoffrey Rush. He is simply awesome in whatever he does in the acting arena.
stargazer, that is quite the milestone ... your parents moving our of their home of 55+ years. How special the family pitched in and helped them to the next phase of their lives together.
Welcome to the Square, Maria! I hope you're enjoying your visits around the forum.
Hello DOT and !!! the Royal Lady, herself. (I wonder if she will have a tumble this time ... ) ......... She did! Wups, pardon the laughter, but it just Happens Every Time. dear Lady Amalthea!
*giggles sympathetically at 'gazer's salad dressing mishap* I remember once we had a container with three separate tubs on it, two of which had corn syrup and brown sugar in. Somehow one of our toddlers got hold of this and when I was on the phone, spilled the icky, gooey contents on the kitchen floor. He thought this was quite hilarious, but ... mom didn't.
Ooh, there's Bella too! And a new member named ... Jacqi. Welcome, welcome! So glad you're here. A wee birdie told me about your interest in NarniaWeb of late. Are you enjoying your time here?
A jelly-bean tree, Bella? How unique!
What a beautiful DITTO rainbow, Louise the First! I'm surprised we haven't seen any in our area this spring yet as we have had so much rain. One year we had a multitude of rainbows throughout the summer. It was almost tropical weather, as a storm would come up each afternoon, then as the evening came upon us, the sun would gleam out and catch those myriad of raindrops into a gorgeous bow. I could handle more summers like that. It wasn't overly hot either, hurrah!
And now, in keeping with tradition, I need to leave a treat for our dear Vern. Let's see ... How about one of these? (Or is that rather a bit much? ) Well, enjoy, Vern. Hopefully this will fill your tummy so you won't have room for any castle tapestries (or slippers). And if PrinceCor asks you for a taste, tell him I'll get him one of his own.
*waves to all she didn't specifically mention, then takes a brief dive and swim in the Ditto Pool*
Sozy clippers, all. (*misses Kingskid too*)
Good to be here again!

Hello again, all.
Not too much going on in life (since I last posted. ), but rehearsals for Annie! are going well. Last night was dancing . . and though I was better than maybe two of the 9 (or something like that) girls, I still sucked. I have had very little dancing experience. But it was awfully fun!
*waves back to Aslanisthebest* I'm doing very well, thank you! How about you? Oh, and do you have a nickname I could use?
*waves to Ithie* WB to the square; of course we remember you, and we've missed you! How's it going?
I've been enjoying reading To Kill a Mockingbird as well.
Has anyone else here read it?
I just finished reading that book for the first time; and I liked it, though not hugely. I hope you enjoy it!!
Conga-rats on finishing up your novel, Elanor! I can't imagine how exciting that must be.
I am, really, really excited. Counting the days till it's possible to arrive here.
Ah yeah, Geoffrey Rush. The speech therapist in the King's Speech. He was in PotC, yes; also Les Mis (fantastic story, if you've never seen or read it). He's a good actor!
Who was he in Les Mis? Javert? I've read that.
Sorry life is being so crazy; I hope it calms down soon!
@ Ela. The proper word would be enjoying, in this case. We are getting more rain this week, which is GREAT!

Ha, Cor. I was just messing with you. (Couldn't help but remember your poor luck with females in the Square several years ago, hah!). *sniffles at the puppy dog eyes* Itakeitallback, promise!
*shrugs* I guess being cute backfired on me....
Reminds me once again of the old days in the Square. But anyhoo, no worries. "Little Red" was a new nickname! And I love nicknames.
MissRosario, all those colored 'dittoes' made it seem like old times in the Square.
Made me think of Ti'ana, actually! She used to post some dittoes every now and then.
*squees to find a post of Louise the Second's!!!* You came too soon! I was going to "Ascio" you in my next post.
As for the Itzhak Perlman concert, I'm not entirely sure yet if we're going. My dad was planning to check out ticket prices, but I haven't been home for several weeks. Hoping for the best!
*loves rainbows as well*
Yup, Elanor, Geoffrey Rush played Javert in Les Mis. Fantastic movie. I haven't read the entire book, but I need to! It's such an inspiring story.
Sorry life is being so crazy; I hope it calms down soon!
Thank you, dear.

Wow! I get to meet johobbit for real in NarniaWeb!!!
I think it must have been that same wee birdie who told me about you! You've definitely been on our family's mind for a looooooong time. So pleased to actually get to talk with you!
Hope to chat more later, but 'tis off to second breakfast for us now.
Hello, Elanor, and thanks for the welcome back! The Square is such a cozy place to be ... and the Square Onions inhabiting it are even better.
I hope that concert works out for you, Louise the first! Do keep us posted. (Heehee "Accio hobbit" might have worked. )
*reeeaally likes Geoffrey Rush's acting*
Pretty blog, Ruby! And lovely banner, Bella!
Jacqi, thank you for the warm greeting and thoughts! right back! It's such a treat to have you here on the forum. My, that little birdie's been active. For sure, we'll talk more!
Second breakfast? I'm actually on Tea now, having had 1st and 2nd breakfasts already; also elevenses and luncheon. But I believe my time zone may be a few hours different than yours, so please no one think I'm a piggy or anything.

Hello, everyone.
*is drawing a blank about what to say * It's the first sunny day in a while. I was getting really tired of grey skies and rain.
Oh and for those of you who were talking about Bible memorization, I'm working on memorizing Mark.
Any chance we get the second part of the cooking show soon? Using a sword on a potato reminded me of a student in a cooking class. I saw him using a huge knife to peel a potato.
