Hi Riella! I always pop up in here right after you, don't I?
Wow, you finished LOTR! And I never even finished Fellowship... *goes off for a silent cry, because of long boring ( ) sequences of crossing long meadows etc...plus you did it the right way, Riella- books first (well at least mostly) and I watched the movies first. Thus spoiling me.
Hey, now I wish I were watching them for the first time again... Maybe we should have a marathon that's more like a daily sprint. We should watch FOTR one day, TTT the next and finally ROTK. You know, we need to get into the spirit again for Hobbit, right??

I just wanted to pop in here and wish EVERYONE a...
HAPPY EASTER!!
I've missed all my Square Onions. Hope you have a great day tomorrow! He is risen!
And now, for a bit of catchup to make this post legal...
I spent mine... strangely... buying cheese puffs, attics, and ranch dressing for an evil Queen... who I think was Mountainfireflower?
Guilty as charged. The cheese puffs (or curls? I don't know ), attics, and ranch dressing were all lovely. According to the Queen, anyway. Keeper of the Cheese Curls (or puffs), your service has been duly noted!
Mountie, if you don't mind my asking- what are you? JK, seriously what I wanted to ask was- how old are you? (couldn't resist throwing a LWW joke in there ). Whoever between us is older can be Pimpernel and the younger, Pervinca.
Well, if you look at my profile, that can tell you how old I am. I like your plan! (And that reference to LWW, I think it was, was awesome. )
Was that all? Goodness, the Square is slow nowadays. Hurry up!
*waves to Mel, Princess Anna, Elanor, Lucy of Narnia, Riella, Benjamin, pogginfan, Queen Susan, Miss Rosario, Aslan's Country, and anyone else I missed*
Now I must leave you all, but I shall return soon. Good mortereve, everyone! *disappears, throwing confetti as she goes*

*enters*.........................
*waves to Benjamin* Believe it or not, I do understand what you're going through with the not going to England - my brother is probably going this fall, and me and my sister are like "WHAT!!!!". I mean, he wouldn't appreciate it nearly as much as us, and everything, so it's really disappointing.
Yeah tis pretty sad for those of us left behind
*sympathizes with Ben* It would have been super cool if you could have gone to England, eh? I think I remember reading a little while ago that you were thinking about getting a car? How is that going for you? (People are now asking me, "So when are you getting a car?" I haven't the slightest idea what I'd be looking for... good gas mileage, for one, but... )
Yeah it would have been a blast.
Yep. Not in a big hurry to get one so I'm looking for a good deal and a good car...
Honda's are very reliable cars that is probably what I will be getting and they get on average 25 miles per gallon so pretty good gas if you just want a car and not like a truck or something.....
I've spent most of my time lately reading LOTR (which I finished, btw ) and ordering more Tolkien merchandise.
I have been reading a lot of Tolkien lately as well. I'm reading The Return of the King and just finished Two Towers and The Silmarillion, which is the History of middle earth which was VERY interesting indeed!

I listened to the audio books then watched the movies then read the books. Which I'm glad I watched the movie before reading the books because otherwise I would have been disappointed about the things they left out (the audio books left out some stuff as well, so better I listened to them before the books too)

..... I find it odd that the square has kinda died down a bit ever since I first started posting here
Oh, I get it now Princess Anna *waves*
Anyways, hi again everyone I really should post here more often... the square has become like responding to PMs for me, I like doing it but I have to remember to sit down and reply .... actually even though you've been on NW longer than me, i don't think i've met you before, pogginfan, and Benjamin
Wow for some reason Moutie I thought you were older than me I guess not.... or you could be more mature online/i could be more immature online than our real ages
.... actually, skiming over some previous posts, I had a LotR marathon a few weeks ago (ok i think it was last month but it feels like last weekend)... we actually got kinda lazy at the begining and skipped the rest of FotR after they went to Moria But yeah, FotR was probably the most boring book for me too Lu, I actually convinced my sister to pick up the series and today she said to me "am I the only one who sees a page long description of a road, field, or tree and then skip the whole thing???"
My weeks been crazy busy considering we were on spring break... i'm kinda having a love-hate relationship with going back to school tomorrow It's scary.
Hope everyone had a happy easter!

lol, with some of them I realized that they don't really remember or care for me, the ones I expected to, and then some people who I didn't think cared showed that they really appreciate and love me. It was - weird.
Oh, yeah, I've had stuff like that before... Hm. Glad you had fun at the play/s though! 😀
Thanks to everyone who congratulated me about my new nephew.
And, um, I guess that's all the catchup I have.
Oh, we leave on vacation to California the 2nd week of May! So that's exciting! 😀

*waves* Good Mortereve, ya'll!! Forgive my long absence... I was extremely busy with building a house and all that. Anyhoo. My Spring break was amazing and I hope all of yours were as well. I'd love to make this longer, but I'm feeling sick and am physically exhausted.

After being away far too long, the familiar figures of Cor and Vern enter the Square
Mortereve all! Wow, it's been forever since I've said that.... Sooo, how is everyone? It appears we have some new regulars around now. *waves the to those he has not seen around before*
Dear miss Rose reminded me a few days ago that we have not been in the Square for a long while, so here we are. Hopefully Rose will see this....
*Cor, it appears the chocolate tree needs.... pruning. *
That it does, Vern That it does.... *The Prince and Royal Dragon race over to said tree and begin doing a bit of Spring cleaning*
Alright, I think clearing out about five branches is more that enough.
*gulp.... six. *
.... six branches is more than enough then.
I'm afraid we must leave now, though I hope to stop back by over the weekend. Farewell for now!!

Hello everyone!
I don't have much catchup to do in here, but we all know that the square needs to get moving more quickly, so I thought I'd better post.
Tonight Betsie is coming over to our house, and then early tomorrow morning me, her, Dennie and my brother and Dad are all going to MI to visit my brother's college, because one of them has a concert going on. We'll stay till Sunday, and since Betsie will be there, the long rides won't be so very long.
Oh - and I'm considering starting a club for the 05 Pride and Prejudice - are there enough people who think it's the best one for me to do it?
Elanor, huh, that's kind of strange about the play. I didn't even know Archibald had a brother. Sounds a bit more like fanfiction than adaption. But I'm glad you were able to enjoy the music.
lol - I guessed Anna answered most of your questions. And yes, it did seem almost like a fan fiction - but an enjoyable, well written, beautiful one.
As for the "added mystical and Indian stuff", I don't think they added that for the musical. I could be remembering wrong, as again, it's been awhile... but I seem to remember at least HINTS of it in the original novel.
Yes, it was hinted at in the book, but not nearly as much - so they just took from a little, non-important them in the book, and made it really big.
Besides, that song, "Lily's Eyes"? GORGEOUS BEYOND BELIEF!!!!! EEP!
hehe - I do love that song, but my favorites were Winter is on the Wing (WOW!!!! And the guy who played Dickon in this play was MUCH better than the broadway guy - he's amazing! ), and Hold On. I partially liked that one because my friends sang it, but she has such an amazing voice and it's so pretty, I was sobbing and thrilling all over. I love plays . .
*waves to Ithie*
*waves back to Mountie* Hello! How are you? Thanks for the Easter wishes!
Yeah tis pretty sad for those of us left behind
No kidding - but I think since we're planning on going to a trip to D.C. this summer, my brother might not go after all. No, I'm not gloating.
*waves to Silver*
Oh, yeah, I've had stuff like that before...
Yeah, its weird - but I guess it teaches you who are the people you can really love and trust.
Okay, that was pretty long after all.

How can we liven this place up?? We need to get this place moving again...
*sits down on log and waits*
So...read any good books lately? Heard any good jokes? Watch any good movies?
*decides to stop saying 'good' in every question* XD
I was thinking about making my own RP here on Narnia Web...would anyone be interested in one where normal people go to Narnia (where else would they go?? )? Would that be 'legal' (for me to start one, and for it to involve Narnia)?
*stands up and paces*

Hey, SquareOnions! Did you all have a nice Easter? I was among the 19 people my parents entertained for dinner. It was fun playing with my 6-year-old twin grand-nieces. Good thing the weather was nice, so we could take the kids outside; the house isn't very big.
But it snowed here, briefly, last night. Go figure; it's almost May.
The hour is late and my bed calls; good night mortereve, all!
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
So, funny thing.
While looking at news online, my friend and I saw a headline about "Dueling Demonstrations in Yemen". Naturally, we thought this meant that in Yemen, they were holding demonstrations on how to duel.
...Turns out, it's the (political) demonstrations themselves that were dueling (in the opposing each other idealogically way).
Ambiguous English strikes again!

Good Mortereve!
Whew. This I'll be longer than my last post. I'm all caught up on sleep/health, so there's no restrictions on the time I spend online.
As most of you know, I spent my spring break in Mexico building a house for a family who had literally nothing. They had been living with Luz's (the mother) stepmother since their baby, Jesus, was born. Jesus is nearly 3. For me, the trip was very eye opening. Here in the US we have so much and people only hours away have nothing...
Anyhoo, I'm home safe and sound now.
I hear something about Lord of the Rings a few posts up...
.... actually, skiming over some previous posts, I had a LotR marathon a few weeks ago (ok i think it was last month but it feels like last weekend)... we actually got kinda lazy at the begining and skipped the rest of FotR after they went to Moria But yeah, FotR was probably the most boring book for me too Lu, I actually convinced my sister to pick up the series and today she said to me "am I the only one who sees a page long description of a road, field, or tree and then skip the whole thing???"
I used to do that, too. I read LotR for the first time when I was 9, so it kept getting pretty boring. It wasn't until about three years ago that I really got into LotR and reread and reread and reread and reread them... I'm a huge LotR geek, so I own just about every Tolkien book that has anything to do with Middle Earth... Strangely enough though, I have never visited the Tolkien thread in the Spare Oom.
*waves to her sisters and dear friends* How are you all?

*Cor and Vern enter the Square after spending most of the day decorating the castle and hunting*
Whew, I'm worn out! Almost 3 whole hours of hunting and we get.... nothing.
Anyway, Mortereve to all SquareOnions! I hope everyone is having a splendid Saturday. So far my birthday is going off splendidly, though I'm really looking forward to tonight.... the official party!!
Not sure what we're going to do about meat though...
*I think Lady A mentioned something about getting roast beef sandwiches from the MoonSong cafe if we were not able to catch anything. *
Well, hopefully they have enough supplies for 30 something sandwiches.
*Are you implying that I eat a lot, sir Cor? Hmmm?*
Why would I do a thing like that? *coughyoudoeatatoncough*
Well then! I'll just have to return Mr. Fogerty and miss Swift to their respective concerts then....
Wait, you got John Fogerty and Taylor Swift to come perform for my birthday tonight??
*Yes, but now that you insulted me.... *
No! Wait! I was joking! Honest!! This time I mean it!!!
*I'll think it over on our way back to the castle.... *
Very well....
I'm afraid we must get back to the castle. Farewell to all!
*Cor and Vern exit the Square, stopping by the chocolate tree on their way out for "energy food"*
