Mortereve all!!!

I am feeling quite perky this mortereve so I will warn you in advance this might be a long post, cause when I'm perky I tend to talk a lot....well, I talk a lot anyways, but....yeah.

I saw Meggamind in 3D when it came out, and I didn't realize how much I liked 3D movies. It makes it much more realistic.

Queen Susan, I wasn't hating VotDT. I think there were pros and cons to it.

Miss R.!!! It is good to see you around....I say that, but you've probably been around more than I have.

Fireflower we didn't get snow either, but I think it was below 50F. Now it's back up in the 60s F.

I have to agree with you Miss R. about liking Reep and Eustace the best.

Anyways...I didn't type as long as I thought I might which might have been for the better, but that said, I'm still typing. I'm hoping to make some shortbread cookies sometime today, but I'm waiting for Dad to bring home some butter. ok I shall end this random post. :) I hope y'all have a wonderful and blessed Morterever.

Ha, Ti'ana, I haven't been around much at all the last several months weeks. I come and go... more often the latter than former. I still enjoy dropping in once-in-awhile, though. It always makes me think of those days when I would post here all the time. Long posts, too. ;) Now I'm getting lazy. I make a tiny catch up post every several pages and even make my posts bright green so I can find them easily. :p

They were amazing! I loved the part where Eustace ran into the minotaur.... and then fainted. :p

It's in the sixties? Man. It's twenty-five here. :| I like the winter and I like snow, but I don't like coats... so cold weather is a problem for me. I won't wear a winter coat unless I have to, which is usually never, so I go out without one and then get sick. :p Fun times.

Winter is a lot of fun, though. It's almost my favorite season of the year. I mean, when else do you get to drink hot chocolate and go sledding and ice skate all the time? ;)

Mortereve, all!

Well, just hanging around, painting our bathroom and enjoying Christmas break. We've been able to watch a lot of Pixar films and one Disney Animation... I love those two quite a lot! For the record, the two Pixar films which never get old: Cars and Ratatouille. Not necessarily my favourites, but they just don't get old. Monsters Inc., as well. That one's a scream.

The Disney Animation was Lilo & Stitch. No matter what anyone says, I loooove that one. :P

*snags a gingerbread cookie from MountainFireflower and waves to Rose-Tree Dryad, whose usernames I fancy very much, and who I have not met yet* By the way, you can call me AitB or Bella (not from Twilight)!
Might you both have a nickname? ;;)
*wave jovially to Melian_Mia,Riella, Shastafan, and Queen S* How are you all doing?

*skims*

It's lovely to see you here, too, Mal! Even though I did see you in chat, but it is quite different in the square. So...what've you been up to lately? =]

Heya, Kathy!! Thanks! :) How've you been doing? :)

*waves to Mel*! How are you doing? I've missed talking to you!

And 'tis nice to be back and see my pink on your rainbow-post, Lady L! Ohh...Daylight Savings time. That explains it. :P How's you been latley? =]

*waves to everyone else and mumbles some sorry for this skimming, scanty post and then bids adieu*

I shall be around for a while, probably more. I messed up one wall in painting, so C.S. has told me just to stay around and paint sea shells or something on the finished walls while she does the rest. I painted an orange-pink fish and will stop because my art abilities limit me from going forward. Ah, well.

Today I got to see VDT for the second time...and dragged seven of my friends with me! We had a blast, sitting in the very top row of the movie theater. I think I enjoyed the movie better the second time around because the first time I kept paying attention to all the little things that bugged me, while this time I was a little more relaxed about it all. I think my friends enjoyed it!

So there's only two days until New Years! I can't believe how fast this year flew by - it's been one of my best years, definitely. And I'm so used to writing '10 at the tops of all my papers that it'll probably be February before I finally remember to write '11. ;))

Alright, time for catchup!

Silver, Christmas cookies are almost always delectable! I love them!

Me too! :D I've been addicted to gingerbread cookies! And I didn't even like gingerbread until now! ;)) But now there's only, like, one left. Very sad. :((

Aw, I'm sorry you didn't like VDT, Riella. :(

So, what kinds of books do you write?

Young Adult fantasy! :D Your classic "teen hero runs away, meets some friends, and has to save a bunch of people" story. ;) The problem is forcing myself to sit down and work on it. *sigh*

Well, I got the BBC version of Narnia, and I'm having the hardest of times daring to watch it 'cause it feels so weird!

Haha! ;)) I really want to see the BBC versions! I've heard so much about them, but I've never seen them. Hmmm... *wonders where I might be able to find a copy*

*waves to Elanor* :)

*waves to Queen Susan too* :D

*and also waves to Lucy of Narnia* ;))

How are all of you?

Oh, not at all. I had just put new wheels on my roller-skates and the journey was quite speedy indeed! Only I found braking on the cobblestones of the Square to be quite difficult and ended up crashing into the fountain.

Oh dear! :-o I hope thou art not too wet? *gives towel* Perhaps we should find someone to repair those bumpy cobblestones...

*waves to Cor and Vern* Greetings! I'm glad you two enjoyed How to Train Your Dragon - that's one of my favorite movies too! I got it for Christmas. :D

*waves to Ti'ana* Hi! :) That's neat that you're playing around with photography! I'm a picture-addict - I take waaayyy too many.

I've had a splendid day -- went to see The King's Speech with my dad and grandmother (wonderful movie), and am now eating homemade shortbread COOKIES! Mmm.

Sounds like fun! :D I've never heard of that movie before...I'll have to look it up! Yummy shortbread! I don't think I've ever had homemade shortbread cookies before.

You're reading Inkspell, Silver? I read that several months ago and enjoyed it quite a bit. I still need to get around to the next book, though. I was planning to start on that during break, but I've been too lazy. Sleeping and sitting around the house is about all I've been doing for the past two weeks.

Yes I am! In fact, I just finished it! And all I can say is: :-o What an ending! It's a good thing I have the next book ready or I think I'd explode. ;)) You should read Inkdeath while sitting around the house! ;) But it's okay, I've been sitting around most of my break too. Which reminds me, I still have math homework to do...blah.

*waves to Libby* Good to hear you had a good Christmas!

*waves to Bella* I love Pixar movies! :D My two favorites are WALL-E and Toy Story 3, although they're all excellent. Are you excited for Cars 2?

Well, guess that's it! Off to start reading Inkdeath. :D

Welcome to the the Square, The Rose-Tree Dryad. I assume you are the one everyone is calling "Rose"? ;)) It's nice to meet you! I'm glad you could make it to Ditto Town. :)

It's nice to meet you too, and thanks for the welcome! :) And I am. At least, I think I am. Hmmm. I sense the presence of mass-confusion-yet-to-come. :P In the time I've been on this forum, my very convoluted username has inspired the nicknames Rose, Rose-Tree, Rose Dryad, Dryad, RTD, and TRTD, and I answer to all of 'em. "Hey you!" is perfectly acceptable as well. ;)) Ithilwen still harbors the belief that someday I'll become one of the Spoiled Rotten and thus calls me Villain-to-Be, but don't pay attention to her. She's delusional. ;)

*snags a gingerbread cookie from MountainFireflower and waves to Rose-Tree Dryad, whose usernames I fancy very much, and who I have not met yet* By the way, you can call me AitB or Bella (not from Twilight)!
Might you both have a nickname? ;;)

Pleased to meet you, Bella! :D

Heehee, it's funny that you should mention that you like both of our usernames, because before I joined NarniaWeb back in August, I was planning on using the username Fireflower. And literally the day I decided, "OK, that's the name I'm going to use, and I'm going to stop worrying about it" (I'm ridiculously picky about my usernames, especially when I've lurked somewhere for a long time! ), I happened onto one of Mountie's posts and my plans were dashed. :P I could have still used the name Fireflower, but I figured I cause enough confusion on my own without having a name similar to somebody else's. ;))

But it all turned out all right, because not too long after I thought up my current username by putting together two of my favorite things from two of my favorite books, the dryads in the Narnia series and the rose-trees in The Secret Garden, and have used this username happily ever after. ;))

Anyway. /end of impromptu storytelling time. :P

Most of the people on NW Chat just call me Rose, but I have several nicknames. In no particular order—*takes a deep breath*—Rose, Rose Dryad, Rose-Tree, Dryad, RTD, and TRTD. :D

Oh, and it's good to meet another Pixar fan! :D

Monsters Inc., as well. That one's a scream.

I really need to get desensitization therapy for my paronomasiaphobia. (Fear of puns. ;) ) I think my groaning is worrying my family. =))

Oh dear! :-o I hope thou art not too wet? *gives towel* Perhaps we should find someone to repair those bumpy cobblestones...

I thank thee muchly! *Mops hair with the kindly given towel* No, the cobblestones art fine, dear friend; their unevenness lends character to this fair Square! :D Besides, I wilt still crash into stuff just as much anyway. I always findeth a way. ;)) I think mine clumsiness comes from being tall, and of being much used to having one's feet planted in the ground. Mine chronic absentmindedness mightst have something to do with it as well, mayhaps. ;)

Good to know you love Pixar, too, Silver! :D They always make the best movies. I have to admit, though... I can never, ever focus when watching WALL-E. The CGI is outstanding, but as far as the film goes... All the Toy Story's are wonderful! My favourite is really hard to say, though. It's more like favourite in different slots like "best to watch on a roadtrip" etc. etc. [/ramble] For Cars 2, I don't know... After seeing the trailer, it looks like it's going to be a little different feel than the first, which isn't bad, but I guess we'll see a little later! I'm really excited for Monsters Inc. 2 and the new Princess one, Brave, though.
All the best reading Inkdeath! What did you think of the first two? :)

Likewise pleased, Rose-Dryad. (May I call you whatever comes to mind, if you don't mind. :P)
Hehe, that's interesting about both your nicknames! But I really like them both-- they give very pretty mental images. Mountains, fire, flowers. And Rose trees and dryads.

ROTFL, I didn't even realize the pun I made. Thanks for the laugh. :)) Which is your favourite Pixar?

Well, I'm off to watch Monsters Inc. with my sister! Tata!

Good evening to all! Evening for me that is, and possibly for some of y'all too though for that matter.

Miss R., I'm worse than you. It's been a couple of months since I've posted.

I don't like winter generally. A couple days of it is fine, but then I wanna go back to warm weather.
That said, we don't have snow here, so no sledding or ice skating. We do get Hot chocolate though. :)

*waves back to Silver* I don't think I have met you, But 'tis good to finally do so. :)

I take way to many photos to. It is so easy to do with a digital camera, but I figure if I take more then I have more to choose from when I'm trying to find some that I like.

Silver, I found all my BBC Narnia movies at a thrift store. They are VHS though. I'm not sure if you can get them on DVD....actually now that I think about it you can get them on DVD, cause my sister has them, but I'm not sure where.

On a different note, I never liked Wall-E that much *dodges thrown objects from various locations of the square*. I do like other pixar films though. I saw the first of the Toy Story movies. It was pretty good I'd watch the other ones just out of curiosity. Wait!! They're coming out with a Monster's Inc. 2? That's totally cool. I loved the first one.

Well, I'll probably be around for most of tonight unless I decide to make cookies tonight, but I think I'll save that for tomorrow.

Greetings, everyone! It feels like so long since I've posted, but it's only been a few days, and now I get to do a quasi-mini-thingamagummy-catchup post, just like Rose! ;)

Oh, and by the way, the snow that was SUPPOSED to come at Christmas is coming tomorrow. /:) Figures. :p

The day after Christmas is always sad for me, just knowing another 365 days till the next one depresses me

I know! :( The sad part is, I didn't start truly getting into the Christmas mood until Christmas Eve, and by then it was pretty much too late. :P I'll try to do better next year. ;))

I'm nearly finished with HHB on my quest to reread the Chronicles in both orders.

Ooh, how is that going? Which order are you on right now? That's a neat idea... one I might have to try sometime. ;;)

I have the first one, and Perelandra. I still need to get That Hideous Strength though...

I have The Space Trilogy that was given to me by a friend of a family. It's an older set, but I like it. I just haven't picked them up yet. How are they?

*mourns the loss.. then moves on*

Moment of silence. :-$
Okay, now that's done with. :p

Oh, well that's encouraging. I just don't really know what to think anymore, and to be completely honest, I don't really care. I'm sad that I don't think it can live up to the first two, for me, but I'll place my hopes in SC, and cross my fingers that it's getting made.

Yeah, that's kind of how I feel. Oh well, maybe VDT wasn't as good as the last two (although I liked it better than PC), let's hope they do better with SC. I still liked VDT though, but I know a lot of people who didn't. So it just depends on your opinion... and your expectations. ;)

Hehe, I'm glad you like it. And yeah, I totally know what you mean about Everything. I listen to it a lot.
Tell me what you think when you do!
Hmm.. well, I can't really say the same for RK, because I actually don't own their first two albums , but I think that's mostly true for me as well. I think Lifehouse said themselves that their first album is probably their best. I wish they'd do another like it, though.
No, I can't classify music to save my life, so I wasn't talking about anything it particular. Just 'Lifehouse'-ish music, I suppose. Me too, I pay more attention to the lyrics, honestly.

Something tells me the Saga of Long Quotes isn't quite dead yet... :p
Oh, I definitely will let you know! I love Lifehouse. :D
Actually, I don't own RK's first two albums either. ;)) The only ones I own are Mmhmm, Two Lefts Don't Make a Right But Three Do, and Five Score and Seven Years Ago. That's what I meant by older stuff, sorry for the confusion. :p And I guess I do like all of Relient K's stuff, but my favorites usually end up being their old stuff (old meaning... before their most recent album. ;))). The only thing I've heard off of Forget and Not Slow Down is ... well, Forget and Not Slow Down. :p I just can't bring myself to buy that album, for fear it'll be disappointing in comparison to the albums I do own.
I do have a confession... I don't know that much about Lifehouse. I haven't even heard their first album... or many other songs besides Everything and You and Me. But I love them as a band, and I am definitely learning! ;))
Oh yeah, I definitely understand what you mean, and I have a hard time classifying music as well. I pay more attention to the lyrics too. :p

Yeah, they are, especially on the higher strings. *winces at imagined pain*
I don't think you want to be the next Justin Bieber, really.
Oh, me too. But it's fun.

Haha, yes. The two highest strings hurt the most, at least for me anyway.
Yeah, I was thinking that... :p It would be hard to be in the spotlight. Justin Bieber isn't BAD... he's pretty talented actually, but he's just not my kind of music. ;))
Yes, it is fun. I just love music... *happy sigh* :D

Yep, me too. lol, if only.. He came to Japan, in November, but I didn't know about it until a few days before, and it was all sold out.
So you got OE for Christmas, right? How do you like it?

Oh, I hate it when concerts get sold out like that before you even know about them. Especially if you're in Japan... I'm not, but I imagine not as many bands tour there as they do in America. Am I correct in assuming that, or can you set me straight? :p
Actually, no, I didn't get OE for Christmas, sad day. :(( But I did get some money and a gift card, so maybe I can... I got Relient K's Five Score album, and both of Tenth Avenue North's albums. I forgot how much I love those two bands... :)

Well, I like to think so. Thank you! PlotWriMo is a series of steps spread through a month where you think about what you wrote and I found that it's helped me to identify the problems in my draft. I'm not sure yet what needs to be done to fix them, but finding the problems is a good start.

You're welcome! :) Ah, okay. Thank you for telling me about it! I'll probably do that once I finish my novel. I think I'm ready to actually start writing again. ;)) Did you have a good Christmas?

Maybe someone is trying to teach me a lesson. *looks around suspiciously*

Oh, I hope not. :| I can share some of mine, if you would like?

Oh dear. Glad you realized we weren't all loonies! (Or, at least, were lovable loonies.)

Yes, I'm glad I realized that too. ;)) Although I am somewhat afraid I am becoming a lovable loonie as well... :-s ;)

Well then, next time I'm baking, I'll be sure to whip you up a batch of virtual cookies! What kind are your favorite?

Aw, you are so sweet! :p I loooove chocolate chip cookies! And a glass of cold milk to dip them in. ;)
I would like to make you some cookies - what kind do you want? ;;)

Yep! That would be the fantasy part. You'd have to read the book series to understand fully...it's a very good story.

Haha!! I figured that was the fantasy part coming in. :p They sound good! I'll have to look into them. :) Have you ever read the Dragon Keeper Chronicles by Donita K. Paul?

Fireflower, Jo was musing aloud about what to call us who frequent the Square. She knew of a city that called their citizens something-onians and suggests Sqaureonians, but then said that was too much like Square Onions. Volia, a nickname was born.

Nursing students don't have much of a life outside of college work. At least, not a very interesting life.

Oooh! I love the story. :D Thank you for enlightening me! ;) It made me giggle. ;))
Oh, you're a nursing student? Awesome! Just out of curiosity, what are you studying for? (I guess I mean, what kind of a nurse are you studying to be? I don't know the technical term for it. :p)
By the way, I absolutely love your multicolored posts. They make me smile too. :)

Are any of you ever so obsessed with something (I call it Obsessivus Insanitus) that it's really difficult to have it any other way?

Yes! It's like me with Robin Hood. I only like the BBC show version, although I guess I can't truthfully say that since I've only read part of the book and haven't seen any other film adaptations of it. ;)) BUT! I have a feeling it would be that way, if I ever saw any other versions. The whole reason I haven't watched any of the BBC Chronicles (aside from Silver Chair which I actually somewhat enjoyed) is because I like the Walden versions so much.
By the way, I love your term - Obsessivus Insanitus. ;))

No, this is my first time of attempting anything of the sort. That made it doubly exciting! Yes, lets! Which reminds me that I should get around to editing .
that is my nickname! Thank you for using it!

Oh, that is awesome! Congrats! I'm so glad you made it! Do you plan to do it next year?
Awesome. I like being editing buddies... despite the fact that I haven't even FINISHED my novel, much less started editing it... :p

Ooh, I like it! *laugh* Oh, and I've heard "Lucy" by Skillet... (you asked someone else) It's one of my favorite songs by them actually...

Good, I'm glad you do like it! It's a pleasure to see you in the Square again!
Oh yes, I do like that song. (I'm sure Liberty Hoffman would agree. :p) It's also one of my favorites by them. Do you like Skillet, then? And what other music do you like to listen to? I like so many artists... Relient K, Skillet, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, Vitamin String Quartet... my tastes are varied. ;))

*waves to Lucy of Narnia* Hello! Great to see you in here! Welcome to the Square. How are you?

Verily, it ist good to see thee outside the hallowed walls and hallowed halls of the Monastery and the dark, dank chambers of the Lair! OK, that's all the psuedo-Old English I'm going to let permeate this thread; I'm afraid I have to draw the line somewhere, however much I enjoy talking like that. I am very good, and very glad that I no longer have to traipse around with a blindfold, banging into things, in my efforts to avoid spoilers. Still walking into things just as much as ever, though, blindfold or not.

Oh, my dearest of dryads, it is very good to see you here, outside of the Lair & Monastery as well. (I'm not even going to attempt Old English. :p) I know, Old English is fun to write in but hard. And it takes a lot of brain power. ;)) The Lair has much easier vernacular, mostly because it consists of evil laughter. :p
Haha, that made me laugh. ;) I totally understand - I am glad my spoiler-filled days have come to a close, for now anyway. I cannot say whether I shall join the Monastery or the Lair next time. I am still contemplating it, but I must say, the Monastery looks less daunting than it did earlier this year. ;))

"Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional."

Haha! That quote rocks! It's my new slogan. ;)

@ Mounty. That's what everyone else calls me, so that's perfectly fine.

I know others have voiced a certain amount of disdain for Lucy's subplot, but I personally found it O.K. The filmmakers thankfully did not take it in the direction I was afraid they would, so I'm O.K with it. What are your thoughts?

Oh, good. Does Vern have a nickname? ;)
Yes, I feel the same way you did. It could have been a lot worse, and I think that it did add a lot to the film. I liked the message it sent. In my opinion, a lot of the changes they made in VDT are things that were already in the book, but very lightly touched upon, such as the Dark Island. So they aren't as big of changes as we thought. :)

Aw, that's disappointing about not getting any snow for Christmas, Fireflower. And it was in the 50's? Bummer! Glad you had a nice holiday nonetheless, though.

:) It wasn't too bad, now that I think about it, but Christmas could have been so much more magical if it were white. I don't think of sunbeams when I think of Christmas. ;)) Yes, it was lovely. Did you have a good Christmas??

Fireflower we didn't get snow either, but I think it was below 50F. Now it's back up in the 60s F.

Hello, Ti'ana! It's lovely to meet you. :) How are you doing?
60s?! WOW! That is some nice weather you're having! It's been chilly here and supposed to snow. ;))
I really miss summer... :p

*snags a gingerbread cookie from MountainFireflower and waves to Rose-Tree Dryad, whose usernames I fancy very much, and who I have not met yet* By the way, you can call me AitB or Bella (not from Twilight)!
Might you both have a nickname?

Bella (not from Twilight :p)!!! I've been wanting to meet you! How are you?? Thank you for complimenting my username, I like yours very much too, as well as your nickname (I love it but wish it wasn't associated with Twilight.) Where did it come from? Or is it your real name? :P
Indeed, I do have a nickname... rather, several. You may call me Mountie, Fireflower, MFF, Fire, Flower, Fireflower, Fie, Miff, or whatever else you can come up with. I'm not picky, and I do love adding to my nickname collection. ;))
Oh! And may I join the club of those who love Pixar? They're like my favorite movies ever!

I could have still used the name Fireflower, but I figured I cause enough confusion on my own without having a name similar to somebody else's.

:-o Seriously? I stole your username? Aw, I feel bad now. ;)) Well, great minds think alike, I suppose! And I do absolutely love your username now, it's beautiful.
Funny, now that you've told me that, I feel like we're kindred spirits. ;))

Hehe, that's interesting about both your nicknames! But I really like them both-- they give very pretty mental images. Mountains, fire, flowers. And Rose trees and dryads.

Aw, thanks! Yours gives a great mental image too - Aslan. And that's always a good thing, right?!
Also, your nickname, Bella, reminds me of Beauty and the Beast. ;))

*whooshes out a breath* Okay, I am not staying away that long again. Things have definitely picked up in the Square... but I'm lovin' it! ;)

Mortereve y'all!!

I hope y'all are all doing well. I'm in the process of making the cookies that I was going to make yesterday. Instead of making cookies I went to my grandparents house for a couple of hours. It was good to see them as well as being able to take some pictures out there. I was hoping to have the opportunity to use my tripod, but because of logistics I was not able to. I enjoyed the pictures that I did get to take though.

I just lost 3/4ths of my post. :(( ok that's one thing I don't miss about being on the square.

Fireflower, I know what you're saying about not getting into the Christmas mood. I was really busy so I guess I didn't have time to sit back and really enjoy it.

Justin Bieber is another person who does have some talent, but it sickens me that people make him out to be absolutely awesome. They act like he's the best thing since sliced bread, but another singer or actor will come along and take his place eventually.

"Growing old is mandatory. Growing up is optional."

That's an awesome quote!!! Reminds me of something I read once: "I once heard a fellow firefighter reply to a young boy who had just said
'When I grow up I want to be a firefighter'.
He said 'Son you can do one or the other but not both'"

*reads more of Fireflower's post*

I am doing very good. Thank you for asking. Right now I'm trying to stay busy. Can't stand not doing anything.

Honestly I miss the summer too, but three fourths of our year is summer, so we aren't really use to much winter. Although I would like some snow.

We have slow times in the square and faster times. I'm amazed that there have only been two Town Squares opened this year. We went through loads of them a year or two ago. Fun times. :)

It seems that I've forgotten how to code in quotes...*tries to remember*

Well I must be off. I have to finish making the cookies. :)

*Cor and Vern enter the Square on this overcast day in Archenalnd*

Good Mortereve all! How is everyone this Thursday? Vern and I are doing quite well as are the Royal Couple. :)

*The Prince and Dragon make their way to the fountain and secure the usual seating arrangements*

I can't believe almost two pages have gone by since yesterday!! :-o What happened to a slow Square? :-

*It got a new engine? :p *

Ha ha, very funny.

* :-@ *

Well, time for good old ketchup! With a side of fries and onion rings please! ;)
---------------------------------------------

@ Tiana. Glad to see you around again! :D

No, I have not seen that one yet. I'll probably wait for the DVD to come out, like I usually do. :p

@ Lys. Umm, yeah. Clear as mud and twice as thick. ymwhisle

I still find the book Eragon to be fun, if highly unoriginal. Last night I got KingLune and Lady A to watch HTTYD and they both really enjoyed it. Lady A was very impressed with the CGI, especially the water rendering.

I was wondering what happened to the dear old soundtrack thread, actually.... Anyway, the Clash of the Titans score from 1981 by Laurence Rosenthal is great. It has very classical, almost swashbuckler funness to it. Kind of hard to explain. The new one from 2009? Just skip the soundtrack. It works fine in the film but is not worth a standalone listen.

^There's a link to a video of the Main Titles for the 1981 Clash. :)

@ Rose. Wholeheartedly agree with those statements about How to Train Your Dragon. :D

Hopefully a little longer? Please?? ;)
My first day is Jan. 10th. I'm kind of looking forward to it but also not looking forward to it. I have mixed feelings at this point. :p

@ Bella. Good to see you around here again! :-bd

@ Silver. *Cor and Vern return the wave* Both the film and the soundtrack are now on my "to get" list for 2011. :p

Glad you enjoyed VDT for the second time! I think I'll just wait for the DVD to watch it again. It was fun, but not exactly the kind of film I feel I need to see in the theater again.

@ Mounty. First off: I don't think your post is long enough.... ;)

Ha! Nope, Vern simply goes by.... Vern.

*I do have a nickname that my cousins call me in Dragonish, but I doubt you could pronounce it and a literal translation would be difficult.... :| *

Very true, though I felt they could have cut out the seven swords plot and then have

killing the sea monster be what destroys the Dark Island. Since that what it looked like they were kind of going for anyway.

----------------------------------------------

Alright, that gets it.... for now. I hope everyone has a splendid day and talk with all of you later!

*Cor and Vern exit the Square*

Thanks for the welcomes everybody! :D

So does anyone know when the SC auditions are? I'm not sure, somebody told me they were Jan or Feb, but I don't know yet...if so, that'd be wonderful!

I wasn't hating VotDT. I think there were pros and cons to it.

It was a joke. :p

*waves wildly back at Bella* :D :D

Do you like Skillet, then? And what other music do you like to listen to? I like so many artists... Relient K, Skillet, Switchfoot, Tenth Avenue North, Vitamin String Quartet... my tastes are varied.

Oh yes. One of my favorite bands. :) They're going a little too... hm. I can't remember the word. :P Ah yes, mainstream. I like the style, but some of their lyrics I'm starting to dislike more... :/
I love RelientK! 2nd favorite band probably. :D Switchfoot and TAN are good too... and from what I've heard of VSQ, so are they. But I haven't heard tons by them. I really like Josh Groban and Anberlin and Owl City and Kutless as well... to name a few.

*skims* Farewell all!

You're painting your bathroom, Bella? I hope it's not a big one. ;) What color? And yes, yay for pixar movies! :) Out of the ones you mentioned, I've seen Cars but not Ratatouille. Cars was okay. My personal favorite is WALL-E, though... I see you didn't enjoy that one much. Ah well. I thought it was cute. ;))

And I'm so used to writing '10 at the tops of all my papers that it'll probably be February before I finally remember to write '11. ;))

I have that problem every single year! Except for me, I will probably still be writing '10 well into April. :p

You should read Inkdeath while sitting around the house! ;) But it's okay, I've been sitting around most of my break too. Which reminds me, I still have math homework to do...blah.

Now that is a good idea. ;) I start school this Monday, though, so we'll see if I actually get around to doing that first.
What? Math homework during break?! :-o

Hmmm. I sense the presence of mass-confusion-yet-to-come. In the time I've been on this forum, my very convoluted username has inspired the nicknames Rose, Rose-Tree, Rose Dryad, Dryad, RTD, and TRTD, and I answer to all of 'em. "Hey you!" is perfectly acceptable as well. Ithilwen still harbors the belief that someday I'll become one of the Spoiled Rotten and thus calls me Villain-to-Be, but don't pay attention to her. She's delusional.

*chuckles* I met another Rose on here once, and we named ourselves something original like Rose I and Rose II. :p I haven't seen her around in a long time, though. At one point, she came up with a very unique nickname for me - something along the lines of Her Majesty Rose Louise the First or something. It was quite funny.
But yes. I'll pick one of those nicknames, aside from RTD and TRTD. Or perhaps I'll just go with "The Other Rose". ;)
"Villian-to-Be?" Clever, clever. (I'll keep your warning of Ithilwen in mind.)

My Christmas was all right I guess, Fireflower. I never got into the holiday mood this year, and Christmas itself was actually a bit tedious. Ah well, it wasn't terrible at least. :) It certainly felt amazing to relax! I got to hang out with several close friends, so that was really nice.

I see that you were able to lure Lady A and Mr. Lune into watching it as well, Cor. From facebook, it appears that they enjoyed it! :D
I'll try to stick around this time. ;) We'll see what happens, though. I start school on Monday. :p (Boooooo.)

Hello, all! It seems like I was here just yesterday, but there are now *5* pages to catch up on! What do you guys do on Christmas vacation? Hang out around Town?

The Regency Christmas Ball was a Smashing Success. Christian got the most magnificent old building, and decorated it beautifully. I think everyone had a marvelous time. I did, at least. ;)

Hello, Sonny. :) So far I don't think that I have copyrighted links, so post them at your leisure and pleasure! I agree that it increases interest.

Djaq! I'm sorry for my sudden disappearance last night. I would like to explain it, but I can't, because I don't know what happened.
How have you been? What lovely or not so lovely things have you been doing?

*waves to RubyGamgee* How are you? I love your avie.
The curious thing is, I'm not all that fond of the name Madeline. I'm liking it more and more, however. And somehow names I don't really like seem the best for inanimate objects. It doesn't make sense to me, either.
I actually haven't seen Roman Holiday. :-o ;) It's very high on my list of What to See Next. I am expecting to love it.

*waves to MountainFireflower* A pleasure to meet you! Do you have any approved nicknames? Oooh, you name things, too? Like what?

lysander, wasn't The Woman in White magnificent?! I didn't want it to end. I think it is a new favorite for me, too.
Somehow, Destined doesn't seem to listen to me when I tell her to come to the Square. I'll try....

*waves to AslansCountry* Oh dear. I can't remember if you gave us a suitable nickname? How was your Christmas? What was the best part?

Queen Susan! How are you? I've missed you! Goodness, I didn't know I have an old face. ;)

Reading... some sweet fluffy books from 1905.

I don't suppose you could pass on the titles? I'm in the mood for some sweet and fluffy after the wry humour of Wodehouse's Damsel in Distress. :)

Hearts & Masks and The Princess Elopes by Harold MacGrath. (I've also read his The Grey Cloak, which I enjoyed, but Destined, who is less gullible than I am found more fault with.) I want to read some Wodehouse! As soon as I can get to the library....

I should be delighted if you could come to any future balls! (You would have loved this one. ;) ) I'll try to make sure you get a very regal and important invitation when the next dance is in the works.

*is jealous that Elanor gets to see Betsie, and that Betsie gets to see Elanor* [-(

:) :) :) :)
I think I'm going to put a Cora in the book I might write next month. Also a Dot whom they call Dotty.

*squeaks* Lady Liln! I've managed to put most of my pieces back together, but I think a few are still missing....
I can't wait to get my greedy little hands on The Moonstone. You should read The Woman in White! I want everyone to. ;)
I should be delighted to recommend some Agatha Christie for you. :) I feel like I haven't read that many... only eight or ten. I like the Hercule Poirot ones better than Tommy and Tuppence. I haven't much experience with Miss Marple. So, I would say, read Murder on the Orient Express, Ordeal by Innocence, And Then There Were None. Actually, all of the ones I like best are all very much the same.

My dear Elanor, I do not see how you had any influence at all in bringing me to the Square. Nonetheless, I am very glad to see you. :)

*waves to Dot, Bella, Rose-Tree Dryad, flam, Valia, johobbit, malkah, Tiana Prince Cor and Vern, and returns many joyful Christmas greetings*

I hope I haven't missed anyone. I am a spot scatterbrained at the moment. I hope you all have delightful New Year's Eve celebrations! I'm going to go make moose cookies now. :)
