*plops down by the fire to listen* Oooh I love read alouds. Today is the perfect day for them. It is grey and rainy or wait I think it has stopped raining and switched to snowing. I really don't want to go out tonight but we are meeting members of our Bible study for dinner and to see Son of God.

I love read alouds too, Twigs, especially beloved stories ... and hi!
but we are meeting members of our Bible study for dinner and to see Son of God.
I first read this "and to see the Son of God". Wow, what a privilege that would be if He joined you at your Bible study. I mean, in person.
Enjoy the film! We saw it a couple of weeks ago.

I suppose I could be an acronym like "YWFMB". Or maybe just "FMB" for short. Awkward... I didn't really pick my username for its pronuncibility I guess!! I am open to suggestions.
I majored in communications in college, and I do proposal writing for my job.
Reading about your weather makes me so thankful I live in the South! I hate the cold. I'd be pleased if we had maybe one week of winter per year, just for variety, and then went back to being warm.
You can call me Willow if you want to.
Honestly, my biggest problem when I stop by here is that I keep looking to "like" things. We aren't allowed to like them openly - only secretly. Shhhh.
You Will Find Me Bigger - I foresee "Biggs" in your future? But if you are Biggs, then I claim Skywalker.
That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you're not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong. ~ F.Scott Fitzgerald
Your username is so awesome, You Will Find Me Bigger, that's the thing ... a very good thing: 'tis such a wonderful line from PC.
*Likes every post in the Town Square* (surreptitiously, that is )
P.S. 83 more posts until I reach 13,000!

Ha, I suppose Facebook has spoiled us for the rest of life. I find myself wanting to hit "like" on work emails to acknowledge receipt without having to actually reply! Actually I think Outlook should add that as a feature. I hate it when I send something to a bunch of people and a dozen of them reply with "Thanks" or "Will do." It's such a time waster because I have to open each one to see if it's just an acknowledgement, or if they have follow-up questions or comments. If I could just see that they hit "acknowledge" it would be a lot faster.
I actually am liking "FMB" ("find me bigger") as a nickname for my screen name... maybe in part because it's close to my actual initials. No regrets on my screen name choice; it's my favorite line in the whole Chronicles. But I do understand wanting an abbreviation for everyday use.
And now I suppose it's time to go back to sleep. It was one of those Fridays where I came home exhausted and crashed before the sun even went down, then woke back up just as everyone was going to bed. At least I don't have to be anywhere early in the morning!
You can call me Willow if you want to.
A girl wearing a long green gown and roses in her hair (in truth, not exactly the survivalist-looking sort) staggers into the Square carrying a very large, very cumbersome duffel bag filled to the gills with dehydrated food items, a water catchment and purifying system, some very peculiar-looking swiss army knives, and a deflated bouncy house in case of need for shelter, among other things. She sets the bag on the ground by the fountain and then plops down on the stone bench, panting and wiping her brow.
Hello there! I've heard tell that Something is afoot in the NarniaWebbian Realms, and Hugh Hologram over in the Spare Oom said to Be Prepared and that the old Square would be a good place to stop and hunker down for the time being—as well as eat, drink and be merry! Indeed, I have been meaning to pop back in here for a long, long time and this was an excellent excuse. So, I cobbled together a few things I thought might be useful, and here I am!
You Will Find Me Bigger, I haven't had a chance to welcome you to NarniaWeb yet! I love your username! One of my favorite Aslan quotes. Willow crossed my mind as a possible nickname when I first saw your username, but FMB sounds super easy to remember and type as well!
I should tell you that things often go a bit strange around these parts shortly after springtime comes, but just hold on for the ride and you should be fine.
Care for a prune, anyone, or perhaps some beef jerky?
Good mortereve, Rose-tree, and thanks for the greetings!
Oh my. Your survival kit sounds a bit... heavy. Um, might I recommend finding a nice hotel to weather the coming Event? If I understand correctly, I believe there's a lovely Inn right off the Town Square. (bouncyhouseohmygoodnessthatmustweighaton)
I had suggested FMB for my nickname, but I *do* love the name Willow. The connection to my screen name might be a bit tenuous, but you're welcome to call me Willow if you like! I suppose it goes well with "Rose-tree Dryad."
*Offers some peanuts.*
You can call me Willow if you want to.
Ooh, peanuts! Yum! *adds a handful to the Be Prepared rations*
The Inn does sound quite nice! I do wonder if the management has done any emergency drills for the zombie apocalypse and the like, though. One must be prepared for anything these days.
I love the name Willow, too! It's so pretty. You can call me Rose if you like—just about everyone around these parts does.
Oh dear, it seems I've forgotten the blow-up-inator-thing-a-mabob for inflating the bouncy house. This could take a while.
*Stands by with oxygen for when Rose passes out from blowing up the bouncy house*
Zombie apocalypse, eh? If you're going camping, there are a few more mundane hazards you might wish to consider, like dehydration, heat exhaustion, and (depending on where you live) feral hogs.
You can call me Willow if you want to.
Thank you— *huff* —very much— *puff* —Willow.
Dehydration, heat exhaustion and feral hogs? Oh my!
Well, I do have a water catchment and purifying system for dehydration, and the rosebush growing out of my head ought to provide at least a little bit of shade for warding off the sun's merciless rays, but I have no idea how one defends oneself against rampaging feral hogs.
As long as they aren't rampaging feral zombie hogs, however, I suppose I have a fighting chance.
Upon hearing the news about something unknown approaching -- apparently, something that will reverberate across the forum -- as well as some strange poem about springtime and shattering glass, I thought maybe it is time that I make my first appearance in the Town Square. So, hello everyone.
*Catches wind of the latest few strains of conversation in the Square* Rampaging feral hogs? Upcoming zombie apocalypse? Now I am grateful indeed that I have come here to join up with other NWebbers. Perhaps our combined brainpower will solve the riddle. *Glances around nervously and hopes she doesn't hear the sounds of giant zombie hogs in the distance*
Mortereve, all!
Popping in to tell the old Square that I haven't forgotten it, and, of course, to make my bimonthly visit to the chocolate tree. And because I see a new face!
Hello, You Will Find Me Bigger! (I really like your username.) It's good to have you on Narniaweb, and I'm glad that you found the Square. I am Aslanisthebest--you can call me AitB or Bella (not from Twilight.) I am a writer, too, and I agree that time/patience is a struggle with novel writing. I have not written anything of novel length, but it was one of my New Year's Resolutions to do so. What kind of fantasy do you like to write?
Well, school has been going pretty okay for me. I'm flip flopping with my major, but I've decided not to make any permanent changes at this point. The weather has finally stayed above freezing for some days, so that has done tremendous things to my productivity.
*walks by the chocolate tree and plucks a couple plummy chocolate-covered almonds off it*
I am the same with my course. I am currently doing pharmacy but I have applied to switch to psychology next semester. 2 units I am doing are the same as the psych course and the other 2 the psychology department manager said I can use as the electives that you do the second year. In short I can sill finish my degree in 4 years.
About 2 weeks into doing pharmacy I though what am I doing?. I am not finding the course work overly difficult but it is too boring. The chemistry labs are a pain and I very much dislike one of the pharmacy lab supervisors. I do however enjoy my foundations and biology units(these two are part of the psych course aswell).
I am not too keen on a few of my flat mates. One of them is very nosey(He asks me where I am going when ever he sees me leave or where I have been if he sees me come back? and want except "out"). They also Have parties and leave a terrible mess in the kitchen(I have Saturday morning commitments and I do not ant to slip on a lime and fall in 2 minuet noodles in the morning as I get my coffee).
How has everyone else been?
Zombie apocalypse? Zombie feral hogs? Yikes!
Something is coming, it seems, and only time will tell what it might be. Be prepared, indeed!
I like your new nickname, Willow. If you don't mind I'll use it as well. I like to camp but am not familiar with feral hogs. In this part of the country we're more likely to hear (or, very rarely, even encounter) wolves, bears, or coyotes. I'm looking forward to camping this summer, enjoying the stars under a bonfire with friends, if this winter ever ends.
But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.
I've been enjoying (with mayyyybe just a little edge of terror) the mental image of rampaging zombie hogs.
Non-zombie hogs are scary enough. They are the descendants of pigs who escaped generations ago from farms, and reverted to their wild European boar ancestry. They aren't native to the southern US, and have no natural predators here other than humans, so they tend to be fruitful and multiply and destroy native species. They grow to massive size, and while they don't hunt humans for food, they're very territorial and have touchy egos (kind of like hippos) so they can be quite dangerous. Best to give them a wide berth.
I've encountered coyotes in the wild before, but we don't have wolves or bears here (though I've seen wild black bears when visiting points east!).
I'm hoping to get to do my first camping trip of spring in a few weeks. Camping with friends is fun, but I also like going alone. I go backpacking and primitive back-country camping, but honestly I'm more of a camper than a hiker. It's all about finding a quiet and scenic spot to read a good book.
You can call me Willow if you want to.
