Happy New Year everyone
I really can't believe 2011 is over, it seemed to last forever and then it suddenly ended. I hope this new year will bring wonderful things to all of you
anybody have fun with fireworks yesterday? We did, we had big ones and small ones, it was heaps of fun. There were so many people doing fireworks that it was so loud, kinda reminded me of a war, except that there were colorful flying lights everywhere. We also let out flying lanterns (like the ones in Tangled) one of them got stuck in a tree and I was almost afriand it would set the tree on fire but thankfully it was snowing outside and all the branches were wet so everything was fine.

We also went for a walk on the frozen pond (the one that I had fallen through a few days early but it had gotten colder and now the pond is frozen solid :) ) it was a little spooky but very adventures. I didn't quite have the faith to go to the middle of the pond, I just went a few yard from the shore. De was so angry at me though :p

anyway I hope you all had a delightful new years eve and I hope the new year will be delightful :)

always be humble and kind

Well may you all have a wonderfully happy year! May God be with you all and may you never depart from His presence!
May praises rise always from our mouths of the great and awesome things that our Father in heaven has done! He is awesome and powerfully and best of all He loves you and me as dear children! May the new year bring to you new understandings into the mysteries of His Kingdom, and may our hearts always be filled with His love for us and for those around us!

Bella: I am very glad I was able to bless you! May God bless you amazingly this year!

Well I just though that I should stop by on the first day of the year. And now I shall depart. Until our paths cross once again, fare thee well. :)

Oh dear, it's been so long since I've stopped by that I had to stop someone and ask directions for how to find the Town Square...so embarrassed! Perhaps my first New Year's resolution should be to visit NarniaWeb a lot more often!!! Now that I have my very own iPad, maybe I shall be able to do that! If only Apple could invent a way to bestow more free time ;;)

Well, I stopped by to say Happy New Year, so:
-----> "Happy New Year" <-----

There, I feel so much better!

And to share the news (I'm so excited) that a fun post I wrote for my blog that features a pic of Luke the Narnia Kitten was picked up by another blog, which meant loads more visitors than I've had in a long time and pushes that post into my top ten posts of all time. In case you don't remember Luke the Narnia Kitty, you can see his pic here

:-$ Don't tell Lady A but I stole her kitty for this one...

Hello, all :)

Thought I'd pop in considering I never have spent much time on the forum-I've been here since summer and only 20-something posts!

I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. No snow for us, sadly...yet :D All we've had is rain. But rain's good. I like rain :P

And naturally, I dunno what to write, so...

I haven't been in the aquare in a long time...long time. :P

Anyway, I celebrated my one-year-aniversary on this account. :)

Hello, fellow Square Onions! I hope you all are doing well? :)

I'm afraid I haven't been in for quite some time. And the Square has been way too quiet lately, too. :-o
Last semester was incredibly busy for me---in addition to heavy classes, I took an important professional exam. God was gracious, though, and I made it through pretty well in the end in both my classes and the exam. :) I spent most of Christmas break working on graduate school applications and got those submitted shortly before this semester started.
This week will be the third week of classes, and I'm starting to get into a schedule now. I'm only taking four classes, but three of them are senior-level engineering courses and will be pretty challenging. The last class, though, is a lot easier and is probably of the most interest to you all---Introduction to Self-Defense. B-) I'm really enjoying it so far, even if I am an incredibly lousy puncher.

...And that's about all that's been going on with me for the past six months or so, which really isn't a lot. ;)) I'm hoping this semester will be a bit less time-consuming and challenging than last semester, but I'm not holding my breath.

*enters the square and nails up several signs.*

A white Easter, Twigs? Perhaps.

It's happened before. ;)) It isn't far we get a little snow and then it melts and then we get a little more and it melts. Why do the temperatures keep going up and down and up and down? It's winter; it should be cold.

Ok, as bad as this makes me feel, I'm not going to even attempt a catch-up post. Sorry! Maybe someday I'll get around to reading through all of those pages... and if my mind says "You need to respond to that", I will pm the original person. But, yeah. Me lazy. This too much work. :p

Anyway, I thought I'd drop by and let you know I'm still alive. ;)) Ok, see you soon... I hope. ;)

PA, I quite like your idea of dropping in to say that I am still alive.

...Though, come to think of it, the fall from wherever might finish me off. In which case...

*is silly*

Anyway, hello! Hello! I've called you up to say hello! Can you hear me, oooooooh?

*is still silly*

I wish I could come up with a topic of conversation that would be of interest to y'all. Perhaps we could mention a favourite snack?

I am of the opinion that cheese and crackers is one of the best things ever. In fact, I once received a package of cheese and crackers for my birthday and that was distinctly fabulous. I talk about it even more than the time I received chocolate, so I suppose that tells you something. ;)) Also, a few days ago I saw a recipe for a breakfast of toast with almond butter, pears, and a little bit of cinnamon. If I had almond butter and pears I would try it. :)

*stumbles into the quiet Square and grabs some chocolate for strength*

It's been quiet here of late. Perhaps people are busy with their school or work schedules after the holidays.

Or maybe it's the springlike weather here in the north. ;)) It makes me want to go camping.

...It's winter; it should be cold.

You know the old proverb about "be careful what you wish for..." ;)) February has had some spectacularly cold weather, including a long stretch back in 1996 which saw a new state record low temperature of -60F/-51C near Tower.

But nothing's really on the map for that kind of chill this year. Just today the weather forecaster noted that no cold weather's due before mid-February - and by then, we're starting back on the upswing toward spring temperatures (the average high climbs to freezing by the end of the month). Better enjoy that snow.

Snacks? I like cheese and crackers too, Mel. Now if there was a way to get dark chocolate involved as well. :) Speaking of cinnamon, rolls from Cinnabon (or the homemade ones my mother used to make) are right up there on that list too. I guess I just like to eat. ;)

But all night, Aslan and the Moon gazed upon each other with joyful and unblinking eyes.

I was just wondering who comes up with role-play ideas, what the rules are about them, and how large they have to be.

Hmm, chocolate, crackers and cheese, you say? I have a recipe for that! *whips up her special creamy chocolate cheesecake with graham cracker crust*

*puts out a pile of mattresses for people to land on if they drop by* There, that way anyone who drops in won't get hurt.

;)) Yes I know. Wow, that's cold. *shivers and coughs just thinking about it.*

Snacks: I love cinnamon rolls. I'm not a big fan of cheese and crackers. I like crackers a lot by themselves though. I prefer cheese melted. It tastes better that way. Usually, I snack on fruits or veggies.

OOooh! I was going to suggest some sort of soft cheese (because in my experience dark chocolate is kind of hard) and a Ritz cracker... but cheesecake. :x

I like your location. ;))

Awwww, Twigs! You're so thoughtful! *bounces on the mattresses* Yep! They work! ;) :D

Right. Drop in to say I'm still alive.

Not that there's a whole lot going on in my life. I've been working out more (got to be able to do more push-ups!), watching The Price is Right a lot (got to have someone win Cover Up already!), and writing a bit more (got to get back to the Ditto Story someday...).

I love crackers, but I'm not a cheese person (as some know). I do like Wheat Thins, and have a box of them next to me right now.

Now, for all of you who like crackers... how much do you think the actual retail price of a box of Keebler Town House crackers is? :p Actually, let's play a game. How much do you think each of these items are? Give a guess for each one, total them up and see how close your total is to the actual total...

A bottle of Hidden Valley ranch dressing
A single roll of Viva paper towels
A Boboli 12" pizza crust
A 16oz. box of Keebler Town House crackers
A package of Birdola Plus bird feed

Once you're ready, go ahead and peek at the answer:

Spoiler
Ranch dressing is $3.79, paper towels are $2.69, the pizza crust is $4.69, the crackers are $4.19, and the bird feed is $5.99, for a total of $21.35.

And if your total is $2 or less away from the actual total, you win a virtual restored vintage 1962 Lincoln Continental convertible to drive around Ditto Town with! ;)

Hey, stardf! Glad to see you drop by! :)

It'd be fun to see you back in the Ditto Story. Hope you have some time to write for it!

The Price is Right now reminds me of visiting my parents. ;)) My dad likes to watch it and is pretty good at some of the games.

I was just wondering who comes up with role-play ideas, what the rules are about them, and how large they have to be.

You're welcome to start a role-play of your own! Just post a teaser/plot summary over in the Cavern Tavern with a request that interested people PM you to join. You can also "advertise" it in your signature.

The Fountain is the place to actually start your new RP. Please be sure to include the title in each of your posts to keep things clear. If a Fountain RP becomes popular enough, the moderators can create a separate "Featured RP" thread for it.

I see you've posted in Supernova, so you're familiar with the Post Office and how characters work. More helpful info can be found all over Ditto Town: in the Section Rules, the Ditto Town Lexicon, as well as in the opening posts in the Fountain and Featured RPs.

If you have questions I've not answered, feel free to send a PM to any of our friendly Ditto Town moderators (Rising_Star, Bookwyrm, Lady Arwen, or me). Thanks!
