The tavern was a very smoky, smelly, distasteful place, but Tristan didn't focus on any of that. He grinned maliciously at Evewen's reaction as they walked through the door, and approached her table.
"Hello, Evie. It's been awhile. Oh wait--" He feigns a contemplative look, "No, it hasn't been long at all, has it? So much for your attempt at escape." He takes a seat across from her, and his face becomes less jovial and more menacing. "Sephora's not happy with you... and neither am I."

Evewen watched as the 3 bandits approached her, trying to compose herself into a relaxed expression. When Tristan sat down, she grinned, flashing white teeth as her fingers traced the rim of her tin mug. She knew she was in trouble, but she tried to play it cool. When Tristan finished speaking, she said, "That's nothing new..."
She leaned forward a bit, "Oh, and I wouldn't try anything if I were you. Each of these men are extremely loyal to my father and me."

Quill followed Tristan into the Tavern, ignoring the gazes of some of the pirates as they entered. The place reeked with all manor or smells that would surely make your stomach turn, or at least, if you weren't used to them. Beer, sweat, smoke and food were among the things that scented the air. Evewen wasn't hard to pick out, sitting at a table alone. Her expression told them all she had spotted them. Quill took a seat with Tristan, sitting on the side of the table, nearer Evewen. She heard her whisper about the men being extremely loyal.
The young woman chuckled. "Yes, but it looks like they are rather distracted right now." Quill said, flashing a cool smile. She didn't necessarily dislike Evewen, but she had betrayed the clan, and Sephora wanted her. "And if you try to scream...things could get messy..."

Evewen's gaze slid to Quill and she scowled. "I haven't screamed in a very long time. Why would I start now?"
She leaned back in her chair and asked, "How's my mother? Probably fuming, I'm sure." She shivered. "So glad I wasn't there when she found out."

Tristan took note of her warning, but merely shrugged it off and chuckled, agreeing with Quill's point. "If you think I'm frightened by a bunch of drunken sailors, think again. These guys are so full of rum, they can't even see straight."
Tristan leaned a bit closer and gave her a menacing glare, making sure she noticed his hand caressing the handle of one of his long knives. "I think we should discuss this outside. Let's go... and quietly, please. I'd hate to have to do something nasty."

Evewen glared at Tristan, shoving her plate away. She stood and walked toward the tavern's exit, flipping her hair behind her shoulder. A few pairs of eyes were on her, but she ignored the stares.
When she got to the door, she pulled it open and motioned for them to exit.

Quill raised a brow, but left the tavern stepping out onto into the night. She wasn't exactly sure what Tristan had planned, but she knew the young man wouldn't be happy until he got his revenge. She turned to look back at the Tavern door as the others came out.

Vincent stepped off the gangplank of the ship, quietly sighing, his boots pounding on the wooden dock planks. The towns streets seemed to finally have settled down. There were few people out, except for the drunk pirate stumbling about here and there. All peasants had long since gone to bed, and the sober buccaneers had returned to ship to get in at least a few hours of shut eye before dawn. He too could have turned in, but his restless mind, now filled with images and thoughts of Isla, could not wind down quiet yet. Plus he had been nagged with the thought of where Evewen would sleep. He wondered what part of him even made him wonder that, and why he bothered to try and find her, considering the very late (early) hour. She could be in any Tavern, or even asleep by now, but he doubted that, and he suspected the place she would go. He guessed that his good side, his side which respected all ladies and touched him with guilt when ever his blade rammed through anyone, had made him seek her out to offer her a place to sleep aboard the ship
He found the place he sought rather quickly, but stopped as he saw three others, Evewen with them. exit the tavern. Evewen looked distressed, her expression giving her away. He raised a brow, wondering who the ones with her were. He didn't fear interrupting this meeting, so he boldly approached them. "Good evening" he said, a wry smile on his lips. "I didn't know you had any friends here Evewen" he looked at her, his eyes asking her what was going on.

Evewen was the last to exit the tavern. She pulled the door shut behind her and leaned on it for a few seconds before stepping down the stairs that led to the street. She looked at each of the bandits in turn and said, "I suppose you're going to take me back to my--" She stopped when she heard Vincent's deep voice behind her.
Evewen turned and shook her head. Oh, just lovely...
She placed a tendril of hair behind her ear and said, "I don't. They've been sent by my mother..."

"By your Mother, eh?" Vincent said, suddenly alert. He knew that her Mother was the leader of a bandit clan, and not a woman to be trifled with. He further knew, Evewen had taken that ring she delivered to her Father, from her Mother and these people could be here to make her give it back....or bring her back to wherever, by force. He eyed Tristan, and the long knife he was fingering. "Do you know how to use that?" he asked the bandit, nothing in his voice.

Blink was slightly upset when he found that they would be leaving the Tavern so quickly, he had already started watching a dice game on a near by table, and had already picked out which players were sure to lose. But he reluctantly followed the others as they left the Tavern.
When they got out to the street, another man, who looked like a sailor, approached them and seemed to know Evewen. The man asked Tristan if he knew how to use his weapon.
That's a silly question. Blink thought, Why would he be holding it if he didn't know how to use it?
Blink looked to Tristan for his response.

Tristan sized up this new man, wondering who he was, but knowing he was probably one of Evewen's father's men. "Yes, I do know how to use it..." he moved his cloak slightly, revealing another knife sheathed on the other side of his belt. "And this one too. But I don't plan on using them..." an insincere grin crosses his face, "Evewen and I are such good friends, after all."

Evewen growled and took a step toward Tristan, her eyes darkening. "How dare you." Her hand flew against his jaw, wiping the grin right off, and she continued in an angered tone, "Don't you ever put you and I in the same sentence with the word 'good' again..."

Tristan jerked his head back after the impact, his eyes wide with surprise. He clenched his jaw, and glared at her. "That's the second time tonight you've hit me. Don't try for a third... I'm not that forgiving." He cast a sidelong look at the other man. He didn't want this to end up in a fight, because he honestly didn't know how skilled this pirate might turn out to be. Still, he decided to play it tough. "We've been sent to fetch this girl and bring her back. Are you going to give us trouble?"

"Leave now and I won't have a reason to hit you a third time..." Evewen mumbled as she moved away from Tristan and towards Vincent. She looked at the trio and lifted her brow in a silent challenge. "If he doesn't, my father will."

Vincent looked from Evewen to Tristan, trying to keep his demeanor perfectly aloof, although his eyes were piercing and serious "Ah, I think the proper question is are you going to give me trouble?" his face went blank and he leveled his gaze with the bandit's, "I do not plan on allowing you to take her anywhere."
Quill glared at the bold pirate, her face twisted into an cool, angry expression. This was turning out to be not as simple as any of them expected.
